Harry Evans edit and minor revision
🕑 Added 2024-08-13 14:22:09 +0000 UTCI don't think if anyone's noticed, but I recently went back to edit the entirety of Harry Evans for grammar and consistency. One minor thing that I changed that you should know is that I wasn't liking the romantic development with Tonks. I felt that if I continued in that direction it would detract from the other themes of this story. I just don't feel like I can juggle so many themes, so that's what I decided to quit.
In addition I've been getting annoying PMs about the ages of the characters, and maybe this is just me not wanting to deal with that anymore.
I don't think its a huge revision, or that it detracts from the story, but I'm sorry if you liked the way it was going and are now disappointed.
Anyway, with the new year starting there should be enough things to distract yourselves with :) In the next few chapters there will be a bombshell, probably one of the biggest ones we've had yet.

I think you could've kept the past chapters the same and instead just not mention the relationship bits going forward instead imo. Alas now we lost sum smut (and good smut at that) :(

Gotta be honest Chief, i only clued into the fact you wanted to make their relationship romantic just after reading this I feel kind of silly, considering i can now kinda see it could have gone that direction yeah (should have taken the hint after her boyfriend died...) For me, that relationship not developing in that direction doesn't really dissapoint me. Character wise i don't think she's that great of a contrast to him, which what i usually enjoy in fiction.

I was honestly enjoying that small relationship, now with the recent changes it turned their friendship kinda semi awkward. You could always just keep it as a minor subplot only bringing it up when its appropriate without the need to consistently shovel it in.

Well shit, I was enjoying their original interactions. Still the edits don't detract from the overall plot and its your story at the end of the day.

Aww... Now the whole masterplan reason for Tonks being in the wrong year is gone. :( If she's 18 now, she has the same age as her canon counterpart, but she should have graduated last year. So... either she had to take a year off, or her parents sent her to school a year late. (perhaps so she could get her metamorph powers under control before starting school?) Anyways... it was such a nice mystery why Tonks was in the wrong year until we found out that she's actually a year older than her classmates.
