Watching from afar, Yun Dan showed a knowing smile when he watched his little martial nephew rolling around.
"Originally, I wanted him to learn from Xing Ya, but it seems like... there is no need at all. Hahaha... As expected, this little girl is indeed extremely talented."
Seeing his second martial uncle smiled so heartily, an elder who accompanied him to see the fight sighed heavily.
"As an elder of our Shang Qing sect, she has a very high status. How can we let her roll around on the ground like a child like this? It is undignified! Let me..."
"It's okay, Xing Zhui, you are so uninteresting. You don't understand the fun of young people," Yun Dan raised his hand and stopped the accompanying elder Xing Zhui, "Furthermore, this little girl, Xing Yun, is still six years old. Although she is clever, she is still a child. If she is willing to, just let her be."
"……Sigh!"
Seeing Yun Dan protect her in this way, Xing Zhui could only condense a thousand words into a sigh.
Back then, Xing Ya was also so spoiled by him like this, and that caused Xing Ya to become as innocent as a piece of white paper now, without any experience in getting along with others. Now that he wanted to soil Xing Yun again; this made him hard to not regard Xing Yun as the second Xing Ya.
Thinking that in the near future, there would be one more innocent, silly girl in Shang Qing Sect, Xing Zhui couldn't help but feel that his trigeminal nerve spasm, which was getting better in recent years, began to worsen again.
Headache!
It was the kind of pain like his head was about to explode!
In fact, Yun Dan’s intention was completely opposite to what Xing Yun and his martial nephew had guessed. He had seen how clever Xing Yun was. Although it was not clear why he had such a mature mind when he was only six years old, based on the point that he didn't covet Shang Qing Sect alone, he would have no worries to leave his innocent, silly disciple to him, and let him teach her how to have a foothold in this unpredictable world.
After thinking about Xing Yun's potential nature, the corners of Yun Dan's mouth gradually curved a strange arc.
—— Shang Qing Sect probably was going to usher in the second troublesome kid.
He returned his sight on the fighting platform again, and in less than the time to burn an incense stick, the outcome was already clear.
In fact, there was no such thing as winning or losing in this fight; no matter how terrifying this sword cultivator disciple's talent was, it was impossible for him to fight Xing Ya who had already formed a Golden Core long ago if he was only at the foundation establishment.
Seeing that the sword cultivator disciple no longer had any energy to support him fight her, Xing Ya politely used the ribbon she "borrowed" from her junior sister to gently "send" the sword cultivator disciple out of the platform.
Pa!
Bang!
The sword cultivator disciple was embedded a few centimeters deep inside the wall.
No matter how one looked at it, being sent out like this was still a bit excessive; however, the sword cultivator disciple didn't express the slightest dissatisfaction. He simply made a fist-and-palm salute to thank her, and then turned and left.
After having fun, Xing Ya no longer accepted other people's fighting invitations or guidance requests. Then she took the brisk steps, falling over every three steps and staggering every five steps, and scrambled towards Xing Yun who was squatting in the corner outside the platform.
Seeing the dust on his face, she immediately exclaimed: "Junior sister, how did you become so dirty!"
Then what she said next almost made Xing Yun want to curse, "Huh? Don't you know some clean spells?"
Trying not to reveal the dissatisfied look, Xing Yun took back his ribbon that would float behind him when there was enough energy from his senior sister and smiled gently: "No."
"Oh! That's okay, I can teach you... Huh? Why don't you have any True Vital Energy?"
"I……"
"Not having True Vital Energy is a very important matter! Quick, let's go and see my master. True Vital Energy is the source of cultivators' strength. What happened to you before? Did something go wrong during the thunder tribulation? Poor little junior sister."
"No, I"
"It wasn't that? Then you must have fallen into Qi Deviation during your cultivation practice. This is a very dangerous matter. Come, follow this senior sister to see my master. "
"Wait……"
"This matter can't be delayed! It's a matter of life and death, so you shouldn't be careless!"
"can……"
"We have to see my master. It's okay. This Senior Sister has a flying cloud that can take you with me..."
"Can you let me say something!"
This shout that Xing Yun was finally able to make made him feel so good that he felt like he had ascended. To be honest, it took him so long to yell at her, he felt that he was already a model of respecting the elders.
This senior sister was stunned that she forgot everything she had just said. ？
"Huh?... Junior sister, you mean..."
After calming down, Xing Yun pointed to his nose and said: "I haven't started cultivation practice yet, how would I have True Vital Energy!"
"Oh... you just climbed up from the Sword Cliff yesterday. I forgot about it. Oops..."
Had it not been for the fact that he was still very short, Xing Yun would have already knocked her head and told her to use her brain more often.
"It was the day before yesterday... Forget it, Senior Sister, didn't you say that you want to take me to the Fifteenth Martial Master? We can go now..."
"I was wondering who caused such a big disturbance, it turns out that Senior Sister Xing Ya was making fun of ordinary disciples again."
At this moment, an extremely mean and sarcastic voice floated to the ears of the two.
Xing Yun turned his head as he heard the voice, an elegant young man appeared in the sight of the two of them. He had a handsome face, and there were many disciples surrounding him, as if he was regarded as the core of this small group.
Xing Yun was still not clear about the identity of the person, but since he could speak to Xing Ya in this way, then this person was most likely not on a good term with Xing Ya, and it was very likely that he was an arrogant young master type of person.
"His family name is Du, and his given name is Teng. He is the core disciple of the Shang Qing sect's Clasping The Moon Mountain, and he also has another identity - the son of the ninth elder of the main peak."
Xing Ya's timely explanation confirmed Xing Yun's guess, and her serious appearance also proved that she and Du Teng had conflicts.
Silently remembering the person's appearance and name in his heart, Xing Yun just nodded when he heard the words, and then stopped speaking.
He wanted to see how arrogant and domineering this man was in this sect with his identity as the second generation.
The hierarchy of the Shang Qing Sect was Supreme Elders → the current Sect Leader→ the Main Peak Elders → the current Mountain Leaders→ Disciples. Although the sect leader was selected from the elders, its status was higher than the elders. Although the closed-door disciples of the Supreme Elders like Xing Yun and Xing Ya enjoyed the treatment of elders, they were considered to be at the same level as the sect leader elected by the Supreme elders. In other words, even if this Du Teng was the son of the ninth elder of the main peak, he still had to call them Martial Granduncle respectfully when he saw them.
Call Xing Ya senior sister directly clearly showed how arrogant and conceited he was.
"Tsk, Tsk, Senior Sister Xing Ya is still that indifferent toward her future Dao Companion. Huh? Is this the little junior girl who has disappeared for six years? As they all said, you do look really cute. Hahaha. "
"Junior sister, let's go."
Pulling Xing Yun's hand, Xing Ya turned around to leave.
However, before the two of them set foot on the Xiang Yun magic weapon, Du Teng stopped in front of them one step ahead.
"That was the nonsense my master said when he was drunk. I hope you don't treat a casual remark as an order and make a big fuss about it in the future. Moreover, don't spread this kind of baseless rumor again." Seeing Du Teng stopped her, Xing Ya said coldly.
"Senior Sister, you have misunderstood me. I just want to give the little junior sister a meeting gift, nothing more."
Du Teng suddenly revealed a noble gentleman's temperament all over her body; this kind of innate quality made him look like he wasn't lying.
Taking out a bracelet that exuded the brilliance of treasures from the interspatial pouch, and pushing it forward gently, and the bracelet automatically floated in front of Xing Yun.
"It's just a small token of goodwill, I hope little junior sister can-"
Before Du Teng finished speaking, Xing Yun took the bracelet into his arms without hesitation, raised his head in the dumbfounded looks of the other two, and revealed a brilliant smile.
"Thank you."
"...accept it."
"Mhm. I accept it." Xing Yun directly used the new skills that were taught by his acting master last night.
Yes, the reason why Fairy Yun Xia made him stay up so late before leaving was not to teach him the cultivation method but to teach him how to pretend to be dumb.
Do not ever reveal your true emotions. Calling other people elder brother using a sweet voice while smiling at them, but when they let their guard down and turn around, stabbing them from behind; this kind of sneak attack method is much better than all other sneak attacks - some hooligan fairy.
Judging from Du Teng's stunned reaction, the preliminary test of skills was considered a success.
But it was just a momentary, and he soon returned to normal.
"Little Junior Sister is really the reincarnation of a celestial fairy. If I hadn't had a marriage contract with your senior sister first, I'm afraid that I would've been pursuing you now."
As soon as he said this, Xing Yun noticed that the eyes of his senior sister had a strange luster and it disappeared very quickly.
"Hmph, Junior Sister, let's go, we should ignore this kind of person."
After saying that, Xing Ya pulled Xing Yun onto the magic weapon, and flew towards the direction of their fifteen martial uncle, leaving Du Teng alone in the fighting arena fanning his folding fan.
Above the cloud, Xing Yun squinted his eyes to admire the scenery below.
"Senior Sister."
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"You were touched just now, right? You were touched by Du Teng's statement, right? I want to sell out your cute little junior sister, right?"
"Don't, don't talk nonsense, I wasn't thinking about marrying you to him so it would be easier for me to get rid of him. Mhm. Absolutely not!"
Xing Yun: “……”
Chapter 14: Respect the Master and Respect the Way
The embarrassed look of her turning her face sideways and refusing to admit it after being pointed out what she was really thinking was really cute, but Xing Yun didn’t have time to appreciate her cuteness at the moment. He felt melancholy. He felt that if he didn’t remind the senior sister again, they would immediately experience an aviation accident in Xianxia World.
"Senior Sister! Senior Sister, watch out!"
"No. You are trying to trick me. I said I didn't think it that way... Uh wahhhh..."
Boom!
The deafening explosion startled away a large number of celestial birds. They rushed to stay away from the place where the billowing black smoke appeared. The beasts on the ground also moved their nests quickly, for fear that something might come down.
At this time, there was a huge impact crater in the woodland, and the original beautiful scenery became a messy aviation disaster site under the side effect of the appearance of the big crater.
Xing Ya crawled and sat in the middle of the impact crater, rubbing the painful spot on the top of her head: "Ouch... eek! My cloud was destroyed again. The Fifteen Martial Uncle is definitely going to scold me again..."
Cleaned up the dust on her body, tilted her head, and thought about it, only then did she remember that she had taken a person with her before the crash.
"Eep! Where is Junior Sister! ？ She was just next to me earlier..."
As soon as these words came out, Xing Ya felt the place under her buttocks didn't feel right.
She stood up abruptly to assume a fighting stance; just when she was about to shout "who is it!" she found that there was a familiar human figure in the place where she was sitting.
"Eh?... Wahhh! Junior sister! Junior sister, please don't die!"
Finally remembering that this dress was worn by her junior sister, Xing Ya hurriedly went over and dug out the butt-cushion Xing Yun from the pit.
Turning over, before Xing Yun was able to gasp for breath, this elder sister burst into tears, and her reaction made Xing Yun almost breathless.
"Wahhh~ Junior Sister, my poor little Junior Sister! Why did you die!"
To be honest, had Xing Yun been a hot-tempered guy, he would've already got up and beaten this dummy.
Jumping up from the ground like a fish; accompanied by the piercing scream of "AH! Zombie!" of the dummy elder sister, Xing Yun turned his head and spat out all the dust in his mouth on her face.
"I'm alive and well!"
"Oh."
“……”
Perhaps, she realized that she was really in trouble. Xing Ya became very quiet, but her hands didn't stop moving. Many bottles were taken out from her interspatial pouch, and she desperately wanted to stuff all kinds of pills into Xing Yun's mouth.
In fact, this Heavenly Mountain ice silkworm clothing given by Fairy Yun Xia had absorbed all the impact force, and Xing Yun didn't suffer any substantial damage. At most, he had just eaten a few large mouthfuls of soil.
However, since this senior sister didn't do it on purpose, and she was desperately trying to apologize to her in her own way, Xing Yun didn't get mad at her about it much.
It was unnecessary and meaningless.
After taking the medicines that were used for recovery and put them back in his interspatial pouch, Xing Yun asked while looking at the surrounding environment: "Where is this?"
Looking around, Xing Ya nodded naturally: "I don't know!"
Xing Yun: “……”
"I really don't know!" Seeing Xing Yun showing a look of despising how dumb she was, Xing Ya hurriedly explained, "I usually live in the back mountain, that is, I go to the front mountain every day when I eat, and then ten or so years have passed since I retreat and practice outside, so I really don’t know where this is."
This was probably one of the most important reasons why Xing Ya became a patient with personality defects. She always had closed-door training without communicating with other people. She was already lucky enough that she didn't have depression or become an introvert.
"By the way, Junior Sister, do you know where this is? I have never been to this place before..."
"I have just entered the sect for three days, how would I know?"
Xing Yun responded and then took out the map of the sect from the interspatial pouch.
The flying speed just now was not too fast. Counting the distance and height of the fall, and then calculating the acceleration...
The blank area on the map! ？
Staring at the blank space for a while, he finally found the reason why the map would be blank on the line next to it: Your sister, I forgot what this place was like, so I won't draw it. If you accidentally come here, Little girl, don't panic. In theory, there is nothing in this place that can kill you.
There was also another line below: Mhm! In theory!
So now Xing Yun suddenly felt that it was really a wrong choice to let Yun Xia be his acting master.
This elder sister was not reliable anymore!
Especially the following line! Just looking at it would give Xing Yun the shivers.
"Anyway, let's look around. Although the little world of the Shang Qing sect is vast, there are many members in the sect. I think we should be able to meet some people."
Even though Xing Yun said that, he had already held the Thunder Talisman in his hand. In this way, he felt more secure in the unfamiliar environment.
"Okay."
Although Xing Ya was a dummy, she would not drop the ball when encountering serious things, and she also held the protection talisman in her hand to protect Xing Yun.
"Actually, isn't Senior Sister a sword cultivator?" Seeing that Xing Ya didn't take out any weapons like flying swords, Xing Yun suddenly became a little curious.
"No, I'm not a sword cultivator," Xing Ya replied while watching out the surrounding environment, "I am a body cultivator, although my master always wants me to switch to sword cultivation... but sword cultivation is too troublesome. You have to nourish a Sword Embryo, raise a Sword Soul, and cast a Sword Scabbard, it is much easier to practice Body Cultivation."
Xing Yun: “……”
Anyway, it was basically certain that if the two of them wanted to leave here, they needed to rely on the strength of their legs.
The dense forest was filled with a thin layer of mist, as if it could interfere with the cultivators' vision, making the scenery in front of them seem quite illusory.
Rubbing his eyes, when Xing Yun opened his eyes, he found that Xing Ya had disappeared beside him.
Chapter 15 Suddenly Cultivating Qi Inexplicably
As a person who was staying in a strange place with a natural airhead who had a screw loose in her head, Xing Yun felt that he was under a lot of pressure, not because it was difficult to survive, but because he felt that he was going to be nagged to death by the mouth of his senior sister that could not stop talking for a single second.
After confirming the fact that she had forgotten to carry a usable flying sword with her, she began to apologize to Xing Yun all the time. Starting from the aspect of her poor memory, she kept talking all the way until Yun Dan's secret crush on the sixth Martial Uncle. It was the two completely unrelated events, but she could actually say it as if it was the same topic. From this, Xing Yun could tell that the everyday life of martial uncle Yun Dan was not easy.
Originally, Xing Yun wanted to communicate with others. But after meeting with Xing Ya, who he couldn’t have a normal conversation at all, he felt that what he needed to worry about now was not suffering from autism, but anxiety...
Just the thought of this made his head ache greatly.
But soon, Xing Yun got rid of the state that made his brain ache.
Not only did he get rid of that state, but he also got rid of that dummy elder sister who was constantly talking.
In confusion, he looked around at the familiar scenery around him, and Xing Yun clenched the talisman in his hand.
The environment was still filled with ethereal mist, quiet and tranquil, but, the celestial birds stopped chirping, and the celestial beasts stopped roaring. The environment he was in was like space with its time being frozen, he could not feel a trace of life, nor could he notice trances of anything.
Standing in place without moving, Xing Yun continued to observe the surrounding plants.
After a while, space still remained stagnant as before, and Xing Yun called out softly: "Senior Sister? Are you here?"
As if being in an empty valley, his voice echoed in this place for a long time, but then, everything in the place to life instantly, as if the paused picture was disturbed by his voice. The seemingly illusory world suddenly became "real".
Xing Yun was taken aback by the sudden change and subconsciously raised his head, trying to check if it was some elders that intervened and helped him.
But what he saw after raising his head was not the elder's teasing smile. All he saw was a bright light, a bright light rushing toward him.
"Holy shit!"
Following instinct to jump to the side, trying to avoid the stream of light falling from the sky, but he has only learned external body training technique, so it was still difficult for him to completely avoid the rushing light with his current body.
The stream of light hit the spot where he stood before, and the violent explosion instantly blew away everything in the surroundings.
The shock wave entrained with broken stone fragments destroyed everything in the explosion range, and Xing Yun who was also in the explosion range wasn't able to avoid it at this time.
He curled up his body into a ball, reducing the impact area as much as possible, and made all preparations, but the turbulent impact strangely has not arrived yet.
Raising his head in surprise, he realized that the explosion he had seen was just an illusion, and he was now in this illusion.
The dust from the explosion quickly dissipated with a clear breeze. In the pit, Xing Yun saw a sleeping baby. He slept very sweetly, sucking his thumb from time to time, and occasionally yawning in a cute way to continue to fall asleep.
Knowing that this was an illusion, and seeing this baby again, Xing Yun seemed to understand something in an instant.
At this time, another stream of light flashed across the horizon again, and there was also an old man who was on a flying sword seemingly chasing the stream of light. The speed of the stream of light and the old man were both very fast. In just a few moments, both reached the sky above where the baby was. After the stream of light arrived here, it disappeared, and at this moment, Xing Yun finally saw the old man's appearance.
Yes, this old man was the Supreme Grand Elder of Yun Qing who adopted him.
However, it was very different from the image in his memory. The old man was in a very poor state at the moment, his face was extremely pale, and the corners of his mouth still had blood marks that had not been wiped clean. He who seemed to be exhausted fell not far from the crater. Not knowing how long it had passed, he woke up slowly.
After getting up and adjusting his breath for a while, Sage Yun Qing realized that there was an abandoned baby sleeping soundly in the messy environment in the distance.
When his eyes fell on the baby, the baby also had a tendency to slowly wake up. After hesitating for a while, Sage Yun Qing sighed and picked the baby up.
Xing Yun couldn't hear what he was talking about, but he saw the waking baby suddenly bite the finger of Sage Yun Qing.
Seeing this, Sage Yun Qing laughed, thinking that the baby was being naughty, but suddenly he was shocked. Seeing this, Xing Yun knew that what would happen next must be related to why he was being so valued by the Shang Qing Sect. But just when he was watching carefully, not wanting to miss any details, this illusion suddenly shattered, like a broken mirror. Pieces of space fragments were scattered randomly in the endless darkness, wandering aimlessly, and the broken illusion was also fixed on the moment when Sage Qing showed a shocked expression.
Xing Yun stood in this chaos, surrounded by those fragments, looking up at the book exuding golden light.
"Three thousand great paths, all from the same origin, the journey of cultivation is long, where is the peak? Alas, the scenery of the past? The hope for the future? Is just a dream..."
The voice was like a large bell echoed in Xing Yun's mind, and the blood that he didn't know how to control was also boiling at this time. A stream of blood overflowed from the boiling ocean, slowly flowing into the empty Elixir Field; a stream of heaven and earth spiritual energy also fell into the clean world at this time, fused with the rising blood, and turned into a small golden cyclone.
Compared with the huge "Elixir Field", the tiny golden cyclone was just a drop in the ocean, invisible and undetectable.
However, Xing Yun could still clearly feel the existence of this cyclone. It expanded and contracted rhythmically. Every time contraction would draw in the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, and every time expansion would squeeze out a faint flow of true qi over his body.
Please forgive Xing Yun for using the word "squeeze", because he felt that he could only breathe out such a little bit of true qi after absorbing a huge amount of heaven and earth spiritual energy, which really could only be regarded as squeezed...
After the cyclone formed, the scenery in front of Xing Yun suddenly returned to normal. Xing Ya still apologized while exploring the road. Turning around and looking back, it felt like a long time, but...
It was actually only in a fraction of a second?
"Junior sister, please don't get angry, I recognize the road ahead of us now! That is the fifteenth martial uncle's...... Eeep—! ？”
Turning her head to look at Xing Yun, this dummy suddenly exclaimed.
"Junior sister, you... actually have a cultivation base now!"
Xing Yun shook his head abruptly. Feeling the true qi that gradually became weak as it reached the sole of the foot, his mouth twitched, "Yes... I don't know why I suddenly have qi..."
Xing Yun wasn't lying, because he was still at a loss about what happened just now. He temporarily guessed that this was related to the wisp of Divine Sense left by the old man. After all, the golden book in the sea of consciousness was transformed by the Divine Sense, but... the way he got the first wisp of true qi was really strange. ？
