Volume 3 Five years, the sect competition
Chapter 1 Admissions Assembly
Part One
On the day of the Shang Qing Sect recruiting new disciples, which happened once every nine years, the gate of the Shang Qing Sect was crowded by the people who came to Shang Qing Sect because of its fame. It was so crowded that if someone threw a brick from a distance it might knock out tons of people.
In order to avoid the occurrence of a stampede caused by overcrowding, the area outside the Shang Qing Sect's mountain gate was developed into a vast clearing in a short period of time.
There were no flowers and plants, not to mention celestial birds and spiritual beasts.
This kind of development would indeed make the famous sect like Shang Qing Sect lose face. After all, it didn’t look like a place outside of the immortal sect when it was just barren land, but this was also to prevent the future disciple from being injured before entering the sect. Otherwise, the compensation alone would make Shang Qing Sect bleed.
You must have already guessed who was the one that came up with such a stupid idea. That's right, it was Xing Yun.
But strictly speaking, Xing Yun believed that he should not carry this blame alone.
Because the person carrying out this work was Yun Xia.
This fairy felt that it was too troublesome to transform such a large area of mountain forest with magic, and it was easy to miss the day of Shang Qing Sect recruiting disciples, so she directly stole The Cauldron Of Delicate Elegance, one of the most precious treasures of the sect, and used it to level the area outside the sect gate.
Her way of leveling the ground was not the same as ordinary people. She just rolled the cauldron around.
The huge treasure tripod cauldron crushed everything into the mess like a road roller.
After rolling repeatedly for a few hours, the treasure tripod caldron turned the original immortal land into a flat area.
Using one of the most precious treasures of the sect as a road roller, looking at the entire cultivation world, probably only she would do that, right?
Of course, this behavior naturally resulted in a strong protest from her fifth senior brother, and this protest also allowed the old man and Yun Dan to re-experience the sharpness of Yun Xia's treasured kitchen knife on her waist.
Yun Dan was hacked because he was shot innocently implicated, and he was still protesting.
"Shut your mouth!" Staring fiercely at Yun Dan, the hooligan fairy slapped her palm on the kitchen knife. If he dared to open his mouth, she would immediately hack him once more, "Stop being so petty-minded, I just chop you a few times, who asked you to stay so close at that time."
"You called that a few times? My torn robe can even be made into a mop now."
"Martial Uncle, don't worry, it won't go to waste," Xing Yun next to him smiled and pointed to the direction of the mountain. "Senior Sister Xing Ya has picked up all the fragments of your broken robe."
"Is she going to sew it back?" Yun Xia asked, tilting her head.
"How come, Senior Sister said that she would use those fragments to make a pair of underwear for Martial Uncle."
As soon as Xing Yun said this, Yun Dan suddenly turned and left.
Probably he wanted to stop Xing Ya from doing this kind of silly thing.
After adjusting his brand new outfit, Xing Yun stepped onto the flying sword and flew towards the mountain gate. Leng Yueyao and Jian Xing had already gone to the admissions place. As a senior, there was nothing wrong with him arriving at the gate late.
Well, in fact, he overslept. If it weren't for Yun Xia who sent him, he probably wouldn't even be able to reach the gate of the mountain from the back mountain at night...
Unlike the grand scenes of other sects that were so grand to show their strength, but the farts were useless, when the hour came, the gate of the mountain slowly opened with the colorful light.
The awakening fairy music echoed within the mountain gate, vaguely, those who were seeking an opportunity to become a cultivator could see the beautiful figures of fairies dancing gracefully in the hazy mist.
And, the disciples who squatted in the corner secretly playing with musical instruments.
Those disciples rolled their dead fish eyes that were filled with bitterness and annoyance while playing the musical instruments in their hands. Beside them, a disciple in fluttering long clothes was dancing with a long sword.
——At first glance, it looked like he was performing a sword dance, but in fact, this idiot was probably so bored that he had nothing to do but perform a sword dance.
Of course, his main duty was to supervise the band. He would report to Xing Yun who didn't play the tune well, and then Xing Yun would beat them up.
Stepping into the misty cloud illusion, even if people were walking together a second ago, at this time, one would discover that they were walking alone in the misty cloud world.
Without the noise of the mortal world, there was only desolation and silence, some even lost their sense of direction in here.
However, at the moment when the people who stepped into the fog had negative feelings in their hearts, the thick fog in front of them suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a noisy road.
The waves of spiritual energy were refreshing, and the stalls on both sides of the road were noisier than that of the mortal world.
"Come and take a look! Come and take a look! We teach sword flying! You will be able to take the enemy's underwear a thousand miles away and reach the edge of the world in no time! Come join our Sword Peak!"
"Come join us! Our Fairy Maiden Peak doesn't have anything but endless beautiful ladies! Join us, you will be able to experience true heavenly bliss!"
“……”
"Elixir, magical pills, life-renewing medicine, Heavenly panacea, life-saving remedy! We cook all kinds of drugs! Even if you don't want to join our Divine Farmer Peak, you can buy some drugs as a souvenir!"
"Hey! You guys, longing for power? Our Refining Peak... Your Star Picking Peak bastards! Stop stealing from us!"
"Our peak... Screw it! Misty Peak is recruiting people. We urgently need fresh blood!"
……
If it weren't for the words "Shang Qing Sect Spiritual Avenue" floating above, no one would believe that they were from a big cultivation sect.
This was simply a vegetable market!
The peaks of the Shang Qing Sect all set up admission booths on Spiritual Avenue. Some speaks that had more disciples even occupied several booths.
Yes, those people were the shameless Fairy Maiden Peak and Sword Peak.
Although there were many booths from these two peaks, the other peaks also weren't weak.
More and more candidates began to appear from the mist, and the shouting voices became more and more vigorous. It was so loud that it was like someone setting up firecrackers on the spiritual avenue...
And then, the disciples from the Misty Peak and the Sword Peak started to fight each other again.
"Hey, hey, if you want to fight, do it far away from our booths, and don't disrupt our sisters' business."
A female Fairy Maiden Peak disciple who was affected by the fight yelled angrily. Seeing that she was ignored by those people, she slammed the table in anger.
The long table made of jade was instantly broken into pieces.
"Did you not hear me! ？ You piece of shit!"
After saying that, she picked up a brick on the ground and rushed over. Although she didn't infuse True Vital Energy into the brick, she still beat other disciples into running everywhere while screaming in pain.
Simply put, she beat the shit out of them.
The few little girls who originally wanted to ask if they were qualified to enter the Fairy Maiden Peak were so scared that they wanted to leave on the spot.
But where did they think Fairy Maiden Peak was? It was the wolf's den that even Xing Yun couldn't escape.
The female disciples who were going to test those girls quickly stopped those little girls, looked at them with a creepy smile, and said,
"Where do you think you are going..."
Part 2
The Formless Peak’s disciples appeared to be emotionless on the surface due to the problem of their cultivation method. To put it nicely, they looked elegant and cold. This has caused many people to be reluctant to approach them actively. Overtime, the disciples of the formless peak also stopped taking the initiative to talk to other people.
Even if some of them really wanted to take the initiative to talk to other people, most of them would have this kind of thought in their hearts.
"Ah... so troublesome... forget it..." or "Should I take the initiative to talk to that person? Would that person think that I am too cold and not good at communicating... Eh? He just ignored me..."
There were many similar cases, and there was no need to mention them one by one. Many disciples of the formless peak didn't know which word could be used to describe them the best
To describe it in more modern terms, it could be called cold outside and passionate inside.
Or Tsundere.
Due to this relatively special situation, it was difficult for Formless Peak to recruit new students every time. Even if it was able to recruit some, it was because other people took the initiative to join them.
In the recent ten admissions, the formless peak only met three people who actively wanted to join them, and two of which were not suitable for the Formless Peak's cultivation method.
The only qualified person was sitting in the enrollment booth at this time, wondering when the little martial granduncle could come to the rescue as the senior sister said.
Looking at the disciple of the Formless Peak from a distance, Xing Yun himself was also quite worried now.
What he had emphasized to Jian Xing and Leng Yueyao was that he would not help the two mountain peaks excessively. This would incur dissatisfaction from the other mountain peaks. However, after he promised, he still hasn't figured out how to do it yet.
It was slightly easier to help the Sword Peak, after all, they had cool and awesome skills. By showing some of the skills, it would easily attract many potential disciples, but the Formless Peak...
Xing Yun really couldn't think of anything that she could praise about this mountain peak.
Rubbing his face vigorously, and glancing at the few idiots who were still being beaten, Xing Yun snapped his fingers.
"Yueyao."
"Here."
Xing Yun squatted in the bush and pointed to the area where the fight was not far away, "You can defeat that idiot who is beating up other people, right?"
Leng Yueyao nodded. No one was stupid. She could naturally think of what kind of trouble it would cause if she suppressed Wang Wuling, who had finally put on a normal dress.
"I can defeat her, but..."
"It's okay. When you fly down from the sky later, you can transmit your voice secret to her. Tell her that I ask her to cooperate with you to act a scene. If she has any dissatisfaction, ask her to come to me."
"Qiaoer understands."
After that, Leng Yueyao suddenly disappeared beside Xing Yun.
In the next second, she and Wuling pretended to fight each other back and forth.
The girl who was obsessed with sword racing did not deliberately go easy on Leng Yueyao even if she heard that it was Xing Yun's instruction. Maybe she didn't believe that Leng Yueyao would really get Xing Yun's instruction, or she didn't want to lose the face of Fairy Maiden Peak.
And Leng Yueyao did her best to follow Xing Yun's instructions to fully display all of the Formless Peak skills.
For a while, the fight between the two of them was like a pleasing action movie.
"Yes! Don't be embarrassed, grab her breasts!"
"Haiya, grab your butt at this time!"
"Lift up her skirt!"
……
If it wasn't for Leng Yueyao's good temper, she would have blocked Xing Yun's voice transmission at that time just because of this noise.
This little martial granduncle was seriously polluted by the supreme elder Yun Xia.
After Leng Yueyao took advantage of Wang Wuling with those seemingly moves, the effect achieved was very significant. It could even be described as scary. After learning that the person who fought against the fairy in red belonged to the Formless Peak, many People immediately rushed to the admissions booth of the Formless Peak.
This startled the disciple of the formless peak who was about to doze off.
With tears in his eyes, he greeted those who wanted to join the Formless Peak, while thanking his senior sister in his heart.
"Why, don't you thank me? It was my idea, you know?"
All of sudden, a familiar voice sounded in his ear.
Following the voice, Xing Yun was looking at him with a weird smile behind him.
"Little, little, martial granduncle..."
"Now, now, don't be scared," waving his hand indifferently, Xing Yun began to help him maintain order. "You guys, please line up. Everyone will have a chance in the qualification test. We won't miss any disciple with potential."
Such mature words were uttered in a slightly immature voice by the little girl who was only about 1.4 meters tall. It was inevitable that people would feel strange.
However, Xing Yun didn't bother to care about feelings at all. Jian Xing in the distance had begun to jealously bite her Taoist robe and stared at him with pitiful eyes. He had to finish the things here and get to her side to help her.
"What's your name?"
"Ji Chang, little martial granduncle."
This name stunned Xing Yun.
"What!
As in a flat chest in Chinese?" (Ji Chang is the homophone of the flat chest in China.)
"Cough! Little Martial Granduncle, it's not that."
Carefully glanced at Ji Chang's name tag, and after seeing the slightly unfamiliar word, Xing Yun nodded clearly.
"Oh, Yongri(Yongri is the homonym of Chang. And Yongri means Forever Fuck ), later, please sort out the disciples who are not suitable for the Formless Peak."
"Yongri..." the disciple named Ji Chang almost coughed out a mouthful of blood, "Little Martial granduncle, what do you mean?"
"There is no need to add little to my title." He stomped Ji Chang's foot and said, Then he turned his face and smiled at the disciples who had not yet recovered from the shock and said, "if they are not suitable for the formless peak, they might be suitable for other peaks. After all, they are all talented candidates."
Who didn't like to be praised. Especially these people who wanted to enter a cultivation sect.
They had yet to really understand how high the status of martial granduncle was, but since the cultivator before them was so respectful to her, then this fairy who looked like a little girl was naturally an important figure in the sect.
Being praised by the important person in the sect, whether it was because she was just simply trying to be police, or there were other reasons, after hearing such praises, those candidates gradually had good feelings about the Shang Qing Sect, or it should be said that they gradually had a good impression about Xing Yun.
"I will take those who are not suitable for the formless peak to other admissions booths."
"This is just a trivial thing, there is no need to trouble martial granduncle..."
"I have decided, now do what you should do."
Part 3
Jian Xing's inability to hold back her anxiety had long been seen by Xing Yun, but after all, she was one of the people who went to his place to cause trouble to him, so if she wanted to help him to help her, naturally she had to pay some price like Leng Yueyao.
For people who were so thick-skinned that they could just dispose of their faces at will, the usual remediation methods would definitely not work, and Xing Yun was also worried about this problem.
However, Jiang Xian's initiative to approach made Xing Yun suddenly think of how to deal with her.
Taking a deep breath, Xing Yun asked loudly to the long queue in front of the Formless Peak booth.
"Do any of you know why we practice 'sword cultivation'?"
To those people in the long queue, hearing a high-ranking cultivator asking this kind of question at this time, naturally, they would think that this was some kind of test.
If they answered this question well, not only would they leave a good impression on this high-ranking cultivator, but there was also a chance that they might be able to find favor in this high-ranking cultivator's eyes, and then obtain the rare opportunity of becoming a cultivator.
To translate it in a much simpler term, this expert would just accept them as a disciple.
This kind of thing was not impossible, on the contrary, the probability of occurrence was quite high. Take Shang Qing Sect as an example, about 30% of the disciples were selected into the inner sect like this.
The remaining 20% were recommended by wealthy families or the current royal court.
As for the remaining 50%- basically, they were all taken back from outside by the core disciples and the mountain leaders.
Yes, they took the initiative to take them back. There was no such thing as a fortuitous encounter.
If people from other sects also wanted to recruit the people they wanted to bring back to the sect, they would use force to take them back. If they met someone who didn't want to go with them, they would use deception or force, no matter what, they had to bring them back to the sect.
Anyway, Wuling's sword racing clan was brought back by Yun Xia this way.
Of course, based on Wuling's intelligence... Xing Yun felt like there was no need to use force, she would be easily fooled by other people...
Anyway.
In short, no matter how strange Shang Qing Sect was, it was inevitable that they would also have this kind of examination section to identify good disciples.
After hearing Xing Yun's question, the people queueing before the booth fell in silent contemplation.
"Flying above the cloud and taking enemies' heads from thousands of miles away!"
"Elegant, unrestrained, one person, one sword, traveling the world alone."
"Flawless and unsullied, it is the most graceful weapon in the world!"
"The great heavenly path is the sword, and the sword is the way... right?"
……
In the beginning, there were only a few people talking. Seeing that everyone else was speaking and the high-ranking cultivator listened carefully without any impatience, the number of people expressing their ideas gradually increased.
As the number of people talking increased, it became so noisy that it was like a duck farm.
Ji Chang was doing preliminary tests with black lines all over his head. Due to the gap between status, he dared not say something, but Jian Xing was different. Even if it was facing Yun Xia and other Supreme Elders, if there was a chance that she would court death, she would do it without any hesitation.
"Little Martial Granduncle? What are you doing..."
Jian Xing didn't deliberately lower her voice. At the same time, Leng YueYao, who was fighting with Wuling also stopped with her brows twitching from time to time.
"This is different from what we..."
"Haiya! You even dare to be dissected during a fight! Get over here, you!"
With a pull of the silk, Leng Yueyao was immediately wrapped in Wuling's treasure silk.
After moving her arms twice, a mace riveted with nails suddenly appeared on her hand.
"You had fun taken advantage of me, now it is time to pay back!"
Even the mortals have long heard of the manly fairy of Fairy Maiden Peak, but seeing was believing. Even if they were not selected by the Shang Qing sect this time, after personally seeing how manly the fairies in the Shang Qing Sect were, this trip was also worth it.
——Hey, have you ever seen the battle of the Fairies of the Fairy Maiden Peak in Shang Qing Sect? I've seen it! When they attacked, the ground would shake like earthquakes, and the huge ass mace they used would cause a huge wind everything it was waved.
People would definitely talk like this in the future.
Seeing that Wuling was dealing with Leng YueYao, Xing Yun was no longer worried.
After confirming the young man who had just said something about elegance, he immediately pointed at the booth of the Misty Peak.
The sharp sword ring sounded, and the long sword that appeared behind him turned into a stream of light and went straight to the Misty Peak's booth.
Li Changge, the core disciple of the Misty Peak who was greeting people, immediately poured out the True Vital Energy to catch the sword. Although it looked dangerous, he didn't panic. His reaction perfectly represented Misty Peak's policy, which was no matter what their hairstyles must not be messy.
"Hey- ChangGe- here! Here!"
Seeing several long swords like a sword formation floating behind Xing Yun, even a fool would also know that this sword came from Xing Yun.
After adjusting his emotions and holding the sword, he came to the Formless Peak's booth. Just when he wanted to speak, Xing Yun said before him.
"Wow, ChangGe deserves to be the core disciple of Misty Peak." In the beginning, he left the impression of a naughty and playful little girl on Li ChangGe. So he stuck his tongue out and smiled, "Are you angry? You wouldn't be angry, right? My hand just slipped."
How the hell can I get angry after seeing this!
Glancing at the buzzing floating sword formation, Li Changge roared in his heart.
"Here, here is a disciple who at least conceptually suits your Misty Peak, you can take him away."
Xing Yun pointed to the person who said elegant.
"Hmph, I know that I helped the Formless Peak just now and you will definitely think I am not fair."
"Which immortal peak the Little Martial Granduncle is willing to help is their blessing, ChangGe wouldn't dare to complain." Li ChangGe was still so gentle and elegant, "but since it is the person Little Martial Granduncle recommended, then on behalf of Misty Peak, ChangGe thanks Little Martial Granduncle."
"This fellow Taoist, please come with me." After Li ChangGe returned the long sword, he led the man to the booth of Misty Peak.
Seeing him left quickly, Xing Yun breathed a sigh of relief in his heart.
Ah... It is so tiring to pretend to be a child.
Pretending to be a little girl who is wayward and mischievous, yet unreasonable but knows the whole thing, is even more tiring...
I really want to go back to rest...
"Okay, who else wants to go to see other peaks? If you are suitable for the Formless Peak, please go there and wait for me."
Previously, the elder suddenly looked like little girls, which made many people's minds a little bit confused for a while, and now she had returned to her original appearance, making everyone more curious about Xing Yun's nature.
How were these contradictory personalities combined together, and what was the true nature of this elder.
A few people who reacted quickly asked,
"Senior Fairy, may we know which peak you are practicing under?"
Xing Yun naturally knew what this person was thinking. He pointed at the floating swords behind him and said,
"What do you think?"
