A Polycule of Mars pages 50-51 pencils

Gonna drill down on some emotions in these next couple of pages, you know before we get back to the spicy stuff. Which is actually really cool, because it lets me practice drawing emotions, but like with subtly, which can be really challenging to nail.

September 2024 Monthly Pinup

The sketch I was hoping for was selected by the Lifeguard Tier Patrons for September's pinup! I actually wound up drawing this one a couple of times (in pencils) before I was happy enough with it to proceed to inks and colors. I of course made the pose ridiculously complicated, so it's really my own fault. Maybe I was being too precious with it. But in the end, I really quite like how it turned out.

I've been doing comics for twenty years now--how fucking wild is that--and yet there's still something about doing art for a comic put out by a publisher that feels like a whole other level of legitimacy. It's wild. But here we are! Big formal announcements are coming from Vault Comics soon, but you guys get the big scoop: Money Shot's coming back for a 5th volume!

August Pinup Wallpaper

I was asked if August's pinup could be cropped for 16:9 aspect ratio, so I figured... why not? It works nicely for this one. And as an added treat I cropped it what makes for a pretty nice lock screen background for your phone. How nice.

August Monthly Pinup: Jhailee

So many good suggestions for this month's pinup, but ultimately the winner was Jhailee! And who can blame anyone for voting for her? She's adorable. It's also always so flattering when people want to see more of my own characters.

I had to get some tones involved with this page otherwise I would have a hard time figuring out what squiggles were alien plants and what weren't when I go to ink it. I think it's shaping up really well though!

It's a hot hot summer, best to cool down with a quick dip!There were a ton of great suggestions for this months pinup. It was such a hard choice that it was actually a tie between Raven and Beast Boy and between Miguel, Chel, and Tulio when it came to the vote amongst the Lifeguard Tier Patrons.
