George Alderman had one of the longest professional racing careers of all time, clocking in at 49 years on the track in a large variety of machines, ranging from open wheelers to touring cars, and obviously sports cars. In 1966, he won the SCCA North-Eastern regional championships in his blue Lotus 23. This is his car as it ran the Bridgehampton 500, in the up-to 2000cc race. Here, Alderman teamed up with Dick Young to finish 2nd overall, 1st in class, just behind the Porsche 904 of Herb Wetanson.

So it is the lotus_23_1_5 ? but in 65 the car that raced was a 23B (https://www.racingsportscars.com/results/Bridgehampton-1965-09-19a.html)

Well, the head roll bar on the B model, with three supports, seems different from the one in the real photo, with two. (Nitpicking, I know...)

For the sake of historical accuracy, I have tried to find more information (complicated, since I'm not an expert in these matters and the information is very old and scattered) and the only thing I have found is something related to a Lotus 23 Climax: http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/racelist2.php?uniqid=5254. I don't know then if the closest option would be the 850cc version of the Legion Lotus 23... EDITED: Doh! I'm seeing that for this car there are Climax engines with various displacements in all Legion versions...

Sorry but... exactly which of the many versions of the Legion Lotus 23 is this skin for? I can't find one called just "lotus_23", they're all B, C, or different engine versions... And thanks for sharing your excellent work!
