Since the launch of the new Godot-based release last month, Identity has had a positive reception by users across all platforms and has seen an influx of user feedback. If you haven't already, check out the release post up above for more information!
While we are very thankful and flattered by your response, we realize there have been some minor issues that should be addressed. This is what release v0.3.0.1 is about!
Nothing has changed content-wise, however we have fixed a suite of bugs and issues that were reported by our players. You can refer to the changelog down below for the full list.
The main difference is that we have de-cluttered the save menu interface by moving the save/load/delete buttons on the saves themselves. We also addressed the annoying bug on Android that would make the buttons default to acting on the very first save slot in the list. Overall, the menu should feel much easier to use now.
We have also addressed an important issue reported by a lot of players, which is that the game would confuse players upon reaching the end of the playable content. With this version, the game now returns to the main menu at the end of day 5.
Other bugfixes focus around glitches, crashes and art assets not showing up correctly along some parts of the game. All in all, the game should be more stable with this patch.

- Remastered all SFX and ambience tracks (previous save files may not load some audio tracks in this version).
- Fixed problem with game not returning to main menu after finishing playable content (day 5 prisoner line problem).
- Moved save/load/delete buttons on the save menu to the slots and fixed their behaviour. Also de-cluttered the menu, allowing 3 save slots to be fully displayed.
- Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the game to crash when clicking through the game rapidly.
- Fixed an issue with backgrounds sometimes not refreshing if skipping was activated during a background transition.
- Fixed minor bug that would reset the "Mute all" audio setting whenever the options menu was opened.
- Fixed bug where game would crash (desktop) or do nothing (android) when saving the game by pressing the save button shortcut above the textbox, and produce corrupted save files.

Hey! While we don't want the story to lock people down to one character in particular (hence why there are free time segments where you can choose who to spend time with in the game), you will probably not have enough opportunities to fully develop your relationship with more than one character per playthrough. We will also be revising the free time segments in future versions so that they don't feel as separated from the main story.

In future developments, do you plan on having more time to interact with each character. One of the problems I have with these is that developing connections with characters tends to turn one and only pretty quick.
