It's the same as diluting paints for all of it - usually I use less diluted paint to sketch the reflection with better coverage and dilute it more to smooth out the transitions. Or, if you apply more layers, you don't even have to dilute your paint that much (again this is described in either part 2 or part 3 as I was painting a purple reflection on her weapon)

You can use multiple references, as mentioned in the tutorials, you can take a reference photo in a black primer, use a zenithal highlight as a sketch or just use your imagination. Usually, the ccombination of these approaches is the best (especially on flat parts like blades etc.)

How do you suggest to diluite colors when doin nmm?

So is all nmm more sketching than actually using the light from a real light source? I'm new to all this nmm stuff. I use mainly Vallejo until I get my P3 paint set in March.
