Weekly(ish) Teaser - June 17
🕑 Added 2024-06-17 19:53:13 +0000 UTCI seem to have given the impression last week that I was unhappy with my decision to go over to Blender for my animations, because a lot of people have since recommended me various other programs such as Maya or Unreal. So let me be clear that I am indeed very happy with the decision I made.
In fact, now that the initial learning period is largely past me, I find myself actually... enjoying(?) animating. I didn't even think that was possible, but here we are.
Other than that, development is going forward at a steady pace.

As someone who's had to or attempted to learn different software with different workflows in the past (in my case for recording music) it's never really easy to jump from one thing to another. You tend to gain some kind of muscle memory when it comes to shortcuts and stuff. Glad to hear you're getting along with it though.

Right? It actually disappoints me as a developer that a lot of amazing good talent is lost and not "marketable" for resumes and job interviews, with some of the best animation qualities or emotional beats (I still don't forgive you for making me cry with Ashe, lemon, I will never forgive you for that side emotional trauma you sent me along one-handeD). But it's uncanny because we lose so much talent because it's hidden behind the "eww, it's degenerate adult sex/kink stuff, the audacity", and you're like "shut up, Karen, how many times did you go on a pornsite in your lifetime? I bet you still hate on porn actors/actresses/producers but not when you need to flick that bean". And then we have the same people in dev industry doing the same... We should help desensitize adult-themed stuff as long as they're kept clearly tagged as ADULT.. it's no different than a producer bragging about an R-rated movie... Why is it ok for all of us to laugh and admire Deadpool Movie? Because Ryan Reynolds doesn't hold back and doesn't shy away. So I'm glad to be a patreon here, it's the least i can do.
