There were people with painful expressions, magicians with frosty faces casting out magic spells. Screams, cries, shrieks, and various cacophonies of collapsing buildings were mixed together, and the thick smell of blood in the air was so heavy that it was suffocating.
"Go, Now! Everyone who stays here will die! Take the Light Flame Sword and don't come back here..."
The man fell to the ground as soon as he finished speaking, his hands still on her shoulders.
Staring at all this in front of her blankly, her chaotic brain still couldn't function normally.
"...No... No...No!!!"
…………
Lynn woke up early, her clothes were soaked with her cold sweat. She even forgot how to breathe in the next second.
She was inside the traveling tent. The familiar things around her made her walk out of her dream and understand where she was now.
"Damn it. It was that dream again..."
Lynn was fully awake now, and what she experienced in her dream seemed to be still before her eyes.
She took a deep breath of the morning air and shook her beautiful blonde hair.
The bloody smell in her consciousness gradually faded, but the pain in her heart still lingered for a long time.
Lynn clenched her fists. Several golden light dots floated quietly beside her like fireflies, and then condensed into a long sword nearly two meters in front of her. The delicate light golden texture seemed to tell how previous it was.
"I swear, I will definitely take revenge..."
Lynn muttered to the long sword, her slender fingers gently stroking the lines engraved on the sword. The long sword glowed with soft golden light as if responding to her strong feeling.
"Elder Sister Lynn, are you up yet—"
Loulou's question came from outside the tent.
"Mhm!"
Lynn responded loudly to Loulou. The long sword returned to the golden light dots and quickly dissipated in the air.
She put on the dark robe that accompanied her over the mountains and came here, got up, and walked out of the tent.
The forest at this time looked just like dusk. Although it was early morning, the sky was completely obscured by the lush branches and leaves, without a hint of morning light coming in.
Aker and Loulou were preparing breakfast, and there was a warm atmosphere between them.
——Family... At least, she must not drag them into this because of her.
Lynn reminded herself again in her heart and then walked towards the place where the siblings who accepted her were waiting.
…………
"Elder Sister Lynn, why did you leave home?"
Loulou chatted with Lynn quietly during breakfast. Last night, because it was late after Lynn woke up, and because she had just recovered from a serious illness, plus Lynn did not sleep all night, they ended the conversation very quickly.
Lynn closed her eyes and searched for a suitable excuse.
"I am looking for someone."
"Is it a very important person?"
"Mhm. Yes, it is a very important person..."
Lynn answered hesitantly. Hearing this kind of hesitant answer, Loulou and Lynn's understanding may be headed in two different directions.
"Elder Sister Lynn, is the person you are looking for... your boyfriend?"
"No."
After this. No matter what Loulou asked, Lynn did not answer.
Aker sat next to the two of them while silently eating the grilled fish caught from the creek and thinking about the next course of action.
The stuff he and Loulou carried with them could only help them to spend one more night in this forest. Even if they left this forest, their money would only be enough for them to stay in the hotel for about two or three days. And now Lynn who joined didn't have anything with her.
It was okay if he was alone, but he couldn't let two girls sleep on the street with him.
"The more I think about it, the more I feel it will become more difficult..."
This was probably a kind of psychological effect. After realizing how hard it would be in the future, Aker felt that his whole body was weak.
