As Xing He's voice fell, his huge projection suddenly shattered into pieces of light particles, and the golden particles that escaped gradually condensed into countless light balls, and then—
Bang!
Bang bang bang--
A series of explosions echoed in the air, colorful fireworks blooming like flowers.
Looking up at the fireworks, Xing Yun covered his face speechlessly.
He thought that Senior Brother Xing He had forgotten the previous arrangement that other Supreme Elders also wanted to show their faces in the projection as well...
In fact, Xing He had not forgotten. After all, he had it written on his palm already. It was just that he made some changes to the arrangement.
"Hi, look here, look here, do you remember me? I am your lovely and charming Fifteenth Supreme Elder! Ahem! I will be the host of this sect competition. Are you surprised? And are you excited to see me?"
Hearing this, Xing Yun couldn't help but cough.
Of course, this cough was not to remind his fifteenth martial uncle to be serious.
He coughed because he almost laughed.
When selecting the person who would host the competition, the group of Supreme Elders wanted to choose the current peak leader of Fairy Maiden Peak. After all, she had a good temper and also looked very pretty.
But what Xing Yun needed was someone who could liven up the atmosphere, not a beautiful model.
So after talking to Yun Xia for a while, the female hooligan took the kitchen knife and forced the fifteenth martial uncle to be the host.
"But there are even more exciting things...Tada!"
The sky suddenly darkened, and the sudden darkness made all the disciples exclaimed, and even some of the disciples who had overreacted had already stirred their True Vital Energy and took out their weapons.
But what happened next was unexpected to Xing Yun.
Two soft light beams shone from the sky above, accurately separating him and Xing Ya from the crowd.
"As the two youngest elders in Shang Qing Sect, don't you all think that the fight between them should be the first match?"
"Yes--!"
"Yeah--!"
After a few seconds of silence, cheers like torrents erupted.
After being exposed by Yun Yun, Xing Yun also got rid of her disguise.
"Look at Little Master Uncle, she is much more beautiful now."
"Yeah. But her chest is still flat. What a pity."
"Are you crazy? How can you say something like that? Don't stand near me if you want to die."
……
There were still many such whispers, but Xing Yun didn't pay attention to it for the time being. He had thought about the possibility of Xing He changing the previous arrangement since the fireworks exploded, but at this time he believed that Yun Yun was trying to get even with him even more.
"Yun Yun, this bratty girl, she really needs to be punished." Yun Xia stood in the air holding an umbrella. At this time, she had already put on a relatively formal long skirt.
The same went for the other elders. Even Iron Bull also took out his best clothes and put them on.
As the most senior and oldest elder of the sect, Sage Yun Qing shook his head and smiled.
"Seventh Junior Sister, stop giving little fifteen a hard time. She has been working very hard normally, now there is finally something that can make her happy, just let her do it. Oh, I need to record this."
"Yes, Old Seven," Yun Dan also helped, "Look at Little Fifteen, she is no longer stuttering. I also need to record this."
Others also wanted to say a few words to help Yun Yun, but in the angry glare of Yun Xia, they stayed silent.
. . .
Taking a deep breath to calm down his mind, Xing Yun slowly stepped onto the guiding stairs that appeared out of thin air.
Upon arriving on the main fighting platform, Yun Yun’s introduction followed, "what you see now is the youngest elder of our Shang Qing Sect, the only closed-door disciple of Sage Yun Qing, the person born amongst the stars, the lovely and the majestic Fairy of Heavenly tribulation - Fairy Xing Yun. Let's give her your warmest cheers and applause!"
"On the other side of the stage is the first disciple of the super elder of Shang Qing Sect, the disciple of Yun Dan, the unsullied sword spirit, and the successor of the Po Ming Divine Sword..."
"So, who will be the final winner of this match? Will it be Xing Ya, or will it be Xing Yun? Let us wait and see!"
"Competition will start in ten seconds. Everyone, please get ready!"
"Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
As the countdown began, many swords began to float behind Xing Ya.
"One!"
"Game starts!"
As Yun Yun's voice fell, Xing Yun's figure suddenly disappeared from the place.
Chapter 4 Competition, Start! Part 2
Just like being invisible, the figure of Xing Yun disappeared completely on the majestic fighting platform.
Xing Ya knew very well that this was not "invisibility", and it was also not the method from the Formless Peak that was used to conceal one's scent. The extremely fast but extremely light stepping on the ground told her that the reason why Xing Yun disappeared was that he was continuously moving at super high speed.
Being able to reach this level in just five years, Xing Ya couldn't help but praise Xing Yun's talent in her heart.
But for her, it was nothing more than that.
The long sword imitating Xing Yun's Sword Formation suddenly shot out, and rushed to the place where Xing Yun might step on.
If Xing Yun used his Sword Formation to fight Xing Ya's Sword Formation, by relying on his familiarity and control precision, he could still be able to compete with Xing Ya for a while.
Although the final result was that he would be defeated by not having enough True Vital Energy, it would not be like what happened now. Countless sharp blades exploded at the place when he was about land, forcing him to reveal himself in Xing Ya's sight.
"Junior Sister, as a cultivator, you should know that during a fight, you should make the best use of your advantage."
"Senior Sister, thank you for teaching me this."
Dodging the attack repeatedly, it seemed like Xing Yun had fallen into a disadvantaged position, but his face showed an easy smile.
Yun Xia, who was watching the fight, saw a close-up of Xing Yun's face, and she immediately covered her forehead and let out a helpless sigh.
"Sigh, she is doing it again..."
Xing Yun was not a cultivation manic, but when he encountered an opportunity to train himself, he would definitely not let go of this opportunity.
This was not only caused by Xing Yun’s nature, but also due to the influence Yun Xia had brought to him in the past five years.
Xing Ya's sword array was constantly bombarding the area Xing Yun might step on. In order to force her to leave the fighting platform, Xing Ya began to float in the air.
In this way, there would be no blind spot in her attack.
When Xing Ya floated to a certain height, the corner of Xing Yun's mouth suddenly curved into a strange smile.
Immediately afterwards, his figure flashed several times. The sword rain that seemed to be powerful seemed to have no effect on him.
The next moment he appeared behind Xing Ya. The whole blade of a long sword was extremely red after being infused with True Vital Energy, unlike the brilliance that should have bloomed in the past.
Such a sudden attack surprised many people. It was not that Xing Yun's attack method was incomparably novel, but that the attack carried out by concealing all aura really told them what a real surprise attack was.
However, just when the long sword was about to penetrate Xing Ya's body, Xing Ya, who was facing the long sword, showed a triumphant smile.
Clang——!
The sound of the steel clash suddenly echoed, and the long sword in Xing Yun's hand was stopped by several sharp blades that suddenly appeared.
One after another sharp blades used their bodies to construct an indestructible prison around the red sword.
The deadly red sword was only three or four inches away from the back of Xing Ya's neck, but it was like a deep and wide moat that the red sword could not across.
Moreover, Xing Yun vaguely saw the ripples of the air trembling in that moat.
He understood that even if the red sword was not stopped by the sword cage, his attack would never be able to cause any harm to Xing Ya.
He gave up the red sword directly, immediately backed away. The original place he was in was stabbed by countless sharp blades a second after he backed away. The traces of True Vital Energy wrapped around those sharp blades made Xing Yun believe that if he didn't dodge in time, he would definitely be injured.
Returning to the fighting platform, Xing Yun raised his head and looked at Xing Ya.
"Amazing, Senior Sister, when did you see through my attack?"
"It's called an act according to circumstances."
The red sword was now no longer under Xing Yun's control, and at this time it had become a member of the endless sword formation. But as Xing Yun flipped his hand, another long sword reappeared in his hand.
"Oh--! It was just a brief confrontation, but it allowed us to see such a wonderful fight... Wah! How can you attack the commentator?! Xing Yun, you little bratty girl broke the rules, you know!"
Xing Yun took out a sharp blade from the interspatial ring and looked at Yun Yun who was in charge of explaining the fight and said.
"Do you still want me to throw the sword at you again? This time, I won't miss it."
"..." Yun Yun moved a few steps silently.
Malicious assault on the narrator may be a violation of the rules, but the person who really got stabbed by Xing Yun's flying sword could only sigh that he had such bad luck today.
Lowering the head to look at the sword that had stabbed his foot, Li Changge's mouth twitched. He endured the pain and beckoned to the disciple in charge of medical care in the distance.
After solving Yun Yun's noisy commentary, Xing Yun once again launched a quick attack.
Every time Xing Yun attacked, he would lose one sword, as time went on, Xing Ya had more and more swords in her sword formation.
"It's enough, Junior Sister, you should know that this kind of attack is useless to me."
"But Senior Sister, you can't catch me, can you?"
The direction of the voice came from Xing Ya's back again, and she forced Xing Yun to retreat in the same way she did before and decided not to play with him anymore.
"I thought you had made a lot of progress in the past five years. But it seems like I was wrong."
"Well, it is just five years, compare the long cultivation life, it is nothing. So, it is not strange that I don't have much progress, don't you think so, Senior Sister?"
"What..."
Different from the previous pace, this time Xing Yun launched a surprise attack far more quickly than before as if there was no concept of "distance" between the two. He simply appeared behind Xing Ya again.
"Huh!"
Countless long swords suddenly combined into a wall at the moment when Xing Yun stabbed the sword.
Amid the clanging sound, a piercing loud bang appeared along with a dazzling explosion.
After the iron wall blocked the sword strike, it turned into an iron curtain cage that covered the sky. It flew toward Xing Yun quickly, wanting to capture him inside.
Dropping the sword again, Xing Yun quickly escaped from the iron cage. After suddenly losing the target, the iron cage turned into a thousand swords and returned to Xing Ya's side.
The sword formation started to change, and True Vital Energy wandering in it were like the nerve currents traveling through the human brain.
The new sword formation was completed only within a few seconds.
With the new sword formation completely concealing Xing Ya in the middle, no matter how fast Xing Yun was, he would not be able to approach Xing Ya from behind again.
Upon seeing this, Xing Yun finally showed a smile as if the victory was in sight.
"Senior Sister, do you know the term 'many little drops make an ocean'?"
Although Xing Ya didn't know why Xing Yun suddenly asked this, she still nodded. And the same time, she controlled the sword formation and slammed toward Xing Yun.
"Then senior sister, you should also know the saying that 'quantity reduces quality'."
With a long sword floating in front of him, Xing Yun suddenly stirred up the True Vital Energy inside his body.
At the moment when the sword formation was about to him, the violent explosion sound reverberated continuously above the fighting platform.
Chapter 4 Competition, Start! Part 3
Xing Yun did not dodge or avoid facing the scorching hot airwave. At this moment, there was no trace of panic on his face, but only the incomparable self-confidence.
He just stood there, letting fragments of weapons whizz past him wantonly.
It was as if he had calculated that the air waves and fragments would not really affect him, and everything was within his plan.
The extremely violent chain explosion blew Xing Ya out fiercely. Despite the explosive momentum of the explosion, it was difficult to cause substantial damage to her who was wearing extra protection.
But such a sudden attack still shocked her for a brief moment, and it was this seemingly insignificant distraction that made her realize that she was already outside the fighting platform when she recovered.
After a short silence, Xing Ya smiled lightly.
"I didn't expect..."
Many disciples didn't see exactly what happened on the platform. They only saw the sword formation was glowing like a scorching sun. Then, it collapsed and exploded on its own.
In the minds of many people, this match was more like Xing Ya was trying to test out her new move, and it ended with the failure of her move.
However, the disciples who have been observant and had better cultivation bases could find the strangeness in them.
"The sword formation was very stable, and with the cultivation base of Martial Granduncle Xing Ya, even if it is just the first time she used this level of sword formation, it is absolutely impossible to cause such a big explosion..."
"Yes, and the starting point of the explosion was weird, not the core position..."
"But the point of detonation was one of the core nodes for True Vital Energy to travel through."
Several core-level disciples gathered together to discuss the cause of the explosion. They were all talented cultivators. They soon noticed the anomaly.
"Oh--! wonderful! It is really wonderful!"
At this time, the narrator Yun Yun, who had been frightened by Xing Yun finally spoke again.
"Knowing that her cultivation base is weaker than the opponent, she used the seemingly useless attack to deceive the strong opponent, and then repeat the useless attack continuously, and then suddenly activate the trap to strike the strong opponent's weakness.
Not only that, while using the seemingly useless attack, she also diverted the attention of a powerful opponent and prevented the arrangement from being detected!
Amazing, this is really amazing!"
Yun Yun explained loudly, almost attracting the attention of all the disciples who didn't understand the situation back to her.
"What a great move! Pretending to abandon the swords that had explosion talismans and allowing them to join the opponent's sword formation, and then detonate those weapons that were near the important nodes of the formation-"
Taking a deep breath, Yun Yun's pretty face at this time had a flush of excitement.
"What a precise arrangement! This! Is! Incredible!"
At this point, even the stupid disciples could understand what happened just now.
Although this method would not work well when there was a really huge gap in the cultivation base, compared with the current situation, it must be said that it was indeed an excellent tactic.
If at this time it was really fighting with people at Destiny Golden Core stage, having a method like this would create more opportunity for the weaker cultivators to escape.
"No wonder." Yun Xia clapped her hand, her face suddenly showed a sign of realization as if she really didn't know what Xing Yun had done.
"Old Seven, there is no need to pretend like you didn't know. We all heard you say that she was doing it again..."
"Iron Bull, did I really say it?" Taking out the kitchen knife and patted Iron Bull's chest a few times. Before she could say something, the treasured kitchen knife was forcibly taken away by Yun Dan. "I will keep it for you and return it to you when the opening ceremony is over. Pay attention to your image."
Yun Xia glared at him with her arms akimbo, "in this world, who doesn't know my real image?"
All the Supreme Elders "..."
Yun Xia did not continue to fight on this matter, and instead explained what she was trying to say, "I thought that little girl was planning to inject True Vital Energy into the long swords, and use the True Vital Energy to destroy the composition of the sword formation. She did it when I taught her how to control the Rahu sword formation. You probably don't know, my ass almost got blown off."
Yun Dan, "I can imagine..."
Yun Xia, "Number Two, what did you just say!?"
Some core disciples who noticed the abnormality also had similar reactions to Yun Xia's.
Jian Xing sat in the distance looking down at the huge wooden box lying flat on his legs, and shook her head in a melancholy manner.
She hoped that she would not meet Little Martial Granduncle in the elimination match...
If she could think of using this method to deal with a sword cultivator, then she definitely had other ways to deal with the disciples from other mountain peaks. Li Changge squinted his eyes and looked at the slender figure whose ears were twisted by Xing Ya on the edge of the fighting platform, his eyes were full of fighting spirits.
It was difficult for Leng Yueyao sitting next to him not to notice the surging fighting spirit, so all she thought now was how to leave this place. Because...
——On her right hand was Li Changge, and on her left was the core disciple of the Refining Peak.
Now the two people's desire to fight against Xing Yun was so strong that it made Leng Yueyao feel like she was sitting in between two burning high-pressure boilers.
"Senior brothers, I, I need to go to the restroom..."
"Oh, oh Sorry, Sister Yueyao."
With that, the disciple of Refining Peak stood up.
When he was sitting, he was like a castle wall. When he stood up and he was like a moving castle wall...
Looking up at him, then looking down the blocked aisle, Leng Yueyao sat back silently after a few breaths of silence.
The people that were shocked by Xing Yun's attack the most were naturally the ordinary disciples. How to make the best use of power was what was most needed in the stage of insufficient cultivation base. Xing Yun could teach them this without hiding it. It was hard for those disciples not to thank him.
"Say... Little Martial Granduncle is so smart, I would never be able to think of this kind of attack method."
"If you could figure it out, then you would also my Martial Granduncle. Anyway, the purpose of this grand competition is to let us see and learn more things..."
"Shhh- stop talking, the sect leader is going to make a speech again!"
The disciple who interrupted the chat between the two pointed to the sky.
As he said, Xing Yun reappeared in everyone's sight, but this time it was not the huge projection, but his real body.
Behind him, all the elders, peak leaders, and all the people in charge of the Shang Qing Sect were all present.
They stood quietly behind the Xing Yun, waiting for his speech.
"Ahem, I will say a few more words."
