That was very thought-provoking! And I really laughed out loud when you mentioned Yamcha as ‘daddy’s coming home to roost’! But the whole Dragon Ball wish number thing is definitely confusing... wonder if Toriyama ever wrote things down (probably not!)

Aewsome retrospective! If I may, I’d like to add some extra details that require some thought. Yamcha might be hoping Vegeta’s gone and didn’t come back because of his specific no evil person brought back rule, but Vegeta (unlike Yamcha, Tenshinhan, or Piccolo) was already revived by Shenron, so he wouldn’t come back anyway (perhaps Toryama forgot about that). I really wish fusion had been better introduced organically, because it really feels like it came out of nowhere.
