Xing Yun himself was not aware of the fact that someone was using his marriage to scam other people's money.
So when he heard Yun Xia announced that his cultivation in seclusion had been completed the next day, he actually felt uncomfortable by this sudden decision.
——After all, for five consecutive years, he had been fighting with Yun Xia the moment he got up in the morning until he went to sleep at night. It was natural that he would feel uncomfortable when his daily routine in the last five years was suddenly and forcibly changed.
But Xing Yun did not choose to show up in the Shang Qing Sect immediately after his closed-door training. It was not that he was worried that others would not recognize him, but that he bumped into the fifteenth Supreme Elder when he returned to his little wooden house.
"Huh? Yun'er, you are getting more and more beautiful."
"Martial Uncle, just tell me why you are here..."
Being pressed against the door panel by Yun Yun, Xing Yun directly admitted defeat and asked.
"Don't worry, I won't run."
With his words, Yun Yun loosened her hand around Xing Yun's neck.
She pushed up non-prescription glasses on her nose bridge, the glasses reflected a bright light that almost blinded his eyes.
"This is the summary report of the results of the reforms implemented in Shang Qing Sect in the past five years. You can take a look first." Yun Yun took out two slightly turbid jade slips from the interspatial pouch. This was the characteristic and color of this jade slip. The darker and the more turbid it was, the greater the amount of things stored in it was. It was almost the same reason that the reading speed would be slower when the hard disk was used more. "After reading that, you can take a look at the details of the sect competition. If there is no problem, then I will start to arrange the relevant personnel."
There was only one jade slip about the sect competition, so there shouldn't be many things in it.
But……
"This is the complaint letters and opinions from after the reforms are implemented. They are all for you," taking out a big box, and Yun Yun put it on the ground, the loud noise caused when it landed on the ground made Xing Yun feel a tightness in the chest, "Find some time to take a look. Then return all the feedback to me, I need a detailed summary."
"Oh! By the way, and..." Yun Yun started going through her interspatial pouch again.
Upon hearing this, Xing Yun instantly sat on the ground.
"There is more!? ”
"Yes, otherwise what do you think our internal support department is doing every day..."
After thinking for a while, Xing Yun tentatively replied, "Drink tea, play chess, bask in the sun?"
At that time, Yun Yun flicked Xing Yun's forehead: "at least, you didn't directly say that we were loafing around!"
Xing Yun's mouth twitched. He smiled awkwardly, "I didn't dare to say it... I am afraid of being beaten..."
Pushing up the glasses again, the reflection of the lens at this moment was almost like a small searchlight.
"Yun'er, do I not treat you well. When you stole things from other people, I helped you to cover them up. So..."
“……”
"I'm kidding," Yun Yun suddenly returned to normal, patted Xing Yun's head lightly, "Okay, I am not going to tease you anymore. What is recorded in this jade slip is the details of the competition preparation. You can take a look at this first. The sect competition is about to start soon, Senior Sister said that you also want to join in. But since you have a special status in the sect, so I'm making an exception here."
Xing Yun solemnly accepted the jade slip and smiled in gratitude.
"Is it because... that female hooligan threatened you with her kitchen knife again?..."
Turning her head to the side, her originally bright eyes suddenly lost in their luster.
"Ah... No... If it would be fine if she just used her kitchen knife..."
Xing Yun, "...."
Xing Yun was lost for words. He now became very curious about what method the female hooligan had used to threaten her.
.
After sending away Yun Yun, Xing Yun didn't enter the house immediately. He started looking at the box of complaint letters on the spot.
Xing Yun felt that he didn't need to look at the reform report. After all, he was not the one who was in charge of Shang Qing Sect, and he believed that the old folks would make changes without thinking it thoroughly.
What he cared more about now was the content of those complaints.
The label attached to the first piece of jade slip was related to the new points system. In the past, Xing Yun had read quite many novels about how to contribute points to exchange treasures in a sect. Shang Qing Sect also had this mechanism. Xing Yun only gave a small suggestion, and that was to link all the disciples' scores to the points as well.
In fact, this was also for those disciples' own good. After all, in the new system, it meant that they could gain points just by simply practicing cultivation inside the sect.
But even so, some people still complained that this mechanism was not fair.
Anyway, Xing Yun directly ignored that kind of complaint.
After flipping over the jade slips, the labels of the trial changes and complaints were divided into these categories:
Dissatisfied with the new scoring system, dissatisfied with the monthly mandatory requirement to go to the peak to listen to an one-hour instructional class, and dissatisfied with an annual assessment.
There were not many complaints about other things, so it could be considered that these changes within the sect were generally within the acceptable range.
This should be fairly easy to handle.
"What kind of strange complaint is this..."
After eliminating the complaints mentioned above, there were quite many jade slips with the label "anonymous".
Xing Yun picked up a piece of it and checked it with his spiritual sense. In the next second, he smashed the piece of jade slip to pieces.
The jade slip, as a tool for carrying information, was quite sturdy, but it could be broken into pieces by Xing Yun. From this, it could be seen how angry Xing Yun was.
Xing Yun picked up a few more pieces and checked them one by one, but the result was the same. All of them were smashed into pieces.
"What is wrong with those people! ”
"Huh? Junior sister, you come out of closed-door training? Why are you so angry. Who offended you again?"
Xing Ya slowly landed not far from Xing Yun like a goddess, glanced at the jade slips shattered into pieces, and then smiled.
"There there, don't get angry. Here, in order to celebrate you coming out of closed-door training and help you consolidate your cultivation base, you can eat these spiritual herbs."
After that, Xing Ya stuffed many herbs into Xing Yun's arms.
"So, Junior Sister, what exactly that made you so angry?" Xing Ya asked again after Xing Yun was almost buried in the mountain like herbs.
"...Just look at those complaints! More than half of the total complaints were comparing that they couldn't see me in the last five years... And the ridiculous reasons they had. For example, 'I don’t have the motivation to practice if I can’t see the Little Martial Granduncle. You tell me, what is wrong with those disciples!"
Chapter 3 Five years disappear in a flash part 4
Fortunately, Xing Yun directly blew up the remaining jade slips in the box, otherwise, he would definitely fall into Qi Deviation by simply looking at the content inside those jade slips.
——It was only a few people that complained that they had no motivation to cultivate, and the rest were basically asking or even questioning which mountain peak Xing Yun cultivated under. Many people who were qualified to directly enter the inner sect and become inner disciples were still waiting in the outer sect because of this reason.
The outer sect disciples were not happy, but the peak leaders of various peaks were unable to do anything to change their minds.
They even threatened to quit if they forced them to join the peak that they didn't want to join in.
It would be fine, if there were only just one or two of them. They could simply suppress them. But there were so many of them that it could almost form an army.
Because of this, it was not easy for peak leaders to do anything to them.
"Speaking of which, there are still a few days to go to the sect competition, Junior Sister, your...Huh? Why is your cultivation level still at the stage of foundation establishment? This is not good... the lowest cultivation base of other inner disciples is at the destiny golden core. Junior sister, you are not even a void core... I will talk to my master and martial uncles. Junior Sister, you..."
"Stop, Senior Sister, wait."
"Oh."
"Senior Sister, according to what you said, the female hooligan arranged for me to compete with the core disciples?"
Xing Ya shook her head.
"No," Xing Yun was about to breathe a sigh of relief. But then what he heard from Xing Ya next almost made him puke blood, "what martial uncle apply for you is the inner sect tournament. Not only you, but all the inner sect disciples will have to compete with each other from level one and raise to the top. You don’t know how interesting it was when your name appeared on the site of the drawing lots. If people didn’t know that those disciples just wanted to see you, they would think that they had a blood feud with you. Everyone wanted to draw your name. They all looked like they wanted to kill you. Oh, and..."
Although Xing Yun was speechless, this news still caused him to quickly take out the small jade slip handed to him by the fifteenth martial uncle.
With Xing Ya talking in the background, Xing Yun glanced roughly at the recorded content.
Sure enough, as he thought after hearing the news, in theory, it was very unfair to put core disciples and inner sect disciples together in the same tournament. In order to prevent one-sided situations, it could be clearly seen from the preliminary selection match that the tournament was divided into two sections; one for the core disciples and the other one for the inner sect disciple.
This arrangement was much more reasonable.
Although Xing Yun still felt that he was being bullied.
"It's the same as the fifteenth and seventh martial said. You are worried about the arrangement."
"...Huh?" Xing Yun was taken aback.
"Don't worry, it won't be unfair." At this time, as if Xing Ya suddenly changed into a different person, she said sternly, "as a cultivator who goes against heaven's will, if we can't face the challenges and difficulties directly, and can't beat the opponent that is more powerful than us, then what kind of inner disciple are we?"
...Was she trying to say that all cultivators had plot armors? ？
"Sigh...Forget it, instead of thinking about it, it is more practical for me to find out who my opponent is in the first match..."
"It's me!"
“……”
Xing Ya patted Xing Yun on the shoulder with a smile.
"Don't be so surprised. Seventh Martial Uncle's luck has always been very bad."
Suddenly, her smile disappeared, and she nodded to Xing Yun seriously.
"I will make it clear first, even if my opponent is you, I won't go easy on you. So prepare to be defeat in the first match. With your current cultivation base, Junior Sister, it's impossible for you to beat me."
"If I don't try it, how do I know that I will lose, right?"
Xing Yun, who has adjusted his mood after feeling speechless, smiled very heartily, without the worry and cowardice of facing a strong enemy.
Seeing Xing Yun's smile, Xing Ya's purpose of this trip was completely achieved.
Watching Xing Ya leave contentedly, Xing Yun packed up her things without expression and returned to her house, closed the door, and then started smashing the table with his forehead.
The first opponent he met was a cultivator who was about to reach a nascent soul cultivation base, and it was the core disciple within the core disciples. He didn't believe that it was an accident. That hooligan must have done it on purpose.
After repeatedly weighing the consequence of losing the battle, Xing Yun finally decided to go all out.
Although winning Xing Ya would make Yun Dan lose his face, if he didn't try his best to fight... Not only would he make the old man lose his face, but the female hooligan also would not be able to let him go easily.
Xing Yun shivered involuntarily every time he thought of what the female hooligan would do to him if he lost the match.
With the decision, Xing Yun calmed down and began to consolidate everything he had learned in the past five years.
While Xing Yun was still preparing himself for the competition, many people in the Shang Qing Sect were busy preparing the venue for the big competition.
The venue of the big competition was a place often used by Shang Qing Sect. It was Battle Peak.
This mountain peak was the only place in the Shang Qing Sect where its job was not to raise disciples but let disciples die. The whole mountain was like a natural pagoda. Numerous strange disc structures were supported by the giant stone structures that extend outward. From a distance, Battle Peak looked more like a towering tree, and those disc structures that extended out were the branches of the tree.
Many discs had different landscapes, but most of them were very barren.
On the periphery of Battle Peak, there were several huge ladder-like rings, which would be covered by mist from time to time.
Many disciples in charge of logistics were busy setting up all kinds of structures on those discs. Some were setting up business premises for the sponsors and vendors, others were setting up big screens for people that would not be able to see the competitions from close.
Chapter 3 Five years disappear in a flash part 5
Several days passed by in a flash, and on an auspicious day, the sect competition of Shang Qing Gate was held as scheduled.
The disciples who were in charge of preparation and setting up the scene were very responsible. In just a few days, the Battle Peak became a perfect venue for the competition.
At this time, the "towering giant tree" had luxuriant branches, no longer the withered look of that cold winter day, but a vigorous scenery.
All disc structures that extend out to serve as venues had their own unique environment, either the vast desert or the dense forest. There were even discs that had a purgatory-like environment. There were even many spirit beasts and monsters living in those fields that were like thousands of small worlds.
The roar of beasts came from the small world from time to time. At this time, Battle Peak was more like a world tree that gave birth to infinitely small worlds than a fighting arena.
The world rested on her branches, and she used her own essence to nurture those worlds called fruits.
Although the competition had just entered the opening stage, and even the official opening ceremony had not yet started, most of the outside disciples had already come early, looking for their own seats in the audience.
Those huge circular buildings were the auditoriums for watching the grand competition. Not only the stairs above the circular buildings, but even the main entrance of Battle Peak was gradually crowded with people.
The deserted Battle Peak on normal days had become very lively today. Under this lively atmosphere, the vitality of the whole sect seemed to be stimulated.
Banners were flying in the sky above Battle Peak like sect admission assembly day. Those golden banners not only gleamed in the sky above the Battle Peak, but they also spun around Battle Peak like a merry-go-round.
The words on the banner were vigorous and powerful, and every stroke faintly revealed bursts of amazing sword intent.
Although the sword intent would not directly affect the status of the disciples, it was enough to make many disciples feel the profound sword path in it.
Some people have begun to comprehend the supreme sword cultivation knowledge, but more people were still looking up at the big characters that were scrolling on the screen, complaining in their hearts like Xing Yun who had disguised as a normal disciple.
After all, no one had ever heard of the content of the banner of the sect competition would be: "Celebrating the opening of the grand competition of Shang Qing Sect that has been forgotten many times in the past."
The word "competition" was even spelled wrong and crossed out and rewritten next to it. God knew how careless the banner writer was.
"Say, Beauty Xia."
"Yes! I'm here. I'm here."
Yun Xia also disguised herself like Xing Yun. Xing Yun didn't want to be disturbed by people along the way, but Yun Xia intended to enjoy the new look inside the sect to her heart's content.
She had just bought a handful of marshmallows and was currently chewing them. If she didn't reveal herself, no one would be able to figure that this silly-looking girl was the Seventh Supreme Elder of Shang Qing Sect.
"It was you who wrote the banner, right?"
Looking up at the scrolling text, Yun Xia suddenly straightened her back and threw out her chest proudly.
"Of course, how is it? Does it feel like it's coming from time immemorial? I'm telling you, it took me a lot of effort to write them. Do you feel the profound sword cultivation principles contained in it? Integrating the sword intent into those words and not letting the sword intent to hurt other people. This is hard work. I'm telling you."
With the introduction of Yun Xia, the special effects props near the banner turned into blooming fireworks.
Shocked by the sudden turn of the painting style, Xing Yun held his chest and nodded, his face pale.
"Yes, yes... I can see that you were working very hard, and I almost had a heart attack..."
When Xing Yun said this, Yun Xia was a little unhappy, "even if we are sleeping together every day, I will still be angry, if you are trying to mock me."
Before Xing Yun had made any response, the disciples passing by began to utter, "Oh..."
Not only that, some of the stall owners have even begun to conceive the sketches of the indescribable comic to be sold next.
"What are you all looking at! Go watch your competition! This kind of thing is very usual in Fairy Maiden Peak, go, go, go, get lost!"
Xing Yun was telling the truth. Just during the week of stay in the Fairy Maiden Peak that year, he had at least seen at least eight lovey-dovey couples.
Moreover, the stall owner who was preparing to draw the indescribable comic also proved that what Xing Yun said was true
As the opening ceremony was approaching, more and more people began to appear.
Forcibly stopping Yun Xia from continuing to go shopping, the two of them got on the flying sword and flew to the seat for the Supreme Elders.
Supreme Elders normally would not show up in front of other disciples easily, because they wanted to maintain the mystery to the lower disciples. Therefore, their seats were outside the circular auditorium. Passing through a barrier of isolation and perception, a clearing floating in the sky appeared in Xing Yun's sight.
All the elders who could come were here, and even the third elder also rushed back in a hurry.
"Why did you choose such a date? Didn't I say that I went to the Second Ice Realm to dig medicine and would not come back for a while?"
It was worth mentioning that the elders did not take out barbecue sets on the spot. Judging from everyone's neatly dressed appearance, they might have to show up a little later.
"Old Three, don't complain, even I also have to send a ray of Divine Sense here."
A familiar voice went into Xing Yun's ears. As he turned his head, he saw the projected figure of Sage Yun Qing. The moment he saw the old man, he immediately flew into a rage and destroyed the jade formation that was used to project the image.
"Ah... I feel much better now, Martial Uncles, I need to leave to prepare for the match."
After Xing Yun was gone, his genuine master's projection resumed. He habitually stroked the beards that did not exist and smiled very cheerfully, as if not at all angry with Xing Yn's disrespectful behavior just now.
"It is much better for this girl to have some temper."
All the Supreme Elders "..."
At the top of the leafy world tree, a palace was floating there quietly, the sect leader Xing He held his hands behind his back, and the active elders stood in a row not far behind him.
"It is time, let's start."
After receiving Xing He's signal, one of the elders took out a treasure mirror and infused True Vital Energy into it. In an instant, the interior of the palace was shining brightly.
Along with that dazzling glow, Xing He's enlarged figure suddenly appeared on the side of Battle Peak. He opened his arms as if he was going to embrace the entire huge mountain.
The appearance of a giant not only brought a strong visual impact, but also brought almost suffocating heavy pressure to all the disciples.
"I will only make a short speech."
The pressure suddenly disappeared, and the huge projection of Xing He also showed a faint smile.
"First, the purpose of the grand competition is to test and prove your own strength, remember not to hold a grudge against fellow disciples."
"Secondly, The final prize of this time is a three-year overseas trip with one person from any chosen peak, it is publicly funded, and all the disciples can participate in it at their own discretion."
"Okay, that's all. The Shang Qing Sect competition starts now!"
