RedFaux

I disagree

Guthan

Serena getting turned into a tree is kinda lame. Other people have killed and tried to cut trees down and got punished or warned. This is overkill 9000x.

Kendra Wilcox

That was a good ending. Kudos 👏

The-DM-Dino

Another amazing chapter and the end of a truly amazing book

Ethan Barrow

Great ending to book 5!!! TFTC!

Vincebourgh

Yeah, but minions with personalities and devotion are more interesting

Mufassa Tess

Great conclusion! Sounds like a blood lotus civil war arc is coming. So excited to see Vincent get what he deserves, as well as meeting some more of the blood lotus families.

Michael M

Great chapter! Love the ritual show

Alexey Gladkich

I don't think it is a divine Qi cultivator. The divine Qi present is likely due to worshippers and sap. I presume it cultivates Celestial Qi, like in the name of the Celestial Empire.

ShinyBlu

They meant that in the collections tab the chapters are missing from book 5

Sargon Yami

Is the world tree a divine qi cultivator? If so maybe it is no ash taking a hugh amount of qi from the leyline, but the haven forcing the world tree to cause the beast tide early.

Victor Mijares

So I always wondered xkarn. Do you know we're your story is heading. Or just write as you go, maybe with an end goal in mind.

SDCard

Thanks for the chapter! Congrats on finishing book 5!

Sargon Yami

Can there be such a thing as a death qi tree? If so ash could make a grove for the blightbanes. And they had one at nascant 5... man the guy must have been a premium graveyard guest.

XKARNATION

what do you mean? The chapters are unlocked for the correct tiers...

Deluis Serrano

Where are chapters 362-364 at?

alberforth

crazy good ending im so invested in this story

Manlor

That was intense! I can't wait for the civil war. Time for the Ashfallen sect to become the rightful rules of the area, and then face the tide.

jalapenochips

Starting the next book with the recruitment of new members would be a good chance to review the sect and introduce the setting. Then again, who the fuck is starting an ebook on the 6th volume?

lilcapt

Old Tom deserves to be the bastion that holds all of ashfallen city

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Nox's family are from a different sect.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Maybe we'll get some mentions of it in book 6 from the pov of some of the people who were there, from their recollections of the events or when they think back on the events. It'd be cool.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Especially once his mind is restored through soul healing under the moons. Since right now all he has is the leftover of his emotions, a mix of rage at Serena and pride and satisfaction at becoming one a part of the god he worships, kinda.

Vanessa S.

I hope someone remembers to replant Old Bill and he doesn't get left growing in the middle of the road. Such a faithful follower deserves a role/reward of some sort.

Vanessa S.

That elder who serves as Vincent's hound dog, who has secretly been trying to help Stella out, said that there were a bunch of people who were planning to rebel but just needed a central figure to rely on. Ashlock can serve that role, and hence the elder went back to report that poor Stella "died" and then meet up with these would be rebels. I imagine Evander Starweaver must be one of the families that was on the fence. We know that what is left of Nox's family is going to rebel. At least part, if not the entirety of the Silverspires are likely to rebel if they learn of how easy it is to get a silver core in one of Ash's pocket realms. The Azurecrest's might have already planned to rebel after being forced to do that whole subsume one another thing. I cannot imagine how much they hate Vincent and their leader for that soul tearing event. Not sure of the others, but I imagine the weaker families would be more willing to take a chance with a sect that offers cultivation resources and does not limit cultivation levels. Heck, anyone wanting to become a Nascent Soul cultivator will be tempted after knowing they would be allowed to advance. I imagine these families that hope to ally with Ashlock already know the Ashfallen Sect will not be leaving and are okay with it provided they survive the beast tide. Not to mention it seems it's too late to run away anyway.

lilcapt

Good stuff

Tacit Candor

Well done! Thank you for the chapter :) I personally found myself wanting more insight into the crowd's reactions to witnessing a star core formation. More gravitas, maybe? It went fast, and from Ashlock's somewhat nonchalant perspective... totally fun as is, but I'd love to see some more outside reactions, like the observers from other families, Old Bill's buddies, etc. Regardless, looking forward to Book 6! The set-up is just 👌

Demonlord

Thanks for the nice chapter 😊 Good ending for a book and I'm hyped for the next chapter and the civil war and fight against the beast tide

TreeReader

Great book looking forward to the next. All this evolution is a great start hehe

Roombot

Time for Ashlock to subsume the Blood Lotus sect!

Roombot

Oh yeah, did they find anyone to join the sect?

XKARNATION

Isn’t that basically what Khaos does?

Sleepking10

Sheeeesh praying ash gets a devoted hit man (besides Stella ) who doesn’t ask questions and uses death Qi to be like the grim reaper to his enemies 🙏 great book

XKARNATION

Would it be a tournament arc in this novel without it going terribly wrong

Alexey Gladkich

I think the prospect of going to a super-distant land wasn't taken well. They might've considered going to a different sect nearby.

David W. Baijense

Holy moly guacamole, what about the tournament??? 😂

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

we knew they planned to rebel, but not whether they planned to stay

Alexey Gladkich

Silverspires, as their Grand Elder planned to rebel for a while. They likely convinced some others. Surely, the fall of Skyrends was a significant shift. I don't believe the Grand Elder of Azurecrests would rebel, but his family might forsake him for rebellion.

Alexey Gladkich

Evans primarily referred to his family and Silverspires intending to stay and rebel against the Blood Lotus Sect Patriarch.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

> Evander exchanged a look with his sister before taking a deep breath, "Well you see... not everyone plans to leave. A civil war is about to begin, and it's time to pick sides." ------ wait, I just realized. This is said by Evander. This means that some of the other families plan to stay. Not just the Redclaws. This is new info. I wonder which other families plan to stay, and for what reasons.

Kennyevilmonkey

The trees have eyes! 👁🌳👁

Basically God

Heh~ so on one side you have those who want to stay and then those who want to leave which means they'll need a new leader... How convenient~! Thanks for the chapter~♥

Mark Nolwendil

I absolutely love ending the book with a prophecy.0Also, who wanting to stay is worth enough for the Nightrose to fight to make them come? I get it's a challenge to his power, but I wouldn't expect him to fight over the Redclaws staying.

Derek Boyce

Another great book, can't wait to get this one on paperback as well as for audiobook for book 3

Dino

Damn your fast

Dino

Thanks for another chapter

Quentin Cozzi
