It was not the first time that Shi YuanXing had been beaten in a game. Anyway, it wouldn't cause any harm to my body in the real world, so I was not afraid of the scene in front of me.
"Stop!"
To my surprise, Yang Jiahui stood beside me.
"I'm here this time to order cakes for friends from the Student Union. In fact, they will arrive soon."
It would be fine if it was just me who got beaten, but I couldn’t just watch the girl being beaten...
I thought about it a little bit. In fact, most of those delinquents were just bluffing, not many of them would actually hit people. Some of their subordinates were just friends of friends, who they called to help them to intimidate other people...
To avoid fighting, I had to scare them, and the student union members were a good choice.
"Look, they are here."
I pointed to a group of teenagers and girls in Bailu High School uniforms who were talking and laughing on the side of the road...
Regardless of the combat power, we had numbers, so they would definitely win.
The deqlieunts looked at us with an unkind expression, then at the students from the student union, and then left without looking back...
"Whew, they are finally gone."
I deliberately breathed a sigh of relief in front of Yang Jiahui...
"You are quite clever."
Yang Jiahui looked at me with a complicated expression. This was a good thing, at least it showed that I had impressed her...
"Hahaha, what I said is true. It is true that I recommended them to come here to order cakes, but I didn't know they would be here at this time. What a coincidence."
"...Anyway, thank you."
"No problem, just ask me if you need any help!"
Anyway, she would need my help soon... As I thought, the middle-aged proprietress in the bakery was full of sadness.
"Sigh... Suddenly there is such a big order, but there are only two of us. We can’t complete such a big order. But those people are also members of the student union of Bailu High School. If we take the order, they will continue to buy from us frequently. Can I trouble you to stay? I will pay you extra."
The second half of the proprietress's words were for Yang Jiahui. She frowned and thought for a while, and finally agreed to the proprietress' request.
"But this is still understaffed, so we have to work until 12 o'clock at night..."
"I’m sorry, I have to go back to take care of grandma."
Wait a second! Yang Jiahui had a grandma? And she said that she needed to take care of grandma?
I looked at her again-although she was wearing an apron and a hat with the bakery logo, she was still the girl with long purple hair and a cold face.
Did such a girl know how to take care of other people? Moreover, I had just heard her dark history...
But now was not the time to think about this.
"If you need help, I can come and work for a day..."
The proprietress and Yang Jiahui turned to me at the same time.
Although the students from the student union had already left, I still stayed here, waiting for the opportunity to get close to Yang Jiahui.
"Are you a student of Bailu High School?"
"I am a classmate of Yang Jiahui and a frequent visitor to buy cakes here every day."
"Yang Jiahui, do you know him?"
Yang Jiahui looked at me complicatedly for a while, then sighed.
"……Yes."
"That's great! If he can come and help you, you can also finish the cake and go home early. That's it. You can come to help us make the cake tomorrow!"
The proprietress patted me hard on the shoulder again and again.
Damn it. This proprietress was so strong.
Was she the uncle of a weapon shop or the owner of the ramen shop who came out of the Shounen Manga?
Anyway, making cakes together meant that I would have the opportunity to help Yang Jiahui. Even if I was not good at interacting with girls, I would still be able to increase her level of affection toward me in this way, right?
Chapter 4 The Unstoppable Departure Part 1
"It's not difficult to make a cake, as long as you do it like this..."
The proprietress explained the secret of making cakes while decorating the cake with the cream.
"Am I doing it right?"
The girl asked cautiously.
"That's right! It's really great for a little girl to be able to do this for the first time! Whoever marries you in the future is lucky."
"Ah...Classmate Shi, proprietress praises me."
Ying who was in a cute maid outfit said to me excitedly.
A few hours ago....
"Making cake? Yuan, take me with you!"
I just talked a little bit about going to a cake shop after school to make enough cakes for the cake shop, but Ying’s eyes emitted sparkling lights when she heard the words ‘making cakes’.
At the begging of my girlfriend, I had no choice but to take her with me. What I didn't expect was that Ying was talented not only in cooking, but also in pastry.
She had learned how to make the flowers using cream while I was still stirring the eggs. The proprietress even planned to hire her for a long time, but she didn't know why she changed into a maid outfit. Gentle and virtuous, and omnipotent in housework, she was truly a model of the epitome of pure, feminine beauty and a good wife.
"Huh? There is cream on your face. I'll wipe it off for you."
A small amount of cream got on Yang Jiahui's face, and the proprietress saw it and walked over to help her wipe it off.
"Um... Yuan, can you wipe off the cream for me?"
Ying tugged at my clothes, and said the same request, the atmosphere suddenly became very embarrassing...
"You wish! The cream on your chest obviously can only be wiped off by yourself!"
"Tsk."
If I heard it right, Ying just clicked her tongue, right?
Who on earth taught the gentle little angel Ying to do such things?
In addition to me, the only people Ying talked to was Shen Qing, so it must be her who taught Ying this! That damn woman!
"Anyone there?"
"Oh, I can't leave the kitchen, Student Shi, can you help me to serve the customer?" the proprietress asked. Oh well, this seemed to be the best decision. After all, I was the most useless one in making cakes...
The so-called customer was a slender girl with long black hair, wearing the uniform of Bailu High School. I couldn't be more familiar with this cold and arrogant expression.
"Shen Qing, why are you here?"
Since there was no one else around, I called her directly by her real name.
"Is Ying with you?"
"She is making a cake in the back."
"Idiot, who asked you to bring Ying?"
All of sudden, Shen Qing went into a rage inexplicably.
"What's wrong with just making the cake..."
"I’ve told you that unusual behavior will attract the AI's attention. You are still so close to her! Hurry up and let her go home! And you are trying to gain Yang Jiahui’s affectio now, right? You and Ying, this dumb couple, will definitely expose us!”
“……”
"Generally speaking, she will not feel jealous when her Level of Affection is below the threshold. But once her Level of Affection increases to a certain value, her feelings for you will enter a certain mode. At this time, if you and other girls are too close to each other, her Level of Affection will only decrease."
After listening to it for a while, I was scared for a while.
I would never forget the stories where the protagonists were being killed by their own harem. It was all caused by jealousy.
"Leave it to me anyway."
It was Shen Qing who took the initiative to help, which was very rare. Although I was puzzled but did not refuse her help, I still took her into the kitchen together——
"Classmate Shi… Eh? Why are you here?"
"I am here to help."
Shen Qing answered Ying’s question.
The proprietress, who was very busy, saw that she was also a student of Bailu High School and knew us, so she didn't ask much.
But Shen Qing... Although she just said that she was here to help, she was holding her hands and leaning against the table in a daze.
What was she doing!
"I mean, are you not going to move at all?"
I whispered to her that the proprietress over the other side was already suspicious.
"Tsk, who wants to do such a boring thing."
Sure enough, it was useless to talk to her.
It was at this moment, Ying seemed to run out of cream... I leaned down and picked up the iron container filled with the freshly stirred cream, ready to pour it into the bag...
However, at this moment, I was suddenly tripped by someone, and then my center of gravity was unstable and my body fell forward--
"Ah-"
There was nothing in front of me! And this scene was so familiar. The only difference this time was that the whole pot of cream in my hand was splashed on Ying.
P2
"Ah?! I can't see anything!"
The consequence of course was that Ying's entire upper body was covered with cream from head to chest. She was turning around like a headless fly...
Ying could only wave her hands in the air, it splashed the cream everywhere, even on my body as well...
"Wh… what's going on! Are you all right?"
The proprietress finally found the tissue in a panic. I took the tissue and started to help Ying wipe the cream off her body.
But using a mere paper towel would not wipe off the cream...
"It seems like she has to go back and change clothes."
Shen Qing, who was standing by and watching, suddenly spoke. No need to guess, it was definitely her who tripped me just now...
"Let me take Ogiso back to change clothes."
After she finished speaking, she glanced at me. I understood what she meant, and I quickly followed her.
"Yes. In that case, please take care of her.”
"Huh? I don't want to go..."
Ying looked at us in confusion.
"You should really go back and change clothes first."
With my firm persuasion, Ying finally reluctantly left the kitchen with cream all over her body and Shen Qing.
"...She left? Sigh... she is a very good helper, but now, it seems like I can only rely on you..."
The proprietress came back to her senses, looked at Ying's leaving figure and sighed a few times.
Hello! Although I was not good at making cakes, I could still improve, alright!
"Pff--"
"By the way, you, don't stand there in a daze, come and help too!"
So Shen Qing, who came back to laugh at me after sending Ying out of the cake shop, was also asked to make cake. Under the instruction of the proprietress, she started to work reluctantly.
Shen Qing's cake making skill was as bad as mine. Fortunately, we finally finished making all the cakes before 7 o'clock...
"Oh, thank you for helping us to complete such a large order! Especially Student Sh-"
It seemed that the proprietress was quite satisfied with my work, thinking of this, I looked at Shen Qing proudly——
"-The girl she brought is so capable! It's a pity that she left halfway. If she is interested in working here, I will definitely hire her... The maid outfit is also very suitable for her..."
"I agree with the second half..."
"Idiolt……"
Shen Qing rolled her eyes at me.
After getting my pay, we left the bakery. Shen Qing left with an excuse as soon as we went out, so I could be alone with Yang Jiahui…
It was getting dark. Walking in the little street where the lights were on, I thought about what to say first.
"...Thank you, Classmate Shi, you helped a lot today."
Yang Jiahui spoke first in the end.
Being thanked by a girl again. Suddenly, I felt a little uncomfortable. No girl would be interested in an otaku in reality, and only by selflessly helping a beautiful girl could I get a little good impression. However, this good impression was of little importance.
People didn't need to be hurt to understand the truths that need to be understood. Sometimes they understood it from the beginning.
The only one who liked me was Ying, a virtual character, but it didn't matter, as long as she liked me wholeheartedly in this world, it was enough.
“Classmate Shi？”
I turned my head, Yang Jiahui was actually looking at me.
"You are going to hit a telephone pole."
It was the usual cold tone.
"Ah, helping classmates is what I should do… but you shouldn’t be late tomorrow again."
"Pff... alright."
You must be kidding. The ice beauty actually laughed? Did I make you laugh? What I said wasn’t a joke, right?
When we reached an intersection, she suddenly stopped.
"...I'm going to the hospital over there next, we probably need to separate from here"
She pointed to the white building at the end of the road on the right.
…..
On Friday, I was stunned when I looked at the book of level of affection. Yang Jiahui's Level of Affection jumped from 30 to 55... Because of those two things, she considered me a friend now? Anyway, it was still far away from my goal. So I had to continue.
I had been helping out in the bakery during the weekend, and the Level of Affection with Yang Jiahui was also slowly rising. Different girls in GALGAME had different personalities. Perhaps Bai Qingyue's personality allowed her level of affection toward other people to increase quickly, but Yang Jiahui's personality didn’t make that easy.
