Although Leah was strong in her heart, she was also an ordinary girl, and the severe pain caused by the deep wound still evoked her tears. It was just that Leah held the tear back, because she still had something to accomplish.
"I have not……"
Leah staggered up from the ground, and the air in the entire wasteland instantly became agitated.
The stone-paved ground gradually began to glow with crimson light, ice crystals were flying all over the sky, huge pillars of fire were spewing out from the ground, sparks were splashing everywhere. The darkness in mid-air gradually distorted into a vortex visible to the naked eye, constantly sucking the active natural elements in the air.
Immediately afterwards, a more violent breath gushed from the black hole.
No matter who it was, they could all see at a glance that the magic vortex formed by mixing pure magic energy was very dangerous. In contrast, the magic energy in the previous battle seemed to be nothing.
"Are you crazy? That thing will destroy that small town!"
Leah didn't listen to Aker's words, her brain was already occupied by the pain in her right shoulder. Now Leah had become numb, she only reacted with the instinct of her mind.
"Phantom Light..."
With Leah's whispers as a signal, the pitch-black hole was gradually filled with dazzling colors. Different natural elements were gathered and then blended together, and the violent energy was compressed again and again.
Although the volume of the magic vortex was very small relative to the town, the power of the magic burst was enough to level the town.
"Venus. Are you still not ready..." Aker anxiously shouted in his heart, "Hurry up..."
In the face of this situation, he was unable to do anything. Now he could only pin his hopes on Venus, who hadn't shown up since the beginning of the fight.
Time quickly ticked away, the magic vortex seemed to be able to erupt at any time, and Aker finally heard the voice he had been waiting for for a long time.
"Elder Brother Aker, I'm ready..."
"Lynn!"
While reminding Lynn, Aker converted the bullets of the guns into magic threads with absolute toughness and bound the unsuspecting Leah without any hindrance. With a pull of his arm, Leah was pulled into Aker's arms, and the impact of the body collision knocked Aker to the ground.
The magic vortex immediately began to lose control, and restless natural elements shot out from the center of the vortex from time to time.
The eyes of Leah, who was exhausted with physical strength and magical energy, lost their luster, and the blood oozing from her shoulders stained Aker's chest. When her consciousness gradually blurred, the tears that stayed in the corner of her eyes finally flowed down.
"Quick, let's leave this place..."
However, Leah had passed out in a coma, and Lynn had also suffered a serious injury. It was impossible for them to escape.
"It's too late!"
He could only pull Lynn who rushed to his side and used his back as a shield for the two of them.
"Come, the voice of the void--"
Dozens of blood-red light bands enveloped the colorful magic vortex in mid-air, and the ancient words on the glowing band shone with enchanting light.
Subsequently, the heat wave of energy was pushed into the wasteland.
…………
The center of the battlefield gradually returned to calm. The wasteland was covered with rubble, and there was no complete rock nearby. Fortunately, the magic burst was limited to this area.
A huge ice coffin protected all the four people at the center of the magic burst. This was Leah's last instinctive reaction when she was about to lose her consciousness.
Although the magical vortex formed by the fusion of different natural elements was suppressed by Venus's domain, there was still some power left, and the solid ice coffin of Leah became the final barrier.
The spell that Venus used to hide her magical fluctuation was not cast on herself, but on Aker and Lynn. Only when the two of them were very close together would the domain lose its effect, otherwise Leah would definitely be able to sense Venus's energy fluctuation.
Leah felt Venus's magic power the moment before losing consciousness. The only thing she was worried about was that she might hurt Venus, so she used the remaining magic energy to construct this ice coffin.
Aker suffered most of the shock and also fell into a coma, only Lynn and Venus remained conscious.
After using the high-level domain spell, Venus was not affected by the magic energy exhaustion. This was why she was the strongest Domain Mage in the church. At this time, with the clearest consciousness, she noticed that other people had entered this wasteland.
After Gurley carried Aker, who had fallen into a coma because of protecting Lynn and Leah, to the river bank, he also lay down next to Aker, who was also in a coma, while Lynn and Venus sat back to back directly on the ground.
Loulou had brought a large first aid kit and used her magic and the medicine inside the first aid kit to provide the most basic care for the three injured. Leah's injury was the heaviest. Loulou applied Nia's special herbal medicine to the wound on her right shoulder and then wrapped it using a bandage.
When she was in the pub, Gurley asked Nia to prepare this first-aid kit for Loulou. With many people injured, if Loulou relied all on her healing magic, she might exhaust her magic energy and collapse, but with her personality, even if she really exhausted her magic energy, she would continue to do it.
Gurley watched Loulou work from the side, everything was going on silently.
The moonlight was still there, but no one appreciated it.

After witnessing the tragic situation in the center of the battlefield, Loulou was very calm, and did not show the panic that she had when fighting with the fire wolves.
Before the start of this battle, she had anticipated this result.
But she didn't want to just be a younger sister who hid behind her elder brother and was protected by her elder brother. When she saw Aker with his eyes closed, she secretly made up her mind.
Covering them who were sleeping with a blanket, Gurley suggested waiting here for them to wake up.
"Aker is a tough guy. I guess he will wake up soon." He glanced at Aker who was lying down. "I can't walk back with two unconscious people on my back."
"You don't need to worry about my lady."
A strong wind blew on the flat ground. A man in the tailcoat appeared in the previously empty wasteland.
Lynn and Loulou were a little surprised by the sudden appearance of the man in the tailcoat. From what he called Leah, it could be seen that the man in the tuxedo was related to the church.
Having just experienced that fierce battle, now even Lynn couldn't continue to fight.
"Uncle Arcas, why are you here?"
Venus recognized the man in the tailcoat who was standing still and didn't move.
"Do you want to fight us as well..."
Lynn got up from the ground and summoned the Light Flame Sword, but the long sword fell off her hand immediately. She was so weak that she couldn't even hold the hilt of the sword.
And Venus behind her hurriedly held Lynn's hand, probably hoping that Lynn would not continue fighting.
"Don't be nervous, I don't want to fight you. I'm here just to bring Lady Leah back. She just tried too hard, that's why she ended up like his. On behalf of Lady Leah, I sincerely apologize to you all."
After bowing, the man in the tailcoat raised his head to look at Lynn.
"So you are the owner of the magic gear "Light Flame Sword", Miss Heinz? I have heard about you and your family. Although I don't know if you will believe me or not, there are still many kind children like Lady Leah and Lady Venus in our church, and it is not their fault. I hope you will not be blinded by hatred."
"Kind? If she is kind, would I end up like this? If it weren't for Aker, we would have been killed by your lady long ago!"
Lynn pointed at Aker who was unconscious, and tears burst out from her eyes.
"But Lady Leah chose to protect you in the end and didn't kill you."
Lynn fell silent because of the words of the man in the tailcoat.
"That's why I said Lady Leah tried too hard."
In the blink of an eye, the man in the tailcoat appeared next to Leah who was sleeping next to Aker. He picked her up with both hands, not caring about the neat tailcoat that was stained with blood.
"We haven't met each other for a long time, but I have troubled you again."
The man in the tailcoat didn't look at Gurley who was standing next to him, but this sentence was clearly addressed to Gurley
"As long as you remember that you still ow me, Arcas."
Gurley also didn't stop the man in the tailcoat from taking Leahy. He only said this to the man.
A smile appeared on the corner of the man in the tailcoat. Another strong wind blew past, and the man disappeared from the place with Leah.
Lynn stood blankly, and she did not hear the brief exchange between the man in the tailcoat and Gurley.
"Blinded by hatred... You also said this..."
Lynn walked to Aker's side and reached out to his sleeping face.
At this moment, Aker just opened his eyes slowly.
"It hurts... Mhm? What are you doing?"
Looking at Lynn's hand that was reaching toward him, Aker didn't know what she was doing.
Lynn didn't expect Aker to wake up so soon, she just wanted to touch Aker's sleeping face. she didn't even know the reason for wanting to do this.
It was impossible to withdraw the hand that had been stretched out, so she raised her hand in a flustered manner...
Slap!
"What did I do that offended you! Why did you slap me?!"
"I just want to hit you, you idiot!"
Aker still wanted to continue arguing with Lynn, but another person rushed out from behind Lynn and plunged into her arms.
It was Loulou, she hugged Aker's waist tightly, buried her face in his arms, and cried loudly.
The bandage was soaked with blood and tears.
P11
There was a small round table on the riverside where Venus once went alone.
The owner of the small round table gently put down the delicate tea cup in her hand and sighed.
"Knock on the door is the most basic etiquette..."
"I don't see any door here."
The young girl in a close-fitting cheongsam, with chestnut-colored long hair coiled up behind her head, put down her teacup in her hand and unfolded a classic folding fan.
Tara, who suddenly appeared inside the domain, walked to the small round table, pulled a chair, and sat on the opposite side of the young girl.
The other party just glanced at the heavy book in her arms, covering the corner of her mouth with the unfolded folding fan.
"Please pay attention next time, after all, you are already a professor at Frimaire Academy. If your students are like you, it will be a headache."
Tara ignored the obvious mockery.
"Serving guests with tea should also be a kind of etiquette."
"Unfortunately, this is the last one." The girl responded to Tara, and then changed the subject, "the pontiff seems to have made a meaningless decision. As far as I know, Miss Leah had never participated in a decent mission, so why was she sent here? She isn't here to gain experiences, is she? After all, Miss Venus and the daughter of the 'Heinz' family are not weak."
"The Pope is not as simple-minded as you think. Anyway, it's all right now."
"It seems that you care about those children. Are you still planning to accept them as students?"
"That will depend on what the people above think." Tara stood up and pushed up her glasses, "I'd advise you not to have some funny ideas, otherwise you may be targeted by Frimaire Academy."
The gaze under the round-frame glasses shot to the cheongsam girl like a blade, but she just smiled and accepted the threat from Tara.
"Okay, okay, don't stare at me with such scary eyes. If the toy is broken, it will be a headache. I will not deal with them for the time being. I just want to see how far they can grow. Is this okay? "
Although the meaning of the words seemed to be begging Tara to let her go, the confidence in the victory could be heard in the tone.
Tara just smiled.
"Do whatever you want, but do you think you, or the Nemesis association, can really persuade them?"
After saying that, Tara walked towards the depths of the grove without looking back.
When her scent completely disappeared, the cheongsam girl was completely relieved, her whole body relaxed and slumped against the chair.
"That was exhausting. Big sister really hasn't changed much... It seems that this place won't last much longer. Anyway, after seeing that great battle, it was good enough for tonight."
The small round table, chairs, and tea set all disappeared into the air with the figure of the cheongsam girl.
After that, the time finally flowed normally.
The breeze smoothed the traces she had left.
…………
When Leah opened her eyes, there was a familiar ceiling pattern in front of her.
The faint lemon scent was the only trace left in this room by a close friend who had just left her not long ago.
She slowly propped up and sat up from the bed, a tingling pain made her frown slightly.
"Venus... has become more and more independent..." She remembered the pure white figure she saw at the last moment, "Even if I was not here..."
Leaning her back on the head of the bed lightly, she looked at the window. Outside the window was the courtyard she had long been accustomed to.
Leah's gaze didn't look at the beautiful summer scenery outside the window, but her slightly tired expression reflected in the glass.
"I am sorry..."
If she didn't punish herself in her heart, then she would definitely be overwhelmed by this sense of guilt.
This was just to apologize for herself, this was just selfish.
Because of this, Leah didn't get a trace of redemption in her heart.
At this time, the door of the room was knocked softly three times, and Leah's thoughts were pulled back to reality.
She hurriedly arranged her curled hair and patted her cheek to make her complexion look better.
As the blue knight of the church, she must always pay attention not to show a weak side in front of others.
Especially for the youngest girls like themselves, they needed to pay more attention to this outside the church.
"Please come in."
'Mhm, no problem.'
'My voice did not tremble, and the expression was perfect.'
Liu Yin nodded in self-satisfaction. But after seeing the person who walked in, she let out a sigh of relief.
"Dad……"
"How are you feeling now?"
"I'm feeling better, but maybe I still can't get out of bed and walk around."
Only in front of this person, Leah allowed herself to be her true self. She didn't need to pretend to be strong, and she just needed to show her true side.
This person was the highest person in charge of the church, Pope Sirtis.
As if he was in his own room, he walked straight to Leah's bed and sat down.
Although he was the supreme leader of the church, he now seemed to be just a kind father.
"I know you don't have much experience, but I still didn't expect it would end up like this. Not only were you injured, but you also created such a big noise, I think you need to be punished."
He stretched out his hand pretendingly and relentlessly flicked Leah's forehead.
"Ow! I, I'm sorry..."
"Hahaha, no need to apologize. Although it was not the same as the original plan, there were unexpected gains."
Pope Sirtis got up and walked to the window, and opened the two closed windows. The natural atmosphere in the courtyard poured into the room, mixed with the original lemon scent, and turned into a unique freshness.
"Dad……"
Leah didn't know whether to ask this question or not, but she was troubled by it all the time.
She unconsciously pressed her chest tightly.
"Mhm?"
"Venus... now... how is she?"
She eventually asked.
