Check out this new video where I share my first impressions of the Carvera Air, Makera’s new desktop CNC. And let me tell you... I’m pretty impressed so far, and I can’t wait to start working it into the mix.
As some of you know, I’ve been in the trade for two decades (did my machinist apprenticeship in 2002!)—writing programs for industrial machining centers (which I actually own a HAAS VF2) is day-to-day stuff for me. But as you can imagine, a VF2 is >8000lbs and isn’t exactly something you can park in a spare bedroom.
So when I got my hands on the Carvera Air, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it: real parts we can tie into 3D printing, useful setups, and custom G-code workflows that push this little machine to the edge.

Wow - great! I have a Creatbot 600, I'm also tormented by the Code, but I'm still thinking about how to insert a klipper there. Or for a new fee - or still for a regular one....!
