The Animatrix is awesome. I bought it just for the scene with the girl with the star on her face. I would say though it's probably for true super fans only or people that love anime.

So I have always felt that Cypher isn’t thinking this through. He’s trusting a cold calculating AI to hold up their end of the deal. Why would they? And how would he know if they did. He said he wants to remember nothing. If he remembers nothing he won’t remember the deal and won’t know that he’s going get anything. For all he knows he could be flushed down the drain. There’s no incentive for the AI to keep a deal since there’s no one to report on their integrity. They are in charge. The only people who know that fact, aren’t going to know if any betrayals work out for the others who helped them.

I enjoyed watching this one again with you guys. It was such a groundbreaking effort, and I’ve long since lost track of how many times I’ve watched it. But like several others, it will continue to live for many years to come. I never really clicked with any of the sequels, and I thought the reboot from a few years ago was very weak. But to each their own.
