After previously covering the standout rookie season of Bennedict Mathurin, Tony East and I turned our attention to another standout rookie for the Pacers (how often can you say that?), breaking down how Andrew Nembhard grew from being a second round pick to a key starter. Nembhard was my assignment. So, since I've already written several articles this season focusing on the the nuances of his defense, as well as his high-level processing and passing, my selection for the one clip focused a little more on an improvement area before delving into his long-term role projection and what made him one of the brighter spots of the season.
As always, to make it easier to follow along, the clips, stats, and lines are included below, albeit with limited context to avoid spoilers. Enjoy!
One Play: Truncated drives
One Number: 14.7 -- the number of potential assists he averaged over the 19 games in which he started at point guard
One Over/Under: 18.0 -- average number of minutes played with Tyrese Haliburton
