In fact, in the end, the old man did not explain in detail why Xing Yun had to dress up as a girl. He just said based on the movement of stars in the night sky, he predicted that Xing Yun would have a great fortunate encounter in the future if he dressed up this way. In terms of what the encounter might be, he said he couldn't disclose it.
Most cultivators believe in divinations of predictions. Since Yun Xing was already in this world, he decided to observe the local customs.
Since it couldn't be disclosed, then he had no reason to force the old man to say it. After all, it was said that once heaven's will was disclosed, once fate would change.
However, the actual reason why Xing Yun decided to let go of the old man was that the old man had promised him a lot of things. He even said that once he returned, he would let Xing Yun pluck his beard. This showed how much the old man valued Xing Yun.
So to put it bluntly, in the end, it was still for Xing Yun's own good. He didn't know why this sect was so good to him that they almost spoiled him, but he knew that when receiving a drop of kindness, one must be returned with a fountain of gratitude.
He didn't like to owe others anything.
In short, this was the end of the ceremony. Looking at the crystal-clear jade stone that the old man’s divine sense turned into, in his hand, Xing Yun's mouth twitched slightly.
"Martial Uncle, do you think my master still has Alzheimer's disease? It is a common disease of the elderly, and the obvious symptom is that one would often forget things."
"It was common to see him forget things... Why are you asking this?"
"I think he has completely forgotten that I have not even reached the Qi Refining stage. I couldn't even peer into my own body, let alone release my Spiritual Sense to read the content inside it. If this isn't Alzheimer's disease, then I don't know what it is?"
Upon hearing this, Fairy Yun Xia suddenly chuckled.
"Sister, I was just wondering why you were frowning. So you are worried that you can't read the introduction to basics. Have you forgotten what your elder sister, I completely?"
"No. You are the seventh supreme elder, who carries a kitchen knife all day long to scare people."
"You little bratty girl!"
Knocked on Xing Yun's head, and Fairy Yun Xia caught him directly under her armpit.
"I, your elder sister, am your acting master now. Of course, you should learn the basics from me. Don't be unsatisfied. Others don't even have a chance to learn from your sister, me, personally.
"So I am a little bit suspicious now that the reason why you let me choose you; apart from having a bad taste, you probably don't have a single disciple..."
"Tsk... save some face for this elder sister, would you? At least, this elder sister is now your acting master."
"Yes, yes, beautiful acting master, now can you let me down first- AH! !”
The last exclamation was caused by Fairy Yun Xia not informing him that they were going to take off again. The scenery in his line of sight gradually changed from fuzzy to clear. When he recovered from his dazed state, he realized that he had already recovered, and arrived in front of his hut.
Pushing the door in in big strides, and throwing Xing Yun on the bed, Fairy Yun Xia suddenly laughed lecherously.
"Little girl, it's just you and me now, let's..."
"Go play with yourself in the corner, I'm only six years old now, and my body hasn't fully developed yet."
Rolling his eyes at the fairy elder sister, Xing Yun took out his interspatial pouch that was already filled with things and began to go through the things inside.
"Speaking of which, you can take back those three high-rank spirit stones. I don't think I will need that thing in the next ten years..."
Although one hand wouldn't make a clapping sound; without my cooperation, it still wouldn't stop this elder Fairy Sister from acting like a female paedo.
"Ah, you can have that stuff. Your sister I don't lack those... Speaking of, did you know that there is a type of cultivation method called Dual Cultivation? It can make man's pee-pee instantly stand up for a very, very long time. Your sister I happen to have read the books on these secret methods. So even if you are six, you sister I..."
"Hey, hey, hey, are you done yet? Don't make me call you a female paedo in the future."
Xing Yun's attitude was still so determined, which made Fairy Yun Xia smile with satisfaction.
That was right, just now... or from the beginning to this moment, she had been testing Xing Yun's nature and character intentionally.
Seeing that he was able to remain so calm and possess a considerable degree of wisdom, Fairy Yun Xia was relieved that he would be able to live alone in the next ten years inside the sect.
“Alone? Are you planning to follow in my master's footsteps and abandon me just right after becoming my acting master?"
"Of course not. But your sister, I have to go out recently, and it will at least take me three years and at most eight years to come back. So in the next few years, you have to use your status to protect yourself from being bullied."
As the old saying goes, there is no knowing what is really in a person's heart. So Xing Yun nodded and prepared to see her out.
"What are you doing? You want to kick me out?"
"Didn't you say you are going out? Then go back and pack up your things quickly."
"I didn't say that I would go out now!" She knocked on Xing Yun's head again, took the jade stone from his hand, and patted it directly on Xing Yun's forehead, "Your sister, I have to teach you some basic first. Why are you rushing to kick me out."
Xing Yun wanted to refute a few words, but the moment the jade stone touched his forehead, his mind was completely occupied by something else.
Because he found that a lot of things had suddenly appeared in his mind; along with the information pouring into his mind, there was also a warm current that soothed his spirit and made him in a state of mental relaxation and printed all that information in his mind.
Is this a kind of cultivation method transmitting technique?
After a while, the warm current disappeared, and the jade also disappeared.
Instead, a thin red vertical line appeared in the middle of Xing Yun's forehead, between his eyebrows.
It was not an illusion. After this "transmission", Xing Yun clearly felt that his vision became clearer, and his thinking became clearer.
Just when he was about to speak, Fairy Yun Xia said abruptly: "Be calm and stay focused, feel the message in your mind."
Hearing what she said, he hurriedly closed his eyes. Suddenly, Xing Yun came to an empty space, Fairy Yun Xia's voice continued to rush in from all directions, and suddenly an ancient book appeared in front of him.
The book opened automatically, and even though Xing Yun did not recognize the ancient characters on it, he could still understand the meaning of the words recorded in it.
"This is your supreme master's unique cultivation method, named: 'One hundred and three thousand great paths lead to one path...', probably. Anyway, you just need to remember that this is the real secret cultivation method of our Shang Qing Sect, only the people who have a special constitution like yours can only practice this method."
The book stopped turning, and Xing Yun's sight also returned to normal.
There was still some confusion in his eyes. This was a side-effect after suddenly turning on the inner vision. He shook his head abruptly, and the corner of his mouth suddenly showed a bitter smile.
Chapter 11: Respect the Master and Respect the Way
On that day, Fairy Yun Xia personally guided Xing Yun in his room and did not leave until very late at night.
It was also that night, she left the Shang Qing sect, this little world. Without disturbing anyone, she left quickly.
Early the next morning, Xing Yun originally wanted to pay a visit to his acting master and wish her good head, but when he came to her residence, he found that she had already left; so he also gave up the idea of performing this local custom every day.
After all, he still knew how long it would take Yun Xia to come back.
On the path of cultivation, cultivators naturally would seize all possible time to cultivate; this journey was slow, and only with diligent practice could one step on this path.
Everyone knew about this, so after the morning routine exercises, Xing Yun decided to... stroll around in this little world of Shang Qing Sect.
Practice?
Too much trouble, he could do it later.
The elder token that proved his identity had been activated by Fairy Yun Xia, and he could now traverse the mirror barrier at will and travel between the front mountain and the back mountain.
Of course, this decision was made after careful consideration. While he was still in a weak stage, he wanted to go outside to contact those disciples to confirm who was still hostile toward him. Then the name of this person would definitely be recorded in the little notebook of his so he would watch out for those people in the future.
This was the main purpose he wanted to stroll around for a while.
However, as soon as he walked through that layer of barrier, he was startled by the person who suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Huh? Little Junior Sister, you came here so early! Master said that you would sleep in late. After all, Martial Uncle Yun Xia left your room so late yesterday, it must have been very hard last night."
Such words would normally easily give people the wrong idea, but it didn't give people the wrong idea when Senior Sister Xing Ya said. Because most people would either be distracted by her innocence, or it was because they were trying to ignore her constant talk.
"Actually, Master asked me to show you around the sect and help you to get familiar with the sect quickly in the next few days. Do you want to see those elders and mountain leaders first?... Actually, Junior Sister, would you like to go to the orchard? That's Grand Martial Uncle's place. I think as his disciple, you will not be sent out by the restriction when you enter. If you succeed, we will be able to eat celestial fruits without being punished."
Xing Yun: “……？ ？”
"Ah, you are going to have breakfast, right? Then, I will take you to the canteen now. Today it happened to be Chef Gu on duty. Let me tell you, Chef Gu's skill is amazing..."
"Junior Sister, look over there. That's the Cloud-capped Platform, and the usual celebrations will be held there. The potatoes cooked by the master chef are very good. The last time I ate it was at sect completion a hundred years ago..."
"Junior sister, look over there. That's Wisdom Gathering Pavilion, there are many manuals and books in it. My master said that we should first go and visit the fifteenth martial uncle first. He said that to help you to get a... traveling tool or something..."
……
Now you know why people wanted to ignore her, right? Because she just would not stop talking.
And to be honest, ordinary people really couldn't keep up with this senior sister's pace. Not only could they not keep up, but they also couldn't even find the opportunity to interrupt her and let this machine gun temporarily cool down for a moment. Actually, they didn't even need to cool her down, because she was already equipped with a water-cooling system.
When her mouth was dried, she just cast a spell directly, then a water ball would gather in front of her immediately.
After drinking the water ball, she could carry on talking.
Alas, spells are truly convenient.
Rubbing his belly, Xing Yun began to think about whether it would be better for him to go back and practice first. At least, he should reach the stage where he could live by relying only on the spiritual energy of heaven and earth; otherwise, being taken around by this senior sister every day, sooner or later, the hunger would cause him to suffer from malnutrition.
"Senior sister... can we go..."
"Eep! You haven't eaten yet! ？”
You see, she had completely forgotten that Xing Yun hasn't eaten anything yet.
"You have been dragging me around on this cloud for almost all morning. I think that if you wait a little bit longer, I would probably eat breakfast and lunch at the same time."
"Huh? Really?"
The serious thinking expression scared Xing Yun almost into falling off the cloud.
She actually took it seriously!
"Wait, I was joking. Senior Sister, don't take it seriously..."
"Huh? Cultivators shouldn't make jokes at will, this will increase the probability of the breeding of Internal Demon, do you understand?"
"Yes... can I go to eat first? I'm really hungry..."
When it comes to cultivation, Xing Ya suddenly became serious. That serious look could at least last for five or six seconds, and then...
"Yes, yes, yes, you haven't eaten yet, let's go to eat first... By the way, can people really eat breakfast and lunch at the same time? If we can do that, then wouldn't it be much better if we eat one day's meal in one go?"
Xing Yun: “……”
Did this girl practice the cultivation method too hard that it fried her brain or something?
Feeling pity for the girl, Xing Yun explained in detail the joke he just said.
Knowing the truth, Xing Ya's face suddenly blushed like the sunset in the sky, beautiful and charming.
With Xing Ya's flying cloud, under the gaze of people all the way, two people came to the canteen. Basically, all the disciples that had been Shang Qing Sect for quite a while knew about Xing Ya, this Martial Granduncle. After all, she joined the sect very early. Moreover, under the personal guidance of the Second Supreme Elder, Yun Dan, she reached Destiny Golden Core, the lowest level required to be a Mountian Leader in the Shang Qing Sect, in only a hundred years of practice.
Of course, the main reason why she was so well-known was that she was a bit slow; in other words, she was rather dumb.
——No had never heard of people who reached Golden Core still had to eat three meals a day, plus one supper. Even those who had reached Foundation Establishment could live without eating anything.
However, this Martial Granduncle had a good temper. Even if she had a high status, she never used her identity to oppress others. From time to time she would give other people some advice on their cultivation practice. More importantly, she showed no interest in the position inside the sect. Therefore, not only ordinary disciples but even mountain leaders and the elders liked her a lot. They would never pretend to be kind in front of her and then act totally differently behind her back.
Xing Yun felt that this must be the deliberate arrangement of Martial Uncle Yun Dan, and he simply wanted him to understand how Xing Ya was able to make other people like her.
But thinking about the character of Fairy Yun Xia and the old man, he felt that he just needed to understand it; he was he, there was no need for him to be someone self. If ten years later, the two saw him carrying a kitchen knife and yelling, "Don't you dare run away, you little punk! If this old woman doesn't cut you into pieces, that !" Maybe those two people would be much happier...
In short, Xing Yun ordered two bowls of porridge.
To be honest, he didn't intend to pretend to be a lady. He was afraid that his stomach would be too easily irritated, so he planned to drink porridge for a few days to slowly adjust it.
As expected, after ordering the porridge, people began to get the wrong idea.
"Huh? Is that all she is going to eat?"
"Wow... She really eats like a girl..."
"Do you think everyone is a glutton like you? Besides, the little Martial Granduncle is only six years old!"
"Hey! Look, look, the little Martial Granduncle is so gentle... Alas, why is she with the seven..."
"You gotta be careful what you say. There are some things that you can't say."
"Look, look, she's so cute! I really want to hug her!"
"Yeah, yeah. Shall we... shall we ask her?"
"Speaking of which, the little Martial Granduncle looks so cute now, he will definitely look pretty when she grows up?"
"Eh? ？ "Hey! Did you guys see my flying sword?" Where's my flying sword?"
……
If Xing Yun hadn't been mentally prepared when he stepped out of the mirror barrier, perhaps he would have already run away now.
Just look at those people! One by one, all looked like wolves!
Chapter 12: Respect the Master and Respect the Way
Although Xing Yun felt very creepy when being stared at by many pairs of eyes, he still endured this feeling and kept quiet and slowly finished one bowl of porridge.
He admitted that if he suddenly stood up at this moment and raised his skirt and shouted "you didn't expect this, did you!" It would definitely cause a more interesting reaction, but considering his current situation and the temper of this senior sister, who obviously had a master-complex, sitting next to him, he felt that he'd better suppress this kind of impulse at this stage.
God knows if this senior sister whose reaction was slower than others would stab him to death because she had seen her taking a bath.
Regardless of what other people's original tempers were, as long as they had a gloomy look on their faces when they looked at him, it would be someone he should not mess with.
So it was better to take this opportunity to observe others, this was what Xing Yun mainly did while drinking the porridge.
The observation result didn’t disappoint Xing Yun. It didn’t take long before a more courageous disciple approached the two of them. Cultivators mainly focused on practicing cultivation, and after the initial curiosity died down, they wanted to try and see if they could get some "benefit" from Xing Ya.
In terms of Xing Yun? They would just take a closer look along the way.
"Greetings Martial Granduncle and Little Martial Granduncle."
Stopping a few meters away, the courageous disciple greeted politely.
"This disciple has recently encountered some obstacles when trying to break through the bottleneck, so may this disciple make bold and ask ..."
"Junior sister, have you finished eating? After eating, let's go to the fifteenth martial uncle, shall we? "
"Senior Sister, he is asking you something." Xing Yun reminded the senior sister who had been staring at herself drinking porridge.
"Eep! ？” Turning her head to look at the disciple suddenly, Xing Ya smiled apologetically at him, "Ah, I'm sorry. The Junior Sister is too cute, so I was a little distracted. About the bottleneck... I'm afraid that I can't help you, cultivators still have to rely on themselves more when it comes to overcoming the obstacles on the path of cultivation."
With just a glance, Xing Ya could tell that this disciple was not lying, he had indeed reached the peak stage of condensing Qi into a liquid form; all he needed was just one opportunity to break the shackles, then he would be able to set foot on the true path of cultivation.
Only when the qi became liquid form would one's foundation be completely established. Not only would one's lifespan be increased slightly, but it could also absorb the spiritual energy between the heavens and the earth to meet one's needs, and reach the stage of "transcendence" where one could survive without eating.
"This disciple naturally understands it. However, this disciple began the journey of cultivation by fights. Now that this disciple can't break the shackles, this disciple is afraid that only by having a fight, will this disciple be able to find the breakthrough opportunity, so may this disciple make bold and ask Martial Granduncle to give this disciple a chance to fight with his full strength."
After hearing this, Xing Ya was silent for a while, then she turned her head and looked at Xing Yun.
"I didn't understand what he was saying..."
Xing Yun, who was still drinking the second porridge slowly, almost spat his porridge on the table when he heard this sentence.
That disciple's meaning was so obvious, but she still didn't understand it! ？
Actually, this kind of common-sense question should have been asked by him.
Putting down the porridge spoon, Xing Yun glanced at the disciple who stood there like a sharp sword: "Most likely he is a sword cultivator and he can't control his sword well, so he is afraid that he would hurt his fellow disciples and affect their harmonious relationship when they exchange the sword fighting experience. Therefore, he wants to exchange the sword fighting experience with you, the easy-going Martial Granduncle. Maybe in that way, he would be able to learn something from the fight..."
"Oh," Xing Ya nodded, and then said, "I still don't understand."
Xing Yun put down the porridge spoon he had just picked up, and sighed helplessly: "He just wants to fight you, understand now?"
This time Xing Ya, the senior sister who had an eccentric way of understanding things, finally understood it.
She moved her gaze to the sword cultivator disciple, and revealed a beautiful smile: "Oh, so you are looking for a beating. No problem."
Sword cultivator disciple: “……”
As soon as her words fell, Xing Yun, who had started to drink porridge again, felt a gentle force holding him up. Then, the scenery before him turned into an empty square after a moment of confusion.
The sword cultivator disciple also stood not far away in a daze.
Holding the spoon and observing the surrounding scenery in a daze, seeing that the high platforms around the square were gradually filled with spectators, he immediately understood what this "square" was.
- A martial arts fighting platform for people to compete with each other.
The canteen was not far away, and many people were rushing here from the direction of the canteen.
After a little estimation of the distance, Xing Yun walked towards the edge of the fighting platform, while sighing that the person who chose the location of the fighting platform was really considerate.
The creator of the platform definitely knew that almost all the cultivators would have too much energy after eating, that was why he built the platform so close to the canteen, right?
Xing Yun's departure became the signal for the start of the fight. As soon as his feet landed, the sword cultivator raised the long sword in his hand and lunged it at Xing Ya's throat directly.
Silky sword qi was wrapped around the one-meter long green sword; vaguely, many people seemed to hear the ringing of the sword.
"Is he the inner disciple of the Sword Peak? I have never seen him before..."
"No, he is from the outer sect; but he is one of the sword cultivator disciples who are most likely to be admitted to the inner sect, in the inner sect competition this time.
"You know him?"
"No."
"Then how did you know?"
"Aren't they all written on the bulletin board? By the way, don't always look for the flying sword on your back."
"Eep! ？ Where is my flying sword! ？”
As the two disciples of the Sword Peak, one of the twelve peaks of the inner sect, talked about, this disciple showed a talent and strength that didn't belong to the outer sect disciples; even though his word qi could not be released as a form of attack, the sharp sword intent was enough to shock the audience.
However, Xing Ya just simply stood there with a smile and did not counterattack. With only a ribbon, she blocked all attacks several meters away.
No matter how this disciple attacked, he still couldn't break this seemingly soft barrier.
The sword cultivator disciple fought fully and delightfully, and he completely let go of restraint and used all the energy to attack this Martial Granduncle. With the inspiration brought by the all-out attack, his shackles began to loosen.
He could clearly feel this, so the attack became more fierce.
Many terrifying cracks began to appear on the solid rock slab, and the sound of swords became clearer and clearer.
The battle on the platform was very exciting. Although it was only a one-man battle, it was enough to make some sword cultivator disciples and mountain leaders who came after hearing the news enjoy it a lot.
However, there were still many "audiences" of this battle who were not paying attention to this wonderful battle, but to the new Martial Granduncle.
The culprit that attracted their attention was the wave of air created at the beginning of this battle. When Xing Yun jumped off the platform, he instinctively wanted to walk away from the platform as soon as possible, but the shock wave was still much faster than his running speed.
So what the audience saw at the beginning of the battle was this: Little Martial Granduncle jumped off the martial arts platform; Little Martial Granduncle was going to leave; Little Martial Granduncle was thrown out by the shockwave! Little Martial Granduncle tumbled into a ball!
Then the following picture was like this: Little Martial Granduncle stood up! Little Martial Granduncle thought that her pace was steady! Little Martial Granduncle was blown away and tumbled into a ball again! Little Martial Granduncle was persevering...
In short, at the moment, Xing Yun was hit by the shockwaves that spread out from the martial arts platform and rolled into balls again and again.
Until in the end he completely gave up the struggle, and the picture directly became: Little Martial Granduncle finally turned into a ball!
Do you say that fighting was relatively eye-catching, or a little loli rolling into a ball was more eye-catching?
Anyway, many viewers chose the latter.
