- Made event #8 (that's the new one) trigger shortly after event #7 (note that the event only triggers, if you are in a relationship with Jane)

I had the same issue myself. I would start by eating a crapton of meals so that I had sufficient energy to do the games in one go (and gain some weight of course). Then, once I either met or surpassed the debt, I would still be stuck with her. This has been an issue since at least the previous version

I think the second weight stage for the coach is bugged. She's really tall and all I can see are her legs.

It should end, yes. Do you still remember what you did last to complete compensating the debt so I can reproduce this issue?
