🕑 Added 2021-02-19 03:21:27 +0000 UTC"Autumn~Rain of Love~" was the name of this game. As a new work released two years ago, the plot mode of the game was no longer limited to 'options', but was dominated by Level of Affection of NPCs.
If using Shen Qing’s words to describe it, it would be, "It doesn't matter whether the option is right or wrong, as long as the AI’s level of affection towards you is off the chart, you can also conquer her.”
The game was localized, so the name of the protagonist of the game did not have any restrictions, so I did not hesitate to use my real name.
I didn’t like to spend time designing my character. In terms of appearance, I chose to use my real appearance. I needed to explain first that this had nothing to do with narcissism. Even if it was a dating simulation game, I didn't want the characters in it to face a player who was completely made up from start to finish. Maybe this was also because of Ying's influence on me. After all, after leaving the game, she also recognized and accepted the real me without difficulty...
After entering the game, what appeared in front of me was a high school-like building.
Bailu High School-
‘Is this the school's name?’
Oh right, this was a small seaside city called Bailu City. However, from the map, this city actually did not qualify to be called a seaside city. It was said to be a small seaside city, but it was actually a half-hour drive from the sea.
After all, the simulation of sea tides and currents was very time-consuming and expensive. It involved a lot of fluid dynamics calculations, which was not necessary for a galgame with limited cost.
——As mentioned in the game introduction, in front of me was the best high school in this small city, located on Zhuxi Road.
As for the game background, it was around 2025. The artificial intelligence technology of this era was not as perfect as in reality. It mainly focused on the recognition of images and sounds. Smart Companions had not yet become popular.
Opposite the school gate was a flower bed with a fountain in the middle. On the front and on both sides were the teaching building and laboratories, it was the standard school structure.
At this time, it was the first day of school. A large number of students dressed in their daily clothes gathered in front of an exhibition board-like thing at the school gate. Saying that it looked like an exhibition board, because it was different from the ordinary exhibition board. It did not have a display screen. The displayed content was printed on paper and pasted on the board in a very primitive way for everyone to read.
When I got closer, I saw the words on the paper clearly read- "Class Arrangement".
Squeezing further into the crowd, I finally found my name from many papers-it was in the form of High School First Year, Class 2.
But at this moment, I saw a slender finger sliding on the form, seemingly looking for her name.
It slid all the way down from the first name, and then it slid above my name.
I looked at the owner of the finger. It was a girl with long orange hair. The white hairpin added a touch of scholarly elegance to her.
Because of her fair skin, the orange colour of her hair didn’t look so strange. Speaking of which...a certain female character in the previous game also had this hair color.
While I was looking at her, she suddenly turned her head and saw me.
She looked at me stunned for a full minute. I was also looking at her.
"Are you... Shi YuanXing?"
After a long time, she finally plucked up the courage, but still said my name with a hint of hesitation.
"Mhm, who are you?"
I had some idea about who she might be, but I still pretended that I didn’t know and asked it. After the experience in the previous game, I was less afraid to communicate with girls. But it was only limited to the girls in games.
"Eh... How can you not remember who I am? We used to play house together when we were young, and play water guns."
Play House seemed to be a game similar to a real role-playing game. Although it was a childhood game of my grandma's generation, this game was not suitable for boys to play… What exactly was my setting in the game?
"Ah— it’s you, long time no see."
I scratched my head, pretending to remember something.
As soon as my voice fell, floating words suddenly appeared on her head,
[Lin Liyu - Childhood Sweetheart]
Was it really her, one of the heroines of this game?
She smiled slightly.
"What a coincidence, we were actually in the same class. Since we separated, it has been so many years..."
She stopped suddenly. She didn't seem to want to continue this topic.
Of course, based on my years of gaming experience, this must be some kind of foreshadowing.
"Yes."
I just nodded-although she was also a beautiful girl, I already had Ying, so I shouldn’t get any funny ideas about her.
"A rare reunion, let's report to the class together!"
When she finished speaking, the world before her suddenly darkened.
[End of Prologue]
A popup floated in front of me. Was it just a prologue? I reunited with my childhood sweetheart, whom I hadn't seen for many years on the first day of school. Seemed like an interesting start. Now I was actually looking forward to what would happen next.
However--
[One year later, High School Second Year, Class 2]
What? Suddenly a year later? What the hell was this?
The image lit up again, and I found myself sitting in the bottom row in the middle of an ordinary classroom. There were kinds of high school teenagers and girls in school uniforms around me. They sat in their seats obediently and listened to the teacher.
...This was the campus atmosphere I was familiar with! Compared with the previous work that took place in Japan in the early 21st century, I was obviously much more familiar with this scene.
"Today's morning self-study content is..."
The speaker was an ordinary middle-aged man who was slightly bald. Words like his [name] and [class teacher, math teacher] were floating above his head. This function was really convenient... it could quickly help players familiarize themselves with this environment and play their role well.
"Then let the class representative lead everyone to read early."
As soon as the voice fell, the girl sitting on my left hand stood up.
Seeing me looking at her in confusion, she smiled at me.
So Lin Liyu was my tablemate? Thinking about the prologue again, I guessed that she was the main heroine of this game. After all, only she and the teacher had [names] on their heads. Having a name meant that they were not random NPCs.
Speaking of which, Shen Qing and Ying should also be in the game...Although this was a single player game, I really couldn’t imagine how they would exist in the game- I unconsciously thought of the last game in which Shen Qing was Meow Chan... If she still did this, then I might have a way to get back at her for mocking me.
"Yuan~"
……
I saw a girl with her orange hair braided into two ponytails tied smiling at me on the other side of my seat, and her appearance was very familiar. Talking in this tone and calling me this way... it could only be Ying, although her hair color and pupil color were slightly different, her tone and look still maintained her unique characteristic.
"Why did Yuan just come here? This school is different from the school I attended before. I have a lot of questions that I want to ask you."
Of course, it was not the same. The countries and backgrounds of the two schools were different.
But the language aspect was not a problem. One advantage of Ying as a program was that she did not need to learn a language. If she needed to learn any language, she just needed to add the corresponding translation program.
"Speaking of which, have you seen Shen Qing?"
I was very worried that Shen Qing would choose to escape because she hated me, and did not enter the game at all. But then that would probably be much better for me, I would not have problems doing it alone.
"That annoying cat is over there."
Ying also made no secret of her dislike for Shen Qing. The relationship between these two people seemed a bit inharmonious...
The slender girl with long black hair sitting in front of Ying was calmly looking out the window. This strangers-stay-away look was exactly the same as the iceberg beauty in the college.
Taking advantage of the five-minute rest at the end of the morning self-study, I walked to Shen Qing.
"Shen Qing, how did you get into the game..."
"It was the programmer who modified the game and let us replace the npcs in the game."
She gave the answer before I finished the question.
"You can even do this?"
The organization's "programmer" was a really mysterious person, and he could even change the game code at will like this. That kind of code would only give me a headache when I looked at it. If the "programmer" did it alone, then he was definitely not an ordinary person...
"But Ying is not a human being. She can also enter the game like this?"
"Anyway, she has self-awareness and can exist as a player. Compared to me, solving her replacement part is much easier."
I looked at Ying who was curiously observing the surroundings.
"By the way, don't talk to me and Ying often, if it alarms Awakened AI, then it is over."
If it was an Awakened AI with self-awareness, it may also have memories of previous reincarnation. Having bizarre plot deviation, it would definitely make it aware of something. Of course we were not very afraid that AI could infer our mission, but it was better to be careful.
There was no doubt that there was Awakened AI in the game. Judging from the previous analysis of the boss, there was a high possibility that it was one of the main heroines in the game that needed to be conquered, and there was such a person in the class now...
"--Wait, since you replaced these NPCs? Wouldn't you be discovered from the beginning?"
"Eh... you think the programmers doesn’t not know such a simple problem? Only you can see that our appearances look almost the same as in reality. No matter how powerful an Awakened AI is, it can't escape the limitations of the game system. They can't see the labels on the characters. It’s impossible for them to have the same permissions as the players. In other people’s eyes, Ying is still the straight-A student Ogiso with glasses, and I’m Kazusa who is late every day and likes to sleep in the class.
I couldn’t help but sigh once again that the programmer really had an amazing skill...
"It turns out that we can even do this... Is this your name in the game? It feels weird..."
"This is specially set to pay tribute to a well-known galgame released a long time ago. That game has been talked about for a long time. It is a legendary game..."
"Legendary game? What's the name of the game? I'll try it if I have time."
After all, it was a game that she who was a hardcore gaming otaku admire deeply, so it must be a good game.
"I don't know... I don't even know its name. It is not the galgame on the VR platform but on the PC platform with the front-end display. It was released a long time ago. I don't know what happened. In short, this work has become a craze on the Internet. As time passed, there is no record related to it on the Internet, as if someone completely removed it..."
Shen Qing… she shouldn't be called Kazusa here, showed a little regretful expression.
"That's why it's called the legendary galgame..."
"The only thing that is left of this game is the names and basic settings of the two heroines. It naturally has no copyright issues if all the information is unknown. The production company may have already closed down. To express respect for this work, many galgame developers indtroudec these two characters into their games as well..."
Was "Autumn~Rain of Love~" one of them...It sounded a little sad, looking at Kazusa’s regretful face, I seemed to have discovered the New World. It turned out that Shen Qing would show this expression...
"Forget it, the class is about to begin, go back." Then my first class in the game began. As a college student, although I missed high school life, what I missed was not class.
....................
"Good morning everyone! I am your English teacher, Han Yaqian."
The female teacher with big breasts, slender waist, long legs and brown ponytail standing on before the class had a sexy figure, but she still reminds me of my fear - English Class. Although she looked very approachable, she gave me a sense of security like the big sister next door... No, the sister next door didn't have such big breasts at all!
In short, compared to the previous bald teacher, this teacher was much better. It also made me think to myself that this seemed to have a lot of freedom. I wondered if I was able to conquer this teacher.
"Hehe, I think everyone has studied hard on the weekend, right? Then let’s test the vocabulary that I asked you to remember last week. Well... let’s test our English class representative first!"
After Ms. Han’s voice fell, the class was silent. Everyone was scared to make noises as if they would be called next if they made noises...
After 30 seconds, no one stood up.
One minute later, no one stood up...
Suddenly, I had an ominous feeling. The only possibility was that the English class representative was a poor person who did not know that he was an English class representative.
"Shi, are you okay?"
Lin Liyu next to me asked me in a low voice with concern.
"I……"
I was not sure why she suddenly asked me such a question.
"You are the representative of English class, stand up quickly."
"What?!"
"Well, you have been an English class representative since this semester, don't tell me you forgot..."
"Ah, I did forget..."
I couldn't believe it, this game system must be playing with me! Why was I the English class representative? I was clearly a player, alright!
"Student Shi YuanXing, are you okay? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"
"No, no..."
In the end, I gritted my teeth and stood up under the teacher's suspicious gaze...
Why was I the english representative? Did the game want me to represent the students who failed to pass the english exam?
"Just test a few simple words for you, you just need to spell it~ the first one, abandon..."
I stood alone and helplessly by the seat, because I had forgotten all the english words I learned in the past.
"Are there any other classmates?"
"I know--"
The person that saved me was… Ying?
"It's A, B, A, N, D, O, N!"
Ying, who was sitting next to me, answered the teacher's question for me.
Although I was very grateful to Ying for helping me out, I realised a serious problem. This may alarm AI? I immediately observed the surroundings carefully, but every AI student showed a slightly surprised look. It was almost the same.
"...Student Ogiso, thank you for your answer."
Even the teacher was also very surprised, so how could I tell who was Awakened AI if everyone had the same reaction!
A modern college student was saved by a high school student in the 21st century in an English class... It was so embarrassing... I could almost feel Shen Qing's mocking gaze.
"Okay today's class is over."
Eh? Obviously it was not time to finish class...
"Student Shi, can you help me get the exam papers in the office?"
"Wah! Teacher, no!"
Exams were like a student's nightmare. So at this time almost all the classmates wailed at the same time...
It was a pity that the sorrowful wail would not change the teacher’s mind. I reluctantly walked out of the classroom under her firm gaze...
However, as soon as I walked out of the classroom, I was lost- as a newbie player, I didn't know where her office was!
The door behind closed tightly, and it was obviously strange to turn back and ask about the location of the office. Just what kind of game was this. It did not have any turioual...
I was in such a quandary. Since the classroom was located on one side of the corridor, I used my limited reasoning ability, and then decided to follow the corridor to the other end to check the classroom sign one by one...
"Student Yang, you are late again! How many times have you been told not to be late but you are still late? Your grades are also very poor, just what are you doing every day?"
Before I reached the end, I saw a middle-aged man and a girl with long purple hair standing in front of a classroom.
I was familiar with that middle-aged man, who was our bald class teacher. But at this time, what attracted me more was the girl in front of him. A tall girl with purple hair, who was staring at the bald class teacher with cold and hostile eyes.
"If this happens again, I will notify your parents!"
"...I’m sorry, I will pay attention."
As if the words poked her weakness, the purple-haired girl finally admitted her mistake. Her attire seemed a little different from others. The school uniform (sportswear) was casually opened, and she wore a tight black T-shirt that revealed her belly button...
[Yang Jiahui- problematic girl who is often late]
Since such an introduction was displayed on her head, without a doubt, she must be one of the heroines of this work, and she seemed like a rebellious girl who was difficult to get along with.
"Oh, it's YuanXing. Are you coming to the office to get something?"
When my class teacher saw me, his face looked slightly better.
"English teacher asked me to get exam papers."
"Oh, okay then, her desk is over there."
His attitude has changed drastically, could it be because 'I' was a top student...
After entering the office, there was another scene inside. Maybe because of class time, there was only one person in the office——
The long curly hair was tied together and hung down from the left side of her neck to her chest. The girl was standing next to the printer, her amber eyes revealing anxiousness. Seeing me entering the office, her expression immediately turned into joy.
"Finally someone is here, can you please help me?"
A new event so soon?
"What is it?"
"I was asked to print important documents, but this printer does not work. I don't know what went wrong..."
I took a closer look at the printer. It was a model that is no longer in use in reality, and needed to use the antique computer next to it to operate wirelessly, but it was not a problem for me who specialized in artificial intelligence.
"I pressed the 'print' button, but nothing happened..."
"I think it's a network connection problem. If you change the permissions--"
I operated the computer over there, then the silent printer buzzed, and the printed documents came out one by one——
"Finally! Thank you, you have helped me a big time. This is a very important document. I don't know what kind of trouble will arise if it is delayed..."
"It’s okay, it's a small matter."
"My name is Bai Qingyue, and I am in Class 1 of the sophomore year. May I ask..."
“High School First Year, Class 2, Shi YuanXing。”
If it was two weeks ago, I might get excited for a long time because of talking to a few beautiful girls a day, but now, I didn’t even know if the other party was the Awakened AI we were looking for, let alone I already had Ying; so I couldn’t relax.
"Thank you, Shi YuanXing, please feel free to come to me if you need help."
She waved her hand to say goodbye to me.
At this time, the words [Bai Qingyue - A Campus Bella with Excellent Grades] appeared above her head.
Although I didn't know what the title of the campus bella was, she was indeed a beautiful girl.
When I returned to the class, the English class was not over yet.
"What took you so long to come back?"
"Something happened on the way..."
"Sigh, there is not enough time for the exam, so the paper will be everyone’s home work."
As soon as the teacher's voice fell, I could feel that most people in the class were relieved...except for two people.
"That's a shame."
Saying that this was a shame would undoubtedly be Ying. Like studying was originally her character setting. But now it seemed to have become her habit.. Even if she came to another game, she still had this kind of habit.
"Humph."
I didn’t understand what Shen Qing's cold snort meant. As the top student in the college, she would not be afraid of such an exam.
Letting out a sigh of relief like NPCs, I seemed to have really become her hindrance.
"Yuan, why took you so long? Did you meet some suspicious person?"
Ying looked at me and said with worry. It could be seen that she had been waiting anxiously. After changing her hair color and pupil color, her current appearance was a bit more serious than the previous. She looked much more suitable to be a girlfriend now. This thought suddenly came into my mind.
"No, I just went to get the exam paper, don't think too much."
I skipped the boring High School math, and the third class turned out to be physical education. I have always held a neutral attitude towards physical education classes, neither hate it nor like it. If there was 1000 meters run, physical education classes were not that terrible—
"Then, let’s do an 800m and 1000m run today!"
Then, the physical education teacher announced today's class. Well… I jinxed myself...That said, in reality, I would have a stomachache from 1000 meters, but I should be invincible in the game.
But it turned out that was not the case.
After running the first 1000 meters, I fell into a semi-coma due to low blood sugar. I couldn’t see things at all, as if the VR device was broken. Why should this terrible game be this realistic in such an unnecessary place?
At any rate, under the support of the classmates and Ying's caring gaze, I found a resting place under the big tree in a remote corner behind the teaching building. This frail body was really useless.
In order not to arouse Awakened AI's suspicion, Ying finally reluctantly returned to the physical education class under the supervision of Shen Qing. Seeing that the two didn’t get along with each other, I could only tell Ying to be obedient.
A little sunlight shone softly on my face through the gaps in the leaves, making me just want to sleep. However, there was no concept of sleepiness in the game. This was a game that ran at a time-lapse ratio of 10 to 1. If I accidentally fell asleep, several hours may pass...
"Pa--"
What happened!
Just as I closed my eyes, I felt something dangling beside my face.
I opened my eyes and turned my head to the side. I saw a thing swinging… No, it shouldn't be called a thing, it was a pair of feet in lace stockings and small leather shoes.
First of all, I did not have a foot fetish, and I was not happy to see this kind of thing dangling beside my face.
So who would be so reckless? Obviously I was resting here, but the person still stretched her feet to my face and dangled besides... I just raised my head, but what I didn't expect was that I saw a pair of strawberry panties next.
The owner of the strawberry panties, who was also the owner of those feet, was a girl in lace and old-fashioned styled clothing, no… looking at this petite and cute face, she should be called a little girl... Her silver curly hair was braided into two ponytails, and with various accessories, she looked very cute.
She looked like a junior high school student, but why did such a girl appear on the Senior High School’s campus? And also wearing this kind of unusual clothing...
When I was thinking, she also noticed my gaze, and as she lowered her head, her eyes met with mine.
“……”
“……”
Oh no. She discovered that I was staring at her underwear? !
I was so careless! She would definitely yell, and then I would be sent to the police station for education while being named 'a pervert'. Then I would be released under Ying's disappointed eyes and Shen Qing's contemptuous eyes…
However, the girl with two ponytails neither yelled nor kicked me flying. She did not even have any reaction. As if she hadn't seen me, she looked up at the leaves again...
"Huh? What is he staring at? There is nothing above me..." The girl murmured after staring at the leaves for five minutes.
"Of course there is nothing."
“……”
She suddenly looked at me with her eyes wide open.
"You, can you see me?!"
"Of course, I can see you."
"Huh, humans shouldn't have the ability to see me!"
"I even saw your strawberry panties..."
"What! Strawberry panties?!"
Her face turned red all of a sudden, and then... she jumped directly off the branch.
But the sad thing was that her landing area happened to be my leg.
“！”
This game... After she fell on my legs, even as a player, I also felt pain.
By the way... the boss seemed to have said that this GALGAME seemed to be R18.
"--Ouch! Get off me!! Quick!"
"How is it possible, how can I touch you!"
"Hurry up! It hurts!"
God damn it. Why the pain felt so realistic in this game.
