ARA is still a tease
🕑 Added 2024-08-09 14:36:48 +0000 UTCSo pardon the week of silence here, I started to cook so hard that i ended up with like 6 half-finished, not-really presentable pieces...so I took the one I liked the most and ran with it until I had something.
This was an old, old sketch back from ARA's "Shower" monthly pinup (with the rings around it) that didn't get used. It made me remember the 'old ARA' where she was a bit more of a coy tease, like the maid pin-up I used for Milestones 1 cover.
I wanted to re-capture that a little bit, and debate with myself on how, when, or -IF- that's even still a part of her character. I think it could be at some point in the story, but for now it's just a fun little pinup to enjoy. I wonder what she'd be saying, and to whom.
Note to self: gotta draw the back flap of her outfit.

I think it's a great part of her character! She's an android and doesn't really have a desire for sexual nonsense, but she knows because of her design, it gets a reaction out of people. I feel like making her a tease kind of plays into her fun and almost ditzy personality.

It’s really interesting to see old Ara nowadays. It’s crazy how she’s had a character arc/transition to being more on the innocent/cutesy side now. I really like where she’s at in Fluff’s catalog of characters. No matter what tho, I’ve always loved Ara’s design and personality so I appreciate any art of her ❤️

I imagine her coy side would manifest as an iterative update to her programming on interactions with the crew, her need to learn, and the zeal at which she performs tasks. As she learns, the naïve absolute candor changes to the coy teasing seduction; at least with regard to reacting to the physiological changes the crew have around her.
