Inspiration for the gravitational lensing effect struck when I saw the first image of a black hole revealed in 2019. A completed painting/illustration for GH! I had a blast with this one and also tried out some new stuff. I used a matte painting method for the background using some royalty free images, and I'm pretty happy with how that worked out.
