The way this movie hurts me is not as emotional as the book, that book ruined me . I took at least a month to recover. I can't read it again. It's just too well written and makes you feel despair on levels I never knew.

This movie needs to be broadcast by NBC, on as many platforms online as possible, and shown in all schools...today more than ever we have to realize the way Germany was during WW2 is so similar to how things are going in the USA today. A lot of our people have lost the ability to empathize, they ignore, and denigrate those who are different...even nurses, and doctors in our hospitals have lost the ability to care, and simply are apathetic, and callous to others. The hypocrisy of many of the evangelical churches as well. If Jesus were to return today, most of these churches, and its members he would say "I never knew you", and would turn away from them, and send them places I wouldn't want to go to. Oskar was a womanizer, and a businessman who only valued money, but something struck a chord in that man, and he chose to save as many people as he could. He regretted not saving more. The Schindler Jews that he saved made sure he was able to survive, that named him a righteous person, and today he is perhaps the only Nazi that is buried on Mount Zion in the holy land near the old temple in Jerusalem. God rest his soul...He was down deep a good man. We need to turn to good in this country, and stop allowing hate to control our minds/hearts. Bless everyone, and I hope for your future. Brian

Harrison Ford was the first offered the role of Oskar but turned it down because no one would see pass the Indiana Ford or Han Solo. Mel Gibson and Kevin Costner were also approached to play the part. Costner turned the role down and regretted it. Liam Neeson was an unknown actor that selected in the end. Also Ralph Fiennes lost an Oscar Award for his performance to Tommy Lee Jones in "The Fugitive". I feel Fiennes was robbed of that Oscar.

I'm very shocked to see this. I remember Blank saying something about us not putting J through this one until we hit 100k. I've been looking forward to this one for a long time, and I'm so glad you did it. A film that everyone needs to see.
