Le Mans 1970 - Chevron B16 #49

The third and final B16 that raced at Le Mans in 1970. This one also being a part of the Chevron Racing Team, running the FVC 1.8L engine instead of the 2L BMW in #44.
Ian Skailes was a fanatic Chevron racer through and through, racing Chevron's exclusively during his two year career together with John Hine. In 1970, the B16 he bought had some decent successes. At Le Mans in 1970, he and Hine raced the car straight to a DNF - a valve gear broke as it did on sister car #44.
