real chimps are mean, they kill each other in the wild all the time. Gorillas and Orangatangs are peaceful but chimps are psychopathic at times.

These new apes films may not be a direct prequel to the original film starring Charlton Heston- but they are connected in spirit. The screenplay for the original film in 1968 was written by Rob Sterling the creator of the Twilit Zone TV show.
