When Sonny Tropano promised her a promotion, she didn’t know she’d end up on strings. Now she still greets customers after dark — face cracked porcelain white, eyes glowing like cheap neon. Her voice plays on repeat through the speakers, soft and syrupy:
“Welcome to Munch Master… where everyone leaves with a smile.”
And if you hear that voice after closing time — smile back.
