I don't get it... stella seemed to have grown so much during her trip to the citadel, and now seems to have gone back by 10 years... I had assumed having two known faces there would have aided her in calming down

Tryptic

The number two trait of a Mary Sue is that the story justifies and encourages their choices even when those choices are objectively wrong and would harm others. Stella panicking and running from the class is a failure brought on by her negative personal traits: this should be a chance for her to suffer consequences, reflect on those negative traits, and grow out of them to some extent. Having Ashlock encourage her, and having everything turn out okay due to her developing new, unexplained abilities is writing worthy of Rey Palpatine.

Tryptic

I may not be in the majority, so take my opinions as just one in a crowd. I still can't stand Stella as a character, and it only gets worse with time. Stella is younger than most of the people in the class. Her advancement is due to fruits, pills, and Dao insights. She occasionally gets help from her ancestors, but it hasn't been said anywhere that they teach her under normal circumstances. While her higher realm may make it easier for her to see and analyze movements, Stella as a character has no reason to know sword fighting. She has never been taught it. She has never spent any time in the story learning it. It's even been directly stated that she doesn't like to train; she lies around and cultivates mostly. All of her knowledge is directly related to her own abilities, so none of it would be particularly useful to people with different elements. But more than that, as a character she doesn't fit in the teacher role. There are other characters who have these skills, like Magnus Redclaw. Stella receiving roles and scenes in the story that should have gone to other characters, despite her background not supporting her having the required skills, is the number one trait of a Mary Sue.

Justice League

Oh! And there is that Mudcloak domination scripture somewhere on Sam!! It should still be with him. And remember Sam back when there was that 4-way dual, Sam said something about The Mudcloak Way, to watch out for an underdog building a staircase behind a throne???!

Justice League

“The door!!” Mudcloaks are amazing but also maybe not the best teachers for regular mortals. Love this chapter- magic-school-bus-Stella is hilarious! And we did notice that it has been 3 weeks, so maybe the next notice will be that twins are born??! Whoohoo!

Ethan B.

TFTC!! The Mudcloaks only continue to be more and more terrifying.

PMonk

Great that someone else is thinking of those guys. Most likely they are not dead. We should also toss Nymeria and Nyxalia in the MIA list.

Amosz

The portal remained quiet for a moment, so Stella took a few steps away and into a clearing. Hopefully, seeing Sam flying through hadn't discouraged the elite disciples. She suddenly remember his name... Also bro have it rough, he was promised of becoming her disciple only later, add condition of winning a fight that he was in disadvantage.

Erik Tóth

Thanks for the chapter!

Ash Mordant

Ah, Stella chapters... The true epitome of "Fake it til you make it" and always with a good laugh 😂 TYFTC

Basically God

If she develops pride in those she teachers, yes. Thanks for the chapter~♥

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter

CallMeTee

Quick note - Stella uses Sam's name like 2 sentences *before* she actually remembers his name. Not sure if that was intentional or not but it made me re-read the passage a couple times in confusion. If that was the intention, carry on. If not, maybe a teeny edit?

Philipp Battenberg

Poor Sam's getting buried (for the "suprise attack from below").

Philipp Battenberg

Doesn't sound like an earth technique, more like illusion (or similar affinity.) But it would be interesting what technique he got that he cannot use yet. Earth Qi Kamehameha (like some of the Mudcloak cannons)? We'll probably won't see it in the near future in any case.

Someone

Maybe one of the techniques the Mudcloak taught Sam makes him invisible? Not invisible. But easy to forget about. Very fitting for the Mudcloaks' style.

XKARNATION

Ah yeah, I'll remove the "almost" from that sentence

Philipp Battenberg

"strong enough to be considered an Elder in most sects and was almost treated as such in the Ashfallen Sect" I might be misremembering but wasn't Amber already called "Elder" a while back?
