A little preamble for those that don't know what HPDTNP is. Every month we hold the B.A.P poll, every second month we hold a HPDTNP poll. The HPDTNP is a time when patrons can cast their suggestions for what pack is made. The final choice is semi-random (we filter through them to make sure they make sense) so any one of your suggestions can be chosen.

9 Suggestions this time round as well, so for those that are unhappy with the result, you've only yourselves to blame for not skewing the voting pool in favor of other options. >:D
Medieval towns are pretty much a dime a dozen in fantasy settings, so not sure whether to go the historical route (i.e. take inspiration from a particular period/culture) here or just do generic fantasy (anything goes as long as the vibe is right).

I was debating with myself whether to switch this suggestion to a Citi style, but I think the City (with a `y`) style might offer a more unique approach, albeit be more work. I don't quite know if there's anything outside the norm that one can suggest we do here but I would love to hear your suggestions on this.
1. Should we do it in the City/Citi style (20ft/40ft scale)?
2. What would you want us to add here to give the pack a bit of nice spice?
3. Do you think we should go the Historical route? If so, any suggestions for periods/cultures?

You're right. Can't lump a bunch of different cultures together in a pack. It would lose its cohesion. Though I think most folk were recommending we just pick a particular culture and stick to that one. Considering that European Medieval stuff may be overdone, want to try and pick something a bit different. I'm seeing a few suggestions for Asia and it seems like a good direction (might mix well with some of the cyberpunk stuff).

I'm also not the least interested in medieval fantasy, since there are tons of creators offering such packs. Now having said that, I think that for your own sanity's sake, you can't be geographically broad (I saw people suggesting what to me sounded like a mix of Asian, African, and European cultures, which is great, but quite unfeasible). I would suggest medieval/early modern Japan (because I love it, and I love L5R), but only if it was a battlemap pack. It would, however, be very different from what we use to consider medieval fantasy.

Wouldn't that kinda go outside the medieval period? More like antiquity there. But maybe the architectural style survived across the periods?...

Personally I’d like to see African/desert Carthaginian style buildings. Or Rome/greek buildings. There’s minimal representation.
