mini-update: the j-horror video
🕑 Added 2024-10-22 17:51:36 +0000 UTCi know it's been a bit since i posted on here. but rest assured, the j-horror video is still in the works. it's looking to be a pretty huge project. it definitely won't be out for halloween, but i think it'll be really really fun. i have a bunch of really interesting movies lined up which are gonna be very fun to write about. the video itself is still in the early stages, but that's because i'm trying to take my time with it.
the general idea is "comfy japanese horror movies". so it's mainly a lot of retro, low-budget stuff. there's gonna be some v-cinema in there too. i'm currently trying to thread the needle on some of the overarching themes, which is always kinda tough. but, hopefully, it'll be really cool. i don't wanna spoil too much about it right now though, because i'm still gathering notes. the hope is to evolve my style further with this one, which is why i'm proceeding carefully.
i have a small portion of it written, but i'm trying to be very precise. i'll try to keep you guys up to date. hopefully it will be finished before the end of the year!
