"Hey! How can you drop the ball in such a critical place!" Gurley rarely showed a truly panicked expression, "If we die here, we will also die in reality!" "
"It's all because you want me to make such a big movement in the snow-capped mountain area!" Aker quickly hugged Venus, whose eyes had turned into spinning circles. "Now is not the time to complain, let's run and wait until Venus wakes up!"
The two men held the unconscious girl and started running wildly on the vast icy field. Behind them, the white torrent was quickly drawing closer.
"What is going on... Venus has already fainted, so the supply of magic power here should have been cut off, right? Why does this domain still exist?"
Aker hugged Venus, already a little out of breath. Although Venus's weight was so light that it would not be a burden to Aker at all, his physical strength dropped rapidly due to the influence of the icy climate.
"It seems that Miss Venus's magic power is too strong. Even if there is no magic power supply, the overflowing magic power when she is in the coma is enough to support the "domain". But alas... now I don't feel the cold anymore, and I feel warm all over after exercising."
"Who cares about how you feel at the moment! Soon you will become an icy corpse buried under the snow! I mean you……"
However, Gurley's expression suddenly became serious.
"Oh no, I forgot about a very important thing..." He said solemnly, "Miss Venus must be awakened immediately. Her magic power began to overflow outside the ‘domain’, if we don't stop it, the church will know our position immediately. "
"Isn't this something that you should have thought of from the beginning! Why did you just remember it now..."
Although Aker only knew how serious the matter was, he knew that the top priority now was to wake up Venus who had fallen into a coma.
The white-haired girl in his arms twisted her body suddenly uncomfortably, and then slowly opened her eyes.
"Great! You finally woke up..."
As soon as Venus opened her eyes, she met Aker's gaze.
"Waah..."
Her cheeks slowly turned red, then she closed her eyes tightly and struggled in Aker's arms.
"Hey! Stop moving! Hey!"
But Venus who was in panic couldn't hear Aker.
"I said stop moving! Ah! It's very dangerous!"
She accidentally covered Aker's eyes with her little hand, and Aker's running steps were suddenly messed up.
The ice field was not suitable for running, nor was it suitable for running while hugging a girl.
"Let go of me, let go of me!"
Venus kept pounding Aker's chest in protest, although it didn't hurt at all.
"What are you doing?! If you want to play with each other, you can get a room after we survive. Hurry up and close the ‘domain’!"
Gurley reminded Venus loudly, but things would not go as he wanted.
Aker felt that it was becoming more and more difficult to control the balance of his body, and Venus in his arms was still struggling in defiance. His center of gravity shifted and he accidentally slipped on the ice.
A soft and warm touch came from under him, and the same touch came from his lips.
Aker opened her eyes cautiously, and Venus's red face was just before his eyes.
From the pure white hair scattered on the ice field, the fragrance that did not belong to this ice field exuded, and Aker's lips were pressed against Venus's hot cheeks.
Venus just opened her watery eyes blankly, and her body and thinking became stiff at the same time.
The two of them kept this posture and stopped.
Gurley also stopped running, staring blankly.
But the white torrent behind them didn't stop, and it overwhelmingly pressed towards the three of them...
…………
The clear ice field canopy shattered like glass, snowflakes, cold wind, snow peaks, ice fields...all things disappeared in an instant.
The cold ground turned back to a slightly warm wooden floor, and the bright sky turned back to a ceiling decorated with lights.
The two voices that Aker did not want to hear the most sounded above his head at this time.
"I heard that Elder Brother is learning how to fight. I was originally very worried, but It seems that I don't need to worry about it at all..."
Loulou's sad murmur stimulated Aker's eardrums.
At the same time, something sharp hit Aker's back.
"I thought you were really thinking about me. So you have this kind of relationship with the church? Now that both of you seem to be satisfied, then I will help you and send you to hell together, no need to thank me. "
Without even thinking about it, Aker knew what was pointed against his back now. He instantly broke out in a cold sweat.
Part 11
"Let me stand up first okay? I can explain it."
Aker could only quietly beg the two people who were looking down at me who were on top of Venus.
"Oh? You all hug each other tightly, what else is there to explain?"
"This is a misunderstanding! It was an accident!"
"Accident?"
"That idiot uncle asked me to attack the snow mountain, and the explosion caused an avalanche! I slipped and fell while holding Venus while escaping, and then it became like this!"
"What? Couldn't you just ask her to close the domain?! If you obediently admit your mistake, then I might've let you go, but you even come up with such a silly excuse, you'd better die while hugging her!"
The strength against Aker's back was increased again, and the blade seemed to have penetrated the trench coat with little defense.
"In short, there are various reasons! It's just an accident. Don't just watch on the side, Uncle Gurley, at least say a few words!"
"Then I will prove that what he said is true."
Gurley raised his hands and nodded to Lynn, but Lynn just squinted her eyes suspiciously and glanced between them.
Then the life-threatening weapon on the back of Aker disappeared. Aker moved away from Venus who had already been shocked silly, held her up, and put her on the chair.
"I'm sorry, did I scare you, are you okay?"
Aker put his hands together in front of Venus and apologized sincerely, but Venus still remained in a stunned expression.
"Could it be that she was scared silly? After all, she was hugged by a disgusting guy like you." Lynn glanced at Venus, and pointed the golden long sword at Venus, "Hey you, if you want to waste any more time, I will hack you!"
Venus's eyes finally recovered slowly under Lynn's murderous aura. But then, crystal tears overflowed from her eyes.
Venus, who kept pressing her lips and holding back her cry, finally couldn't help crying amidst the crowd.
"Lynn, stop scaring her!"
Aker quickly pushed Lynn's long sword aside, and turned to comfort Venus who was crying loudly.
Looking at the two of them, Lynn snorted in dissatisfaction, put away her long sword, and turned back to the second floor.
…………
By the time Venus stopped her tears, it was already noon.
Nia was preparing to cook lunch for everyone, and Loulou volunteered to go to the kitchen with Nia.
Aker knew that cooking was Loulou's specialty... No, it could only be called an interest, and it had reached a professional level of "interest".
But it made Aker wonder how Nia's cooking skill was.
Gurley swirled the wine glass in his hand. But his gaze was now on Venus's body.
Venus was taken aback when she noticed Gurley's sight, and immediately lowered her head in embarrassment.
"It's rude to keep staring at a girl. Uncle Gurley, don't tell me that you want to use your trick on such a small girl."
In Aker's impression, Gurley was probably the "Playboy" that everyone talked about. What was hateful was that he was indeed qualified to have this title.
Although he knew that Gurley should be regarded as an adult with common sense, Venus was entrusted to him by Tara, so as Venus's temporary guardian, it was necessary to remind him.
"Ahem... I'm sorry, as soon as I saw the beautiful young lady, I naturally started to think about how to strike up a conversation."
"I mean you..."
"I was thinking just now, it took only two or three days for Miss Venus to escape from the church to this border town. How did she do it? Even if it’s teleportation magic, without the support of magic equipment or magic gear, even if the speed of magic recovery can keep up, it will take more than a week to recover."
"Among the domain magic, there are those that can create space rifts..."
"Now it makes sense." Gurley showed excitement when he heard the word "space rifts", "I don't know much about domain magic, but just manipulating the space rifts is already powerful enough, however, you can master it at such a young age."
"What are you two talking about, can you explain it to me?"
Aker looked helplessly at Gurley and Venus who were having a fun chat. Since leaving the closed village, there were countless nouns that he had never heard of, so Aker was not surprised anymore.
Venus gestured on the bar counter with her fingers.
"If this is the church and this is the small town, then I will use the space of the same plane as the medium, and then determine the coordinates of the place I want to go, then I can reach the place I want to go in a space without the concept of distance... But it’s difficult to get everywhere. It’s difficult to locate a coordinate, so I can only go to the place I know first... The first time I arrived was in the Waren Mountains because this mountain is very famous on the border of the empire. And it is also the place I now..."
"You used such large-scale magic twice in a few days. Miss Venus must be very tired." Gurley stroked Venus's head. "But with this scale of space magic, your position must have been located by the church already, right?
"Well, it should be..." Venus stared at the swaying feet under the table, and there was a slight tremor in her voice. "When I was hesitant to enter this town, that big sister who took me in found me, asked my name very gently, and took me to her house to give me something to eat..." Venus raised her head and stared at two people with watery eyes, "Excuse me... will my stay here cause everyone trouble..."
Aker didn't know how to answer for a while.
The enemy was the elite knights of the church and unscrupulous bounty hunters. Even if he could skillfully use Pupils of Blazing Flames, as Gurley said, he was still a layman in combat.
The enemy was human, unlike beasts with only sharp claws and simple magic. In the previous battle, he already had a hard time dealing with a pack of fire wolves. So how was he going to respond to Venus's question?
At this time, his leg under the table was kicked hard by something. Aker raised his head, just in time to meet Gurley's gaze next to him.
Although he didn't say anything or hint at Aker with his eyes, Aker knew what Gurley wanted to tell himself now.
"There is no trouble. You don't need to worry about anything when you stay with me." At least, Aker did not show his unconfident heart in front of Venus, "No matter who the enemy is, I will never let them hurt you!"
Venus's frustrated face lit up, and the smile at the corner of her mouth was genuine.
Gurley, attracted by such a warm smile, approached Venus with a look of intoxication. The heavy iron spoon flew out of the kitchen at the time and hit Gurley's face. Then Nia's voice came out of the kitchen.
"Stay away from the child, you damn pervert! Don't harass such a small child! "
Part 12
In the afternoon, Nia dragged them to clean up the warehouse. They cleaned it all the way until night. After a few people had dinner together before the pub opened, Aker decided to make up his mind.
"Sister Nia, then we are leaving now."
It was his current goal that everyone could live happily.
Although he was still a child who couldn't do anything, as long as he put in the effort, he would definitely become stronger.
When Aker suggested that everyone go out together, Lynn once refused because of her conspicuous hair color. But Aker didn't know what Gurley had said to her quietly, he actually "easily" made her agree with a blushing face.
Then the three girls put on high-end Kimonos carefully prepared by Nia in the room. Aker originally wanted them to change into the clothes they usually wear before going out, but because Nia reminded them that there was a celebration in town tonight, and Kimonos just happened to be the right clothes for this occasion, so they didn't change clothes in the end.
Aker previously heard Gurley say that when girls wore a Kimono, they didn't wear any underwear. But since it came from him, the credibility should be very low... but he just couldn't help himself but think about it... think about it...
…………
Leaving the pub, a refreshing evening breeze blew towards them.
"The wind outside is so comfortable."
Lynn had her long golden hair arranged in an updo hairstyle before leaving the house, and the golden hair strands hanging down near her ears on both sides were moving in the air.
Loulou and Venus didn't tie their long hair, they could only hold down the long hair that was flying in the evening breeze with their hands.
Although there was no obvious expression, Aker could clearly feel that they were clearly relaxed.
——Sure enough, they must have been tired of staying in the room for too long.
Seeing that the three of them were all enthusiastic about going out, Aker felt much relieved.
"But is it really okay to come out like this, Elder brother?"
"It's okay, I will always be by your side."
Aker knew what Loulou was worried about, and now he could only stroked her head to comfort her.
Immediately, the corner of his clothes was pulled by someone. As he turned around, he saw Venus was looking up at him with some kind of expectant eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"I want...that too..." Venus's eyes floated towards Loulou, and she lowered her head embarrassedly and asked in a low voice, "Can't I..."
Aker knew what Venus wanted. He gently put his hand on Venus's long snow-like hair, and stroked her little head. Venus shrank her neck as if enjoying it.
It felt like high-grade silk. Why did girls’ hair feel so comfortable to the touch? Aker was thinking about this question at this time.
Lynn on the side seemed to watch Aker and the two of them indifferently, but when Aker turned his head to look at her, she suddenly looked away.
Actions that were too obvious couldn't cover up one's true feelings at all. It seemed a bit inappropriate not to include her.
"Uh... do you..."
"No need!"
The answer that Aker got was only Lynn's back. Probably she didn't want to enjoy the same treatment Venus received.
When could Lynn let go of loathing in her heart and truly accept Venus?
Aker couldn't find the answer now. Perhaps even Lynn also didn't know it.
…………
The closer they got to the market area, the more lively the atmosphere was, and they could feel the crowded atmosphere before entering the market area.
Different from the day market, the night market was more lively under the catalysis of the festival.
"So many people... clearly, it is just a small town." Lynn's remark seemed to be a little disrespectful, "Hey, why did you hit me?"
"First, sincerely apologize to the residents of this town, and then hold each other's hand so that you don’t get lost." Aker knocked on Lynn's head, and then gave instructions to everyone, "It's very difficult to find people if you get lost here."
Aker and Lynn were no longer at the ages that would get lost without holding hands. But Aker just wanted to find a chance for Lynn and Venus to interact with each other.
Loulou came to Aker's left side and naturally hugged his arm. But neither Venus nor Lynn moved, they just stood still.
"We are going in soon, you have promised me that you will get along with each other!"
"...Hmph, just this time only!"
Lynn grabbed Venus' left hand roughly, while her right hand gently held Aker's hand.
The moment her fingertips touched Aker's, Lynn's whole body seemed to tremble slightly, but Aker didn't notice it.
Lynn glanced at Venus as if she was about to say something, but when she was glared at by Lynn, she gave up in tears.
In fact, Lynn's seemingly rough movements didn't cause any pain to Venus. It was just that this attitude made her sad.
"All right, let's go."
"Mhm!"
Only Loulou nodded in response to Aker and somewhat eased the awkward atmosphere between the four.
Aker ignored these unnatural places, and walked towards the brightly lit market calmly.
