I always thought Built to Spill was a cheap rock band (like Shinedown or some garbage) growing up purely based on the name but came around to listen this year and they've become one of my favorite bands ever. Yuge mistake! Cool hearing that they were one of your high school/college favorites too

Tim I suspect you have listened to Tobias Jesso Jr, but if I’m wrong I hope that you do. Goon is his one and only solo record released 10-ish years ago now. I would argue that it is one of the greatest modern singer songwriter albums, and one that I return to often.
