The two fire wolves did not flee in a straight line, but dashed left and right from time to time, choosing rugged mountain roads to escape.
Lynn gradually became impatient, because the distance between them and the two fire wolves didn't get much closer.
"It's so troublesome, I'll chop off all the plants that are in the way."
"Don't destroy the surrounding environment randomly, otherwise we won't even be able to find our way back after a while!"
"I'm not a person with a poor sense of direction!"
Lynn said harshly, and immediately held the long sword made of golden particles.
It was the first time that Aker saw Lynn using such an elegant weapon. Holding a long sword, she seemed to be completely different from the girl who had waved daggers to attack him before.
She wielded the blade of a long sword skilfully during the chase, and the bushes along the way were cut down like thin paper.
"That sword is very sharp, it is an ordinary sword, right?"
"It's just an ordinary sword. The golden particles you touched earlier can be understood as part of the blade."
Aker couldn't help shivering. Fortunately, he just touched it with his fingertips. If he grabbed it directly, his hand would definitely not be chopped off...
"Whew..."
For the first time, he had this kind of lingering fear.
"Elder Brother, Elder Sister Lynn, wait for me! It's dangerous to keep chasing!" Loulou shouted at the top of her lungs from behind, "There is fire wolves' lair at the front!"
"She is right... but it's too late..."
Both of them stopped immediately and noticed the strangeness around them. Only then did they notice that they had run into the depths of a valley.
On the cliffs on both sides, dozens of brightly colored fire wolves were looking down at them.
With a loud howl, the wolves split up, and a wolf king who was much bigger than the other fire wolves slowly emerged from the wolves. Except for the pair of green eyes, all other furs all over its body were moving like a crimson flame.
As if showing its kingly demeanor, the Wolf King gave a loud howl again.
Using this as a signal, the fire wolves jumped down the cliffs and slowly surrounded the three people.
"Cough cough..." Loulou, who had never done such strenuous exercise, finally caught up with the two people in front, panting heavily, and quickly hiding behind Aker, "You are running too fast... cough... Dad told us before that the fire wolves are accustomed to catching prey collectively, and when their tails are erected, it means there are companions around. Elder Brother, you idiot, why don't you always remember! "
Loulou pounded Aker's back vigorously.
"At this time, we have no choice but to fight, right?" Aker took out the two pistols. He didn't seem to be nervous. "Lynn, it was you who first proposed to chase them. So what do we do now?"
"What? What did you say? Are you going to blame me? Weren't you running ahead of me? Hurry up and feed yourself to the wolf!"
Lynn stomped her feet with anger and pointed the point of her long sword straight at Aker. The two of you kept arguing with each other, the tension dissipated unconsciously.
Loulou looked at these two companions, her long sky-blue hair swaying gently in the wind half-covered her smiling face.
"The biggest victim is probably me. I blame you all for not listening to my advice. So, Elder Brother and Elder Sister Lynn, what are you going to do? "
"Isn't that obvious? Miss Loulou, you just need to rest on the side."
"I will save you and this man who will probably be eaten by wolves at any time."
Aker and Lynn both looked at Loulou with gentle eyes and then immediately glared at each other.
The wolf king, who had been ignored, was finally angry by the three people's nonchalant attitude.
It exhaled a hot breath and then jumped off the cliff. Its huge body spun half a circle in mid-air, then spat out a huge fireball at the place where the three were standing.
The air was suddenly heated, and the surrounding scenery seemed to shake with the hot air.
Facing this attack, Aker just smiled.
"Fire Wolf is really worthy of being called the overlord of this forest. It is said that they are the rank three magic beast, but it feels completely different from the description I heard. It looks more imposing now! But sorry, although I really want to seize this opportunity to learn about the so-called rank three magic beasts..."
He raised one of the silver-white pistols, aimed at the flying fireball, and pulled the trigger. A silvery-white magical beam was shot from the muzzle, heading toward the unstoppable fireball.
At the moment when red and silver collided, the field of vision was filled with the dazzling light caused by the explosion of magical power.
