August Project Update
🕑 Added 2020-08-02 14:28:35 +0000 UTCHello everyone, it's your boy Lone_Wanderer here once again. We have been hibernating for a bit, and one may be wondering: what is happening behind the screens?
Overall, everyone has still been working on their parts of the game: Rriik has been refining the programming of the game further and adding new features, and we have gotten some assets done.
Rauch has finished making some new icons for our patron tiers. They themselves are a little bit of a hint to what kind of role these objects play in the game, but hopefully even at surface level they just sound and look cool enough.
We have also worked on a new feature where you get to see the player character's portrait in the lower left of the screen. Previously when we had shared a post on our new UI design you might have noticed a diamond shape next to the text box; that is exactly where the new portraits are going to be. Folsky's been hard at work to get a set of bust expressions done for Nyrok. Here are some of them, of course still works in progress for now:
Now, story-wise we have mapped out most of the endings so far and several of the key points in between the current content and the endings. We still need a bit more time, but we are hoping that we can get started working on new content by next month; however, should we still need more time, we won't be charging until we really start working on new content.
The few key issues with the story in general now are possible consistency issues: Even now there are a couple of inconsistencies with Nyrok himself in the available content. We won't be rewriting the entire game from the ground up again, however these are changes I wanted to work on anyway, even before our change in writing staff.
Unfortunately, we can't dive into the specifics of the writing progress, but we'll keep you updated with any new developments.
