🚨 New Video Drop – My First Big Channel Collaboration!
🕑 Added 2025-05-09 16:57:11 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I’m excited to share my first major collaboration here for the Leckiestein channel—and it’s a big one!
Creality provided me their Raptor Pro 3D Scanner to put it to the test, and the result is a full-length deep-dive video that shows exactly how I use a scanner like this to create real-world designs in Fusion 360.
This tool opens up a huge new opportunity for us on Patreon—because it means I can now create high-quality, scan-based models from real objects that are ready to use in your projects. If there’s an item you'd love to see modeled, feel free to drop a request!
👉 The video covers my full workflow:
Unboxing and calibration
How I scan real objects
Mesh cleanup using Instant Meshes & Meshmixer
Importing into Fusion 360 for design
And a whole lot more...
💬 Let me know your thoughts, and what objects you'd like to see models for in the shop!
Thanks for being part of this journey—your support fuels every project!

Great video! In previous roles I used Leica full sized laser scanners to map scenes that were hundred of metres long, and Faro hand helds to map rooms, vehicle interiors, etc. They all required targets and lots of registration and post processing just to get a good looking and accurate point clouds. I've been intrigued by the hand held scanners coming out as I want to work them back into my work flow. Thanks again!

Great review video, including the other software and steps you used to get the data from Creality to Fusion. What is the name of the design plugin for Fusion 360 that you used to import and convert the OBJ to a solid in Fusion? Thanks.
