Although the contest between Xing Yun and Xing Ya was the first game of the entire Grand Tournament, it also became a part of the viewing session in the opening ceremony of the Grand Tournament. To put it bluntly, it was a performance game. Anyway, no one would complain about the arrangement of this pleasing martial arts show. Even if some people did, under the care of those inspection disciples with red armbands on their arms, they had no choice but to say, "It's so beautiful!"
What else could they do?
Few people were willing to have their merit points deducted by the sect because of this.
In short, the match between the two really aroused the excitement of most of the contestants and the audience.
The intensity and excitement of the atmosphere were exactly what Xing He wanted to see. He couldn't help but secretly praise his own wisdom of this temporary arrangement in his heart, and then began to introduce the judges behind him in two simple sentences.
"The elders and peak leaders will be judges of this Grand Tournament. They will make reasonable evaluations for all the disciples. It is related to future benefits you will receive in the sect, so I hope that all the disciples try their best in this Grand Tournament."
The Grand Tournament of all the cultivation sects was to identify and select good disciples, and the Shang Qing Sect was no exception.
The distributed standard Cloud Mirror would show the real-time live broadcast of those elders doing simple self-introduction. But Xing Yun didn't know how to switch it on. Playing with the Cloud Mirror that had been temporarily given to him, a faint doubt that Xing Yun first had when he entered the sect emerged in his heart again.
'What kind of cultivation sect is this Shang Qing Sect?'
Why did they have so many treasure tools that were so similar to the tools of modern society?
"Junior sister? You don't know how to use Cloud Mirror?
"……what! Oh, right, how do I switch this thing on?"
Seeing that Xing Yun almost wanted to bite the Cloud Mirror, she quickly snatched it from him. She rolled her eyes and then said.
"Infused your True Vital Energy into it, then you will be able to see the image." Moving hers to the middle, so Xing Yun could see it as well, Xing Ya sighed and said, "forget it, I will share mine with you. I really don't know what I should say to you, this thing is very bitter, I don't know why you even want to bite it."
Xing Yun, "...."
Xing Yun was speechless, if she hadn't bitten it before, how did she know that this thing had a bitter taste. But to Xing Yun, he actually found the taste was quite alright. It actually tasted like coffee.
Anyway, after Xing Ya said it, the image displayed by the Cloud Mirror became bigger, and it was enough for two people to watch at the same time.
At this time the screen was still displaying the elders and peak leaders introducing themselves. Unlike Supreme Elders, the peak leaders of the Shang Qing Sect gave Xing Yun a feeling that they came from normal Xianxia worlds.
After taking back his Cloud Mirror, Xing Yun fiddled with it for a while. And when he finally figured out how it worked, his lips curved into a mischievous smile.
After tapping on the Cloud Mirror a few times, he placed it on the bench, and he himself ran several meters away from the mirror. Until it was enough for the mirror to capture his full figure, he took a deep breath.
When the countdown projection on the screen returned to zero, Xing Yun turned around while holding her skirt.
"Everyone, please remember to support me."
When posing, he also deliberately created a colorful background with magic. He even used True Vital Energy to make pink cartoon hearts that float out from the corners of his eyes whenever he winked.
Seeing this scene, Xing Ya, who was familiar with the nature of the Xing Yun, couldn't help but cover her face in frustration.
(illustration here)
Xing Yun was still very considerate. The live broadcast image created by him only occupied a small corner of Cloud Mirror, and his live broadcast ended immediately after speaking.
No matter what, what he was doing was very disrespectful. All the elders were giving speeches in the live broadcast, but he suddenly jumped in and made cute postures. How did he want those peak leaders to react?
So at that time, several strict peak leaders' faces instantly dropped; there were veins bulging on their foreheads.
One of them almost wanted to leave the opening ceremony and came down the cloud to spank Xing Yun's butt.
Fortunately, cameraman Yun Yun noticed in time. She quickly panned the camera to other places to avoid capturing the images of those peak leaders jumping up and down in anger.
However, what she was doing was meaningless.
Driven by the fanatical reactions of some of the disciples who were almost becoming Xing Yun's fans, many disciples that were really overwhelmed by Xing Yun's cuteness either booed or cheered together. Even though this chaotic disturbance was quickly suppressed by the disciples who maintained order, such mischief was enough to make many short-tempered peak leaders furious.
"She needs to stop making mischief!"
Some peak leaders and Xing He knew Xing Yun relatively well, so they were in a state of wanting to laugh but maintaining a serious image, and even pretending to be angry as well.
For them, it was even worse than suffering from Qi Deviation.
Similarly, those Supreme Elders were also confused when they encountered this situation. Everyone knew that Xing Yun would occasionally make mischief, but no one expected that Xing Yun would suddenly make mischief at such a serious time.
In the end, Sage Yun Qing, who was Xing Yun master, took the initiative to resolve the embarrassing and strange silence on the platform.
"This bratty girl...."
"Uh... Senior Brother... I..."
"Old Seven, no need to say anything," Sage Yun Qing raised his hand to stop the female hooligan, "this is a good opportunity. We can teach her a lesson, and she can also gain experience."
"No, I meant to say..."
"Oh..." After deliberately dragging his voice, Sage Yun Qing patted his forehead, "no wonder if I find it very familiar, Old Seven has done the same thing in the past. Yes. Come to think of it. Back then, she was holding a long sword in hand, standing on the platform and shouting, ‘Who else! ? ’, hahahahaha. "
Yun Xia covered her face and squatted down immediately.
"That's why I want to tell you not to mention those things..."
"She also..."
"You old tortoise egg! Number Two! Number Two! Give me back my knife! I want to kill this old tortoise egg!"
When everyone was having a different reaction, Xing Yun was pulled back by Xing Ya and came to the players' rest area.
At this time, there was no one in the player's rest area, but Xing Ya put down the soundproofing field before speaking.
"Junior! Sister! Do you not know that..."
"I know, I know. But people always need some motivation and adjustments. Haven't you seen many disciples become nervous because of the atmosphere of the Grand Tournament? A little ease of emotion can also benefit their personal performance."
Xing Yun was concerned about the state of the other disciples, while Xing Ya was concerned about Xing Yun.
PInching his face, Xing Ya said in an angry tone.
"Why are you creating trouble for yourself! Didn't you see that those peak leaders were so angry with you!"
"It's fine, don't worry that much." Xing Yun shrugged indifferently.
Chapter 4 Competition, Start! part 5
Due to Yun Xia's state, the session in which the supreme elders would come out to flex their demeanor of a celestial being was canceled. Anyway, it didn't affect the grand tournament much.
Perhaps it was for the strange rewards, or maybe it was to test the success of the practice over the years, or it was more likely to take this opportunity to seek revenge, the number of people who signed up for the Grand Tournament at the gate could almost be described as the stars in the sky.
In order to avoid congestion, and encourage more disciples to participate in the Grand Tournament, all the fighting platforms on the Battle Peak were open to all the disciples simultaneously.
The initial elimination matches were arranged on the thirty-three fighting stage at the lowest level. When the people entered the stadium and the Grand Tournament officially started, the grandstand outside Battle Peak, like a star ring, also adjusted its height, and rotated at a certain rate.
Not only the grandstand, but the thirty-three small worlds used for competitions also moved slowly according to certain rules.
From a distance, the interlaced movements were quite magnificent, and the mysterious aura that slowly emerged under the action of the formation was even more mysterious than the "tree ring" structure. It was as if it was enveloped in a veil of mystery that was elusive and could not be easily seen through.
A large number of workers were flying through under this veil, and the streamer reflected by their flying weapons seemed like the gleaming stars.
As the winner of the first match, Xing Yun was enjoying the comfort of waiting for the opponent in the air. Xing Ya beside him was just like a caring young wife explaining who he might encounter, and the characteristics of the opponent, as well as predicting his future match trends. It was so detailed as if Xing Ya had been stalking them to investigate them for a long time.
For this, Xing Yun was very grateful, but if Xing Ya could stop digressing, or stop changing from explaining one opponent to explaining another opponent all of sudden, he believed that he would thank her even more.
Anyway.
When the person Xing Ya was explaining changed to another person, a few golden characters suddenly appeared not far above Xing Yun's head.
"The seventh player, Xing Yun, please go to the Mysterious Forest Martial Arts Fighting Platform to prepare. Your match will start after a stick of incense."
.
"Well, it's my turn now."
"Your opponent is... pfft--" Flipping through the information on the cloud mirror, Xing Ya patted Xing Yun's shoulder earnestly. "alas, junior sister, I wish you good luck."
Xing Ya's statement caused Xing Yun to be confused.
But no matter how he asked her, she just wouldn't tell him. In the end, Xing Yun came to the martial arts platform named Mysterious Forest with her, using his eyes to personally confirm who the opponent was.
The name Mysterious Forest came from the arrangement of the platform.
Weird monsters' roars would faintly come from the quiet pristine woodland from time to time, which would make people's hair stand on end.
Xing Yun was not sure whether there were really monsters inside, but as far as the situation was concerned, whether there were monsters inside or not, he had to praise the workers behind the scene.
There were many uncertainties in the future environment of competition. If he adapted to various environments earlier, he would have one more chance of winning on the day of fighting.
Rubbing his hands, Xing Yun stepped into the barrier of the mysterious forest martial arts platform. Turning around, he found that he was already in a vast dense forest where no one had ever set foot.
Behind him was no longer that layer of barrier, but the branches and plants that obscure the line of sight.
He tentatively moved a certain distance toward the "direction where he came", but he did not exit the platform. He couldn't even see anything outside the platform.
"A self-contained little world...? It seems that Shang Qing Sect is really a big cultivation sect."
With a chuckle, Xing Yun began to get serious.
Xing Ya's words were still echoing in her ears, no matter who the opponent was, he was extremely dangerous to him now, and if he was careless, he would be defeated.
Xing Yun would not do things that disappoint others' good intentions. He released his Spiritual Sense and kept it within a detection range of about five meters in radius. Then he began to build a battle position that was beneficial to him.
Among the towering trees, a pair of eyes were staring at Xing Yun had exposed all his weaknesses.
The owner of the eyes did not take this opportunity to attack the first time. Those eyes were just watching Xing Yun building his defensive position.
"Mhm. Interesting, this Little Martial Granduncle wants to use this method to trick me into attacking her and initiate a counterattack."
The mumbling muttering came from under those eyes.
The voice was very low and deep, as if something was distorting his voice.
"Naive."
After speaking, the bright eyes disappeared, and the Xing Yun that was setting up the position also squinted his eyes at the same time.
Not eager to attack, but a calm opponent.
However, Xing Yun was very grateful for the opponent's calmness, because if that person had attacked just now, he really had no good way to deal with it and could only fight him head-on with a sword.
After setting up the position, Xing Yun hid in the dense forest.
Not only did he conceal his figure, but his scent, aura, and even his existence seemed to have disappeared as if he had never appeared here.
Then the dense forest fell silent again.
Xing Ya, who was watching from outside, puffed her cheeks with anger when she saw it.
The fighting method of those two people was so boring because they were all good at sneak attacks.
"She finally can't hold it back."
Suddenly, the owner of those eyes caught a trace of anomaly between the trees. The man waited for a while, and when the anomaly moved within the preset trap range, he suddenly activated the trap.
Boom--
A violent explosion occurred at the trap location, and billowing smoke rose into the air from the explosion area.
However, Xing Yun's figure did not show up due to the explosion, and the owner of the trap was not in a hurry. After checking it for a while, he activated the trap formation again.
Whether it was the profound lightning of nine heavens or the everlasting true fire, all the traps that could damage Xing Yun were activated one after another. A large area of dense forest was covered by the range of the trap. No matter how fast Xing Yun was, it was difficult for him to hide.
But even so, Xing Yun still did not show up.
At this time, the man realized that he was tricked by Xing Yun. He quickly turned around abruptly, but Xing Yun did not appear in the blind spot behind him.
"Tsk……"
The man quickly retreated from the place while concealing his movement. But just as he moved his position, Xing Yun that was not far from the original place, appeared with countless filaments in his hand.
"He is still young." He showed a smile.
After that, Xing Yun chased out along the direction where the thread had broken.
Chapter 5 If you want to win, you need to rely on more than just force (1)
Spiders were one of the keenest hunters in nature, and the web was a powerful weapon for searching and capturing prey.
In a dense forest that was difficult to explore without being discovered, one could build their own spider web, then the balance of victory would tilt when the spider web was formed.
Xing Yun disassembled the silk-like clothing that was never used in the interspatial ring, and used the refined flexible filaments to weave a huge net of detection.
In front of the opponent higher than his realm, it was by no means a wise choice to use Spiritual Sense.
And the opponent did not activate the Spiritual Sense to find him, so the spider web became the most powerful weapon at this time.
——Although Xing Yun didn't quite understand why this opponent who was as cunning as him, didn't use spiritual sense. Probably, he had already studied his favorite fighting method?
Or he wanted to prove that he was better than anyone in this regard?
Anyway, these were not important, what was important was that Xing Yun had now caught up with the moving haystack.
His moving speed was very fast, and he would not move in a fixed direction for too long each time. The dexterous figure was moving between the branches, like a ghost that had been resurrected in this eerie forest.
The person seemed to be familiar with a woodland environment, even though such a performance was unconventional to cultivators, but such incomparable swiftness and dexterity was also a way of fighting that ordinary cultivators would not expect.
Not in a hurry to launch an attack, Xing Yun hid himself with all his strength and continued to follow.
As he chased the opponent, the environment they were in had become more and more complicated. The already dense forest leaves had now faintly become a thin green wall obstructing the way forward and blocking the view of the opponents in front of him.
Seeing that he could no longer follow, Xing Yun suddenly realized what his opponent wanted to do.
She stopped abruptly and took out a small box from the interspatial ring.
The opponent also knew exactly how dangerous it was to move in this kind of environment. Just as he slowed down, Xing Yun suddenly threw the small box at the person as a flying weapon.
The sound of breaking through the air instantly broke the silence in the dense forest. The person instinctively made the action of blocking the attacking object while retreating, but then he suddenly found that the attacking object abruptly stopped in front of the blade.
The wooden box was just cleaved by the sharp blade of the short sword, and the fragrance and spiritual energy emitted by the Spiritual Medicines instantly dispersed in the breeze.
After a brief daze, the man widened his eyes and shouted lowly, "Oh no!"
Immediately afterwards, there was a heart-pounding tremor from the earth, and with the tremor that was difficult to stand, it seemed as if the entire creepy forest was shaking.
"Roar--!"
A roar that shocked the soul came from the depths of the creepy forest, and the stench of greed and anger swept over where the man was standing.
The eye-catching white light burst out from the person's body, with the white halo, the foul smell that made the grass and trees withered in an instant was unable to hurt that person any bit.
Standing on the treetop and watching the scene below, Xing Yun touched his nose triumphantly.
When constructing the "web", the heavenly silk extending here sensed that there was a huge beast. It just so happened that the direction the opponent was moving to was also here, so Xing Yun was naturally happy to defeat him using this beast.
The elimination competition was a continuous competition system, so it was necessary to save energy in every battle.
The shake became more and more violent, and the opponent knew that he had been tricked. He immediately took off the camouflage coat that had been soaked in the scent of the spiritual medicines.
He scratched his head and looked in the direction where the box came from. In those clear eyes, there was an intense flame of resentment.
"The smell of Heavenly Pivot Illusion Dew is very aggressive. If I were you, I would definitely take more than just the coat off."
Xing Yun's voice came from all sides of the opponent, and the opponent subconsciously sniffed his cuff, and his eyes instantly teared up.
It was caused by anger.
"Little Master Uncle, this is not fair! ！”
It must be said that this disciple was actually a very decisive girl. Seeing that the terrifying monster beast lurking in the depths of the eerie forest was about to be attracted by the fragrance of Heavenly Pivot Illusion Dew, she raised her hand without hesitation and raised three fingers to signal to the people outside.
The light representing the teleportation suddenly fell from the sky and enveloped her. When the brilliance converged, the disciple had already left the forest.
The teleportation of the winner would cast on him a little later, and Xing Yun did not dare to stay a second longer as well.
He was not interested in knowing what the monster beast would look like. After the warm glow fell, he took a deep breath and was mentally prepared to be scolded by Xing Ya when he went out.
Sure enough, as soon as he was teleported out, Xing Ya directly twisted his ears.
"You little brat! What kind of competition is this!"
"Have mercy, Senior Sister..."
Although Xing Yun had grown a lot taller than five years ago, Xing Ya was a tall girl. His current height could only make Xing Ya more comfortable with twisting his ears.
"No mercy, you tell me yourself, is that a fair fight."
"If the Senior Sister says it doesn't count, then it doesn't count, hiss... gentle... gentle..."
In the eyes of ordinary cultivators, this fight was indeed not a competition. The competition was a matter of demonstrating strength, but Xing Yun had defeated his opponents using a trick.
In fact, not only Xing Ya was angry, many short-tempered peak leaders were jumping up and down against cursing Xing Yun.
But Xing Yun had his own ideas and arrangements, but just when he wanted to explain to Xing Ya, a phantom came straight to the back of his head.
Bang!
The brilliance flashed, and the incoming object burst open instantly.
The crystal powder was escaping into the air, and the brilliance reflected in it was dazzling.
Xing Ya held the sword in front of Xing Yun, "Who is it?! Come out! ”
Xing Yun twitched his nose, and suddenly a bitter smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"Senior Sister, smell it..."
Xing Ya sniffed when she heard the words, immediately put away the sword, and pushed Xing Yun forward.
"It is the trouble you caused yourself, you deal with it yourself."
After speaking, Xing Ya stepped back a few steps, looking at him with a gloating expression.
The too strong sweetness of the Heavenly Pivot Illusion Dew gave Xing Yun an indescribable sense of irritation. Even if he had stirred up the True Vital Energy and blew away the surrounding fragrance, its unique taste still remained in his nasal cavity.
Since Xing Ya no longer protected Xing Yun, and the person who threw the "box" also appeared in front of Xing Yun at this time.
It was a young lady who looked like a lady from a wealthy family, talked like a lady from a wealthy family, and even walked like a lady from a wealthy family.
She walked toward Xing Yun while still holding two small wooden boxes in her hand. No need to think about it, Xing Yun knew that it was Heavenly Pivot Illusion Dew in those boxes.
"Little Martial Granduncle, nice to meet you, Ling'er has prepared these meeting gifts for you, I hope you won't reject it."
